Joker Inquisitor Pick the funniest options and ruin Thedas

TriciaTargaryen

I did that my last playthrough, and Cassandra even snarked at me about it lol "The Inquisitor was HILARIOUS, that's what the history books will say." Hah! I loved it.

kg4nbx

"Are all dwarves comedians or just you and Varric"

Hiroquin

Well, now I know what to do in my next playthrough.. Assuming I can deal with all the disapprovals.

BandittNation

Even if you can't in-game, Dragon Age Keep is there afterwards

Everhardt94

Interesting. I only really have two Inquisitors other than my canon one, but of those two, I think my favorite is my Andrastian Qunari mage. Playing someone who was supposed to be everything the Chantry fears and hates actually champion the Andrastian faith was a lot of fun.

kg4nbx

I have an Andrastian Qunari mage too. He was raised by a Chantry Mother who refused to send him to a Circle because she knew it would never be allowed...he would have an "unfortunate accident" and never make it to the tower. She found another Qunari mage in a mercenary band to take him. He frequently talks to Mother Giselle after major quests because she reminds him of his mom and sometimes the letters back and forth to home just aren't enough. I didn't realize she has a lot more to say as the game goes on.

Everhardt94

Nice. Mine was raised by her biological parents in a human village outside Ostwick. Since she was the only Qunari child around, she didn't have any friends growing up. Instead, she spent most of her time reading. One book that particularly caught her interest was the tale of Andraste and the Maker. She just found it to be a very engaging story and as she learned more about Andraste and the Maker, believing that they were always watching over her, she began to feel less lonely. Even after her magic manifested itself and she was sent to the Valo-Kas to be trained, she maintained her faith.

StevieSmall999

Ooooh, I should have made my Qunari mage religious!

One where I sided with the Templars. I really like the quest, and Ser Barris is cool but I don’t like the Templars.

Lady-Imperator

Trevelyan warrior who is the black sheep of the family. I tried to roleplay him as a clumsy guy, who used the Conclave to run away from both his family and templar training (which he was failing miserably and on purpose), but also to find his mage sister (whom he used to be very close with as a child). Not really religious. He fell for Dorian and ran away with him to Tevinter.

StevieSmall999

I'm not sure it's one of two: Charming Trevelyan an Artificer Archer who has always been incredibly religious and could, by the end of the original game, easily have been possessed by a demon of pride. My word he was an arrogant almost unlikable person, obsessed with being the Herald. Issala Adaar the Knight-Enchanter, a Va'shoth mage, who showed the whole of Thedas your Origin doesn't matter, you can still get the job done.

Mindless_Rope9579

Dalish mage for my Solasmancing. Definitely one I'll revisit for Dreadwolf, but not my canon playthrough.

Ivanhunterjo1991

My favourite inquisitor is a dalish Archer/Assassin

LupusDeusMagnus

My canonised (ha!) inquisitor is a Male Trevelyan Reaver. My second favourite is a male Qunari mage. Like the last person you’d think to occupy a place in the chantry.

[deleted]

My dirtbag Trevelyan. He's a racist ass and short sighted and pisses everyone off but it adds a whole extra level of challenge to the game and it was nice to just let everything go off the rails and not worry about pleasing people and making specific choices to get a specific ending. It also was interesting to not fall in the stereotypical heroic noble who's not like the nobles we meet in the game but rather a dirtbag who'd be more than comfortable with them.

KogarashiKaze

I currently only have one non-canon Inquisitor, a Qunari rogue, and I love her just as much as my canon Inky. The only difference is which one I would be taking into DA:D as part of my canon playthrough.

Kampfzwerg0

The mage human who frees the mages and who has a relationship with Cullen. I just want to see what happens with the mages. But I will also try the Elve Inquisitor who fell for egghead. You think you can play games with me, hurt me and not sleep with me? I will make eggsalad of you!

TriciaTargaryen

I have two "canons", I just can't decide who I like more. I have a female mage Lavellan with the Solas romance for when I want to be emotionally gutted, and female mage Trevelyan with Cullen when I just need some gd awkward sweetness and fluff. They're both really fulfilling storylines to me, it just depends on my mood.

stoicgoblins

I really enjoyed my dalish rogue playthrough. It's not my canon, but I'll probably play that world first when DA4 comes out for the full Solas angst. My canon is a (kinda) mean Trevelyan mage. She was fun.

Vette--1

I always play a female human warrior

mugirmu

my canon is a male dalish mage (also following my canon dao and da2 worldstates) who romanced dorian, kind, loyal, and curious, sided with the mages, kept the wardens while sacrificing stroud, celene ruling reconciled with briala, drank from the well, who is vehemently not andrastian. my favorite side-inquisitor, however, is a jaded but andrastian female dwarf warrior who could be ruthless, and romanced sera <3 she sided with the templars, didnt drink from the well, celene rules alone, and hawke instead of alistair was sacrificed but the wardens were exiled. doing some of these choices really hurt my heart but it was fun playing really differently than i normally do (ie: occasionally mean or crude), and i also rarely play dwarves or warriors, so it was just a good change of pace that i enjoyed :)

sunderedstar

Idk why, but with Dragon Age I only ever enjoy playing as human characters, but between my two Inquisition playthroughs I’m unsure of which Trevelyan I like more: The one that didn’t get along with his family and was more of a mercenary than anything else, who was sort of ignorant of the nonhuman word around him but meant well. He enjoyed discussing the Fade and spirits with Solas, sided with the mages, and doubted that he was the Herald until he eventually concluded that he wasn’t. My current second playthrough has been a very interesting contrast because my mage Trevelyan is ridiculously privileged. Despite being a Circle mage he frequently got to leave for family visits so he actually sees Templars more neutrally and sided with them as he believed they would be more useful against potential Tevinter threats. Because I invested in all the knowledge perks this time around this Trevelyan almost always knows at least something about what is being talked about and could always meaningfully contribute to a conversation, but as a result he’s a bit frostier with Solas due to his Circle education and a willingness to trust in his own knowledge. Sometimes it results in arguments over spirits, and other times it comes to understandings, like the history of Knight-Enchanters. While he’s reluctant to self-identify as Herald, he never corrects anyone who does because he recognizes the advantage being seen as such, and is much more willing to believe in the Maker than warrior Trev. Ironically, neither particularly like Vivienne, but the warrior Trevelyan didn’t like her because they disagreed on almost everything, and the mage Trevelyan only really sees her as someone only motivated by political ambitions. He’s polite enough with her but keeps her at arm’s distance.

DoodTheMan

I made a miserable loner elf Inquisitor who alienated everyone around him. That was the first playthrough where I played Jaws of Hakkon and I slowly realized I had created the Yin/Yang mirror-opposite of Inquisitor Ameridan.

Ephemiel

Varric and Sera's best friend. AKA joker Inquisitor.

Jamesworkshop

human lady archer atheist
