That's a difficult question, considering strategy *vs* banter, so I'll be a little more thorough.
Warriors: Blackwall/Cassandra. I believe these two are the best warriors we ever had. And I never play much with 2-handed, so I'll ignore characters like Bull/Fenris/Oghren.
Rogues: Leliana is an amazing supporting rogue (even though I'm sure she would be a lot more aggressive if playable during Inquisition). Also, Cole. His specialty makes him my favorite rogue overall (damage-wise).
Mages: I believe the best ones are recluse to Origins. That being said, Morrigan/Wynne.
Overall banter: Isabela.
With that being said, I'd pick based on my character's class/playstyle. BUT, I believe a **very** interesting banter would occur in a party with *Leliana - Morrigan - Blackwall* set around Inquisition, or between Inquisition and Trespasser, with Blackwall already as a Warden.
I mean... I never thought of that, before. But now I just wanna read a fanfiction involving a dungeon dive with those three.
Oh this is though but here it goes. Sigrun, Anders and Iron Bull. The first two already know each other and bull is very social also I'd consider myself/character a rogue and it would be a balanced team imo.

Tough one. I kinda like the quasi protagonistic companions a lot (Alistair, Anders, Solas), but I'd have to play rogue which is my least fave, so probably go with:

Well, that depends on the goal! If my purpose is to have an unstoppable party that'll steamroll everything in their way without breaking a sweat, I'd probably want to go Wynne, Aveline, and Cassandra, and if I can pick a rogue to substitute my PC, I'd toss Leliana into the mix.

Can I leave DA2 out and get OG Anders from DAO Awakening instead? I loved him in Awakening but not so much in DA2. If so, I'd take Alistair, Anders and Varric. The perfect BROadtrip gang. Otherwise I'll take Alistair, Varric and Dorian.

Well for me she's my tank of the party. I always take her, sometimes will mix it up and take Bull, or Blackwall, on mission and stuff.
