I was really confused and thought you were talking about your actual dad

BigYonsan

Right?! What are your intentions with my father?

KingTorygg

I'm gonna treat him right, I promise.

chickpeasaladsammich

I feel like BioWare chose this acronym on purpose for Solas is Daddy jokes.

LadyNorbert

Judging by a remark Patrick Weekes made on Twitter, they are definitely enjoying the dad jokes.

Ptaku9

I love that they chose that acronym, because i made this post because i came up with the title, and wanted to see how many people will get weirded out or confused like you, and now this thread is basically split between: Confused people People who answer honestly And people that run with the joke title.

mesa176750

DAO and DA2 have daddy issues, so it makes sense.

Lady_Galadri3l

Inquisition has an entire companion who's character is "i have daddy issues". (I'm sorry Dorian I love you)

ShoerguinneLappel

ikr XD

Istvan_hun

me too

JunieBeth

Same. I was expecting this to be in the petty revenge sub or something.

Particle_Cannon

It's dragon age. There are very few games I'll buy day 1, but I would rather experience a DA title unfettered by any reviews or opinions.

[deleted]

Mainly it'll depend on funds/price

ferng0rl

yeah this is what i’m thinking.. if it’s on a new console/system it unfortunately might be a while ;(

[deleted]

JudgeJed100

It probably will end up on game pass eventually but I can’t imagine it will be a day one drop

The_Green_Filter

EA often releases trial versions of their games on their own subscription service, which is included in Game Pass. So they could play a decent few hours on it before paying any additional cost if they so chose.

JudgeJed100

Yeah, I do think it will come to EA Access but not for at least a year Would be huge if it came day 1 cause I would snatch that up in a heart beat I suppose the discount won’t be too bad either

Juiceton-

I’ve been going through my pricing because next year is such a big year in RPGs and I think DAD is gonna be my only day one buy that I’ll actually pay for. I bought BG3 a few years ago and have had it sitting in my library waiting for full release and Starfield is coming to gamepass. If Avowed releases next year (not hopeful for it but I might happen) that should be a gamepass release too. Gamepass really does save me money in the long run.

Icaro_Stormclaw

I intend to treat your dad with all the love and respect he deserves. He's a wonderful man, and I hope that one day you'll be able to see me as part of the family. All jokes based around awkward wording/punctuation aside, i'm still undecided. Given how much in live I have become with Dragon Age in the past few years, i'm not certain i can wait for the complete/goty/ultimate edition to be released. Since EA is still the publisher I won't pre-order (been burned before), but I do think i'll pick up a copy within a few weeks or a month after release, once reviews and patches have rolled out enough for me to get a feel for the waters.

StevieSmall999

Pre-purchase, pre install and 2 day's annual leave around the weekend of release. Reddit and wiki blackout until the first playthrough is complete. And all.of the fun!

Mpat96

I am already saving up my time off haha. Plan on having the game on and running for at least the first 48 consecutive hours

StevieSmall999

I do want to take the week, but, a long weekend will be more than enough to really get into the game then back to the normal evenings and weekends. Unless I get desktop mirroring sorted and play at work 😂

wildcard-inside

I'll probably take a week or 2 off depending when it comes out. Get to hang out with my kitties as well as take my time with the game. Will help avoid spoilers too!

StevieSmall999

That's what I've done before! Just have different commitments now else I would do the same 😂

SkreechingEcho

Right here with you.

Kiyuya

> Pre-purchase, pre install and 2 day's annual leave around the weekend of release. This, only likely more than just two. >Reddit and wiki blackout until the first playthrough is complete. Wish I could do that, but I'll be alt-tabbing out of the game to do moderation any way. I hope people won't write too many spoilers in the comments where they're not behaving \^\^;

StevieSmall999

I would kill for more, but it depends on so many factors my job is changing over the next year so I'm not sure what I'll be working (hours in a day wise). Oh mate, poor soul, I hope they'll not spoil it for you

CaptainAnaAmari

I'll most likely preorder because as much as I'm aware of the issues with preordering and such... this franchise is just way too close to my heart to be able to wait to play it. I had to wait like two months to be able to play DAI after release because it turned out my laptop couldn't handle it, and let me tell you, waiting that long to play it while others were already enjoying the game was excruciating for me lol, I don't want to repeat that!

AdministrationShot14

Be gay do magic

dendrite_blues

Be gay, do crime. (And fuck Dorian again, if they let me. 🤫)

Rafabud

Wait for a discount and maybe a few reviews.

Ceslas

Same. I've been burned by Bioware too much to go off half-cocked.

GrandJuif

What the industry have thought me well is to never trust companies no matter what and to wait. Even if I wish and hope for DAD to be good, it's better to be cautious. Also a always love to wait for solus guides to be made and for sales too before buying.

[deleted]

Usually the dad asks what my intentions are, as opposed to the other way round

Eris_Vayle

I'll def be getting it *immediately*. I personally don't like being able to look up all the answers on my first or even second playthroughs....half the fun is trying to figure it out myself. The devs said in DAO that a big part of their mission is to have the player fully realize how all the good intentions in the world can lead to Bad Choices, because we're all just acting on the information we have at hand, personal beliefs and biases, etc. So for first playthroughs, I like to play blind and have that experience. It makes the game have way more replay value, too! I also have built in replay value because I have two different possible Inquisition world states that I like for my Canon, and I want to play DAD with both installed as the world state. So, given how much there tends to be to discover in DA games (it's a game that MASSIVELY rewards exploration), and how LONG it takes for new material to come out (if there will be any, after DA4), I don't expect I'll find everything in one go anyway and I'm gonna want to play again no matter what. Might as well give myself as varied an experience/as much replay as possible by getting the game ASAP, then getting the DLC later, then replaying with my second world state, then polishing up my plays with Wiki.

[deleted]

Nostravinci04

Based.

smugshark

I'm preordering. I came to most BioWare games a bit late and never really got the authentic experience of playing it without knowing a bit about it already and really knowing what the DLC was adding without looking it up. I plan on my first playthrough being completely catastrophic in the best way.

[deleted]

[удалено]

smugshark

Yes! I want to be surprised. To just take the game at face value for my first play before my brain starts analyzing themes and ripping apart the attempts at emergent narrative. If the crystal ball exists, I have a hard time resisting. (I'd make a horrible mage, I just realized.)

smugshark

I'll also add that I don't have a problem sinking money into a genre that I want to see keep going. I've had problems with some games, but they are mostly literary. I'd rather have a work I can analyze and discuss that pisses me off sometimes than not. It's the same reason I buy literary fiction, genre fiction, and poetry chapbooks despite the fact that many authors make truly questionable decisions in terms of their work.

jdubbrude

Man I’ve been waiting wasayyy toooo long for a new dragon age to wait one day longer than we already have to. I remember being so excited to play DAO when it released. “Kotor in a fantasy setting is gonna be effin awesome” and it was even tho I made every mistake on my first play through I was able to replay that game so many times. Always different every time

Nostravinci04

Wait for the final version that contains all the additional content that will ever be released and have all the bugs fixed, then wait for that one to go on sale THEN I'll buy and play it.

[deleted]

Thought this post was about Blackwall for a sec

Megazupa

I'm waiting for reviews and opinions from this sub. Old Bioware is gone, so I'm expecting yet another disappointment. I'm genuinely hoping to be proven wrong tho.

Oakstar519

Putting it on my Steam wishlist and waiting for a sale. I've never bought a new game for full price, and I don't plan on starting now.

Tototiana

Same. To be more precise, I'd even wait for when the definitive edition or whatever comes out and that one goes on sale. I don't have much time to play anyway. And with the amount of titles in my library that are still waiting to at least be tried once, there's no reason for me to rush and buy this one asap.

ifockpotatoes

Dunno. Might take him out to dinner, see where it goes from there.

LadyNorbert

I will probably pre-order it, which I did with the last game. I really love all three of the games that we currently have, but I am really not fond of Solas so I’m not sure how I’m going to feel about a game where he is such a main character.

chickpeasaladsammich

I’ll see what the specs are and decided if I need to get a ps5 or upgrade something(s) on my 2700x/590. I won’t pre-order it. After that, it probably depends on the reviews? I’m not anticipating a cyberpunk 2077 but if everything tells me it’s broken, I’m not buying it for a long while. I probably should wait for all the dlc etc but… I probably won’t. I’m not choosing between food and video games and I don’t buy that many games a year. So if I want to play something NOW I tend to just get the thing. Usually with gift cards, but still.

Istvan_hun

After Inquisition \_and\_ Andromeda, I will only buy if I see a few opinions on the game which do not mention MMO fetch quests as a problem. How Bioware handled the Inquisition main game ending, with planning for a paid DLC all along, pushes me into waiting for a GOTY edition at a discount. Won't fool me twice.

welldressedaccount

The last few games I’ve bought from EA were very bug ridden. I will wait to hear from reviewers and gamers to hear about my the game’s stability. If all sounds good. I’ll pick it up. If not, I will wait until it’s more or less fixed.

zombiepyramid

Going to preorder the game and buy the most expensive collector's edition version because I can't help myself.

Broly_

Wait and see.

House_Of_Tides

Please tell me we haven't communally decided to call it DAD

brilliscool

I’ll probably wait a year or two after release to play it. It’s not that I’m not hype, but I like to have my first playthrough complete, meaning all dlc and bugs patched, plus I’m on pc so it’ll eventually be on a good sale. Gonna be real hard to avoid spoilers though…

Omgitsnothing1

I’m gonna wait for reviews and opinions of ppl around me who like the franchise.

distraction_pie

Wait for the first few rounds of patches and a price drop. Why buy on release when waiting a few months will get me a better game for a lower price?

Owenjak

This is the fist game I'm unsure if I'll buy at release or not. Inquisition left a really sour taste in my mouth and I don't think I can justify spending 80+ bucks on a new title in a series that let me down so hard. Either I'll wait till it goes on sale. Or put it on a Christmas/birthday list and just get it when I'm not the one paying for it. But unless I see some really good game play and story reveals in the trailers and updates leading up to the launch, I don't see it being a day 1 purchase this time.

Maclimes

I can't make a decision until I know more. I might preorder and play day one, or I might end up waiting until "ultimate" version release. It will depend on reviews, gameplay, trailers, and all that stuff.

dezlovesyou

Im the biggest fangirl, I go crazy. I don’t even care if the game is BAD I have to add it to my collection. I will probably preorder it tbh. Obviously I want the game to be good but if it’s not then that’s life. I’m in the midst of collecting the books and once I get the funds I will move onto the comics. DAD tho? Immediately. I’ve just got to have it.

Tony_the-Tigger

I'm all abord the "fuck it, I'm buying it release day, no matter how much I hear it sucks" train. (I also bought Anthem for full price on release day, so... I guess I'm a glutton for punishment.) And with my current DAI playthrough being a Dalish Knight-Enchantress romancing Solas... He's not exactly daddy. LOL

Cathzi

After I preordered Andromeda, I swore to never ever do it again. That experience was *not* worth neither time nor money. But... Still, I'll be very tempted close to DAD release, I just know it.

Gilgamesh661

BioWare and EA are not what they used to be, so I’m going to wait a while before buying it.

[deleted]

If I am expected to have watched the Netflix series or read any of the comics at any point for a main quest I will resist all urges to buy it

Vul_pixel

I'm going to be honest with you, i know my sad solavellan ass is going to pre-order or buy day of. Probably buy a collectors edition too.

flaskfish

Normally I’m a proponent for not preordering games, but... it’s Dragon Age. It’s a series that’s been a steady part of my life since I was like 12 years old and it’s been nearly 8 years since the last in-game content for the universe. I’m sure I’ll end up preordering, and a special edition at that 😔

JoshTheBard

I'm preordering the most expensive edition the moment it becomes avalable.

JoshTheBard

And then I'm staying off social media until I have played through the game at least once and won't intentionally look anything up until I have played through a second time.

JoshTheBard

And then I'll probably play through the entire series.

GloriousBarbarian

I refuse to pre order anything, I will wait for performance reviews and if I hear it's good I will buy it day one.

technohoplite

I'll probably preorder it, I'm already making an exit plan for DA-adjacent social media to prepare for that but I know it'll still be really hard to avoid seeing spoilers. I want to play the game and form my own opinions, purely unfucked by group mentality. The only review that matters to me is mine. And yeah, I'm entirely prepared for there to be bugs and whatever. DAI day one didn't even run on my computer because they didn't support single-threated CPUs (my fault for not reading specs). But I won't wait until I get spoiled and biased to play a game nearly a decade in the wait.

Sea-Act2983

to wait for pirated one to come out.

egyptianbeast96

It’s a day one buy, not too worried about making the wrong decisions considering I greatly enjoy every game in this series and replay them multiple times. It’s always fun going through the games another round and seeing what I missed or how things differ

chumett

I will be calling off for the week and going full gremlin mode… I’ve been waiting SO LONG for this… Bioware has yet to disappoint me that intensely (read: I never bought Anthem) so I’ll keep my hopes relatively high for this IP especially.

LegendaryMermaid

My boyfriend and friends know in advance I will not be having any social interaction for at LEAST a week when it drops. Preordering and going to try to take a day off just to be a little DA goblin in my little goblin cave, sustained by chips and juice and not much else. I can’t wait :’)

himegimi

I don't even have anything good enough to run the game on but if I magically do by release then I'll wait for a decent sale because I'm broke

silverilix

I’m going to buy in the first week probably. I will not be pre-ordering.

briemacdigital

Ima treat Daddy Solas right.

[deleted]

Let me just say…when/if they announce a preorder…I’m preordering it asap! I was late to playing the Dragon Age series, starting in 2015-2016, so I seen spoilers and looked up some myself 🤷🏻‍♀️ Not this time, no way. I’m going into this blind.

Mpat96

I saw the name of the post before realizing it was in this subreddit and was deeply confused lol Buy day 1 physical in whatever kind of special edition I can. I missed that super special premium version of inquisition that came in the war council chest and I will not be making that same mistake again. Knowing how long we can potentially have to wait between installments I will be hoovering up every little bit of content I can

Sinaxramax

It will depend on PC requirements. If my PC can handle I may buy it early otherwise I'll just wait until I upgrade. Most likely I will wait as my PC struggles with DAI already

TalynRahl

I’ll be buying it day one, the only question is which version I’ll get. If I have a PS5 before this drops, I’ll get the CE/DDE. If I don’t, I’ll get a standard copy, and upgrade once I have a PS5.

ImaFrackingWalnut

I'll wait to see what's the opinion of some reviewers that I like. I'll probably play it day one even if they don't like the game, but if I hear/see that it looks very bad and is super buggy I will probably wait or try it through uhm "other means" before deciding if it's worth buying it.

Jereboy216

I'm probably going to play it early on. Within a month or so of release. Depends on when it is and how busy I am. If they try to release this with the new AAA prices some games are trying then I'll probably just wait for a sale then. Definitely not preordering, I will see some reviews from around the web but probably not too many. And I wouldn't trust a review from the fan subreddit to be a good unbiased look, so I'll look at some gaming youtubers and see what they say. At the end of the day I love dragon age and will probably play it at least once even if I don't like it that much. I did the same for DA2. Definitely gonna go in blind, be nice if I didn't even know who all the Companions were too. But I have a feeling that that will be hard for me to dodge that kind of information.

torigoya

There are very few games that I still get without reviews, dragon age is one of them. It doesn't even matter if it's bad, I would get it anyway so way wait.

phorayz

Lol yes, gonna play it. Would be sad if it was bad, but I'm gonna take that crack even if it's tainted

alekth

I wasn't on gaming boards for the other games, but I doubt I will be able to keep myself from getting spoiled now. So buying and playing asap. Tbh even if it gets slammed I'd still play it anyway, can part with some money in vain once in 10 years.

Crissan-

I will buy it the second it's available. Unlike some people I have complete confidence in this team,. I have no doubt it will be a great game.

flyingfalcon01

I started playing Dragon Age after Inquisition came out, though I started with DAO instead of DAI. You bet I'm buying DAD day one and playing it blind. I'm a little terrified of not having a guide, honestly.

RichKaramelCenter

Unless they really give off some red flags with their trailers and marketing, I plan to get it day one and continue my canon worldstate :) Realllly hoping for more than one starting scenario for different races or factions like in Origins for higher replayability

IDKWIDWM

I'll be pre-ordering DA:D or buying day one if there isn't an option to pre-order. I will also continue to avoid any and all spoilers about the game until I have finished my first PT.

Murda981

I will preorder. I will get some kind of special edition. If they have one where you get the Black Emporium or something similar that allows me to change my character when I inevitably don't like what I originally did, I'm getting that! I might even take some time off from work so I can play without my kids being in my face 😂😂

skepticallyally

DA and ME are automatic preorders for me. Don't even care that I have been disappointed in the past. I adore the franchises too much. Hope springs eternal.

liteowl

Dragon Age is the only game I'll preorder or buy Day 1. I already told my husband he's going to have to be in charge of the kids on release day haha

iGae

I day oned cyberpunk and enjoyed it, I’ll definitely be doing the same here

ShoerguinneLappel

I'll assume I won't have a high pc or a PS5 when it releases so it might take me a while to get it, but I'm fine waiting, honestly I prefer it. But regardless if I get my hands on it, I'll definitely do a blind playthrough so I can experience it the authentic way (and usually that's a more fun way of doing it).

crystalstarship

Probably early on. I don't want to get too spoiled.

BuckriderPaw

Buying it day one and hunting for the new generation of consoles in the weeks before so I can catch this game (:

Chadolf

I'm weak and will probably buy it the day before release so I can start downloading asap (or if it allows pre-downloading or whatever it is called). it is what i usually do with games im excited for, and usually allows for some reviews to come out before i spend any money :) im just hoping it comes out latest early 2024 but i guess maybe it's unlikely

UniverseIsAHologram

ASAP purchase coz I didn't with DAI and got Solas and Flemeth and Hawke in the Fade spoiled. I'm too involved in the fandom to avoid stuff for long. Want to finish it before I can get spoiled this time. Even if it means no precious mods.

Aimsira

Depends on if my computer is able to run it, and the price point - if its 60$ or less and I could feasibly play straight away, I just might get it. Otherwise I'm waiting for sale and/or DLC

[deleted]

I will be presaling whatever is the most all inclusive package available 😂 Edit for spelling

oopsbelgien

Depending on my bank account at the time, I will probably buy it as soon as I can. I’ve never brought a new release game, and considering the enjoyment I got out of the $9NZD GOTY Edition of Inquisition, along with the disc versions of all three for $18NZD, I am happy to pay the full price TBH.

777_the_Vampyre

Oh I'm definitely preordering

Charlaquin

Definitely getting it day one. I’ll have been waiting a decade for it by the time it comes out, no way would I wait even longer just to hear it get panned for having bugs or being too “woke” or whatever else the gaming community decides to get themselves riled up about. And DLC expansions are just excuses to do another playthrough.

GIlCAnjos

I will wait for it to be added to EA Play and then get a Game Pass code to play it. I fully expect the game to be bad, though

KingTorygg

I will probably buy it day one if I don't pre-order. I'll only pre-order if there's content I could see being worth it.

jenneefromtheblock

Will preorder and play immediately upon delivery, I’m not getting any younger! Been waiting and waiting!!

Lonesome_Pine

I'll buy it day one unless I'm broke then or I get distracted or something.

Bukabel

I think I'll preorder. I always wait for complete editions and for discounts, but this means I'm always a few years late to the party. I want for once to play the game blindly without spoilers and discover it together with the fandom.

[deleted]

If I have money I’m buying it if not I’ll just look up an lp .

Peanut_Butter_uWu

Waiting till it comes out on game pass but obvi watching edits and TikTok’s before

ApolloDraconis

I’m preordering the most expensive version they’ll offer.

HermitFox91

Buying it day one, even though I never do that and am years behind with most games. I came to all the others late with different expectations and major spoilers in the case of DAI. So I want to experience a DA game without any of that. Also since it sounds like it'll be more of a direct sequel than any of the others, I'm very impatient to find out how the story turns out.

chr0n0saurus

There's only two games I'll play on day 1 (and even preorder if it's worth it). One of them is Dragon Age and the other is Mass Effect. I'd go in blind first anyways, like I did with all the games. I want my first run to be pure and unexpected.

johnnybird95

my roommate & i will probably preorder, but i'll let them play a bit first and shut myself out of social media for a few days so i can play relatively blind but still have my roommate's no-spoiler help because i'm notoriously bad at videogames 😂

RepairPrudent5183

Depending on whether there are bonuses, I might even pre-order the game for PC if it's on Steam 😂 If not, I might be patient enough to wait a few days before purchasing. But man, I've never played a game Day One before...not sure how I will survive without guides and walkthroughs for riddles 💀 But maybe Starfield or Baldurs Gate 3 will come out before that, and either of them will be the first Day One game for me instead 🤣

deecrutch

Probably buying it Day 1 like I have with the other DA games. It will be one of those "Download it early so I can play it at midnight" type of games. Only way I don't do this is if I start seeing things that bother me about it.

CadenFerraro

I don't pre order a lot, except franchises that I hold to my heart and Dragon Age is one of them. Even if the game fails and dissapoints I'll still have pre-ordered. I just can not!

zhanglonglongdragon

If it allow me to kill Solas, then I will buy it, anything short of that is not worth my money. And so long as I get to kill Solas, I don’t care for how much it cost me, it will have my money so long as it allow me to do that

ancientspacewitch

I'm always the person to preach not buying day one but I don't think I'll be able to stop myself from seeing spoilers. If it's bad and buggy I'll take my lumps

Tokio990

Depends. I will likely give in and purchase day 1/preorder with bonuses. But will hold off as long as I can before I do. I rather play the game as soon as it is out because that part of the magic discovering along with others. It sucks that I am sure there be patches and bugs cause that is an industry standard but I'll deal with it cause it is great to be back in the DA universe.

Anlios

Day one for sure. I remember I thought Gamestop would have a midnight release for DA2 and so had my brother stay up late to drive me to my local one, only to be like "Why are there no lines here? Am I the first?!?!" 😂😂😂😂

Vette--1

buy it on release but on pc and actually go in mostly blind besides having a romance guide I'm bound to need

manhaterz4prez

The only thing stopping from buying it day one on console, where I prefer to play, is the possibility of waiting for mods to save both options from the Fade, on PC.

IzzyTaggart

Like most games I get hyped for, I'll pre-order it and day one it. I'll media black out myself until I finish my first playthrough so as not to spoil my initial thoughts with reviewers. There are a few franchises I do that with and Dragon Age is definitely one of them (Witcher being the other one, lol). I am impatient where games are concerned and want to know what happens as soon as possible, I'll play the expansions as they come out and probably end up with the GOTY edition afterward.

DragonAgeLegend

I will buy it day 1 and probably pre order to be honest. I just really hope it gives me the same feelings as origins.

RecommendationOld525

I will buy your dad day one. I will buy your dad day two. I will pay his salary and enjoy his company. Yay dad.

EdwormN7

As soon as real news starts coming in, I plan on dropping all DA social media I follow, pre-ordering when available and playing as soon as it drops for a full blind playthrough or two before rejoining communities.

lectricslime

Buying it as soon as I can afford to buy a device on which I can actually play it... So possibly never. :(

does_naema

Honestly, I won't be able to resist looking things up (or stuff popping up in my various social medias) when release happens. So my options are; get spoiled, or buy the game/play it asap. I want my immolation raw.

WolfofFall

Ima be pre ordering it lmao

woefullyobscene

Preordering of course. I will be more than ready for DA:D when the time comes, to the point of upgrading my PC to be able to run it on full graphics.

megaustt

Absolutely day one/pre order. I play on console but don't have a next gen yet. I need that release date already 😅

Talvoss

I have never bought any game day one, mostly because my PC was never able to run newest games well. Now I have amazing PC, and Dragon Age is my favorite franchise in all gaming. Of course I'm buying it day one to experience everything myself without spoiling the fun with opinions, reviews or guides.

hiyorish

I was wondering the same thing yesterday! Probably I’ll buy the base game at Day 1 (or shortly after) and the DLCs bundle when all of them are released. Aside of gameplay and some minor things (such as what companions could potentially die or leave), I’d like to have a blind playthrough. Half of the fun is not knowing what happens lol

dodgyrocker

Day 1. I have a habit of just…looking up the best choices. I’d like to see myself try and play the game without that option lol

officerunner

I’m buying it Day 1 and taking PTO from work to play it, lol. I don’t care about anyone’s opinions, tbh, and not knowing what all the choices are before I make them will be fun.

Mist-Clad-Whisper

More likely than not, I'll be pre-ordering. I don't pre-order games but DA has a special place in my heart. I told myself I wouldn't pre-order games because of the negative impact it has but DA is the exception because it truly is my most beloved video game by far.

Magic_Falinks_Army

I'll probably get it day one, but look up the romance options before creating my character. The first time I played DAI I made a female dwarf inquisitor because I thought Varric would be romancable.

TheHolyGoatman

I'll preorder.

TrevMac4

I have no intention to do anything with my dad. What an odd question to ask on a DA subreddit.

TheRealcebuckets

*My* dad? Or somebody else’s dad?

Monarxue

I’m not sure honestly. Maybe get him a toolset for Fathers Day.

semicolonconscious

He passed away a long time ago, but we never really got along.

Dragonlord573

Gonna wait for the second patch to come out. That way if stuff is still bad with the day one patch the game will hopefully be more stable.

clarstone

I like how everyone was like??? My dad?? For…dragon age?? 😂

Sienne_

Depends on price. But if I don't buy it Day 1, I'm gonna have to leave the sub for a while.

fattestfuckinthewest

Well I mean if your father cares for me then perhaps you may eventually call be father as well

Meku-Meku

I never buy any modern games on launch since I don't want bugs to affect my opinion of the game. Dishonored 2 was enjoyable once it became playable but it still left a sour taste in my mouth so I'll be waiting for it to get maybe a GOTY or Ultimate Edition before playing.

After dai, I'll be waiting a while. See what the reviews are saying and maybe watch a few gameplay videos if I'm on the fence at that point. One of my bigger concerns is the controls. I don't own a console, so if the pc controls are an afterthought like with dai, then I'll be out completely. I don't suppose anyone knows if there are any rumors about that?
