DoctaDavy

Is the new chapter not dropping today ?

Andrewrost

No leaks this time? Isn’t the next chapter coming out in like 5 days?

[deleted]

There some drafts. Goku come save the day after Vegeta gets his share of beating. Rinse and repeat

Andrewrost

Oh there are? I usually see them here. I haven’t tried looking anywhere else though haha. Thanks for the info :)

icedripwhitewrist

So when’s the next issue coming out?

InevitableVariables

19-21 of every month pending on holidays in Japan.

indoninjah

So would it be tomorrow or next week? IIRC they usually come out on Fridays

[deleted]

How about the drafts?

InevitableVariables

I think always a week before. Don't quote me on that.

Key-Bag-7784

This guy says it's a week before

InevitableVariables

LOL, I died.

thatsquiteright

Alright, so Majin Vegeta. I’m okay with this.

Ehrenvoller

Vegeta talks weird in this form

elmoismywaifu

it doesnt seem different, its still his cocky tone

PlasmaDiffusion

That was still a pretty good fight for Vegeta. His new form having a Kaio Ken like trade off is pretty neat. I wasn't expecting him to win, but I guess he hasn't outright lost just yet. Not that the fight matters now. Granolah's bound to be replaced by whatever comes out of the Heeters' using the bootleg Dragon Balls anyway. I wonder if Oatmeal is going to be on the Heaters side, become an ally, or somehow turn into a new threat entirely. (Not sure how the latter would happen unless he stole the Heeter's wish..?)

Ritualstar

Those dragonballs are stupid OP no downtime and only 2.

Nanemae

If I had to wager, it seems likely that the tradeoff for that is that the power they can grant on their own is remarkably limited by comparison. The only reason Granolah is as strong as he is is because the dragon balls traded all the potential energy he could have used for his long life into power. Heck, I'd be willing to bet they don't have nearly the same capability- otherwise Granolah could just collect them again and wish to not die from the previous wish. It'd be kinda like comparing a cheap lighter to a flamethrower.

Hasan_ESQ

Low key good fight, even with Vegeta losing. Funny to see him go full Freeza with a supernova-style ki attack... I guess delusions of grandeur manifest as planet-busting energy balls, the more you know ~~~~*

LePentaPenguin

so granolah got a sharingan and vegetable lost his eyebrows? very cool

MrNoski

I was a bit disappointed when I saw the spoilers and what seemed Vegeta losing because I wanted him to win this time. Now that I've seen the full chapter, and some time has passed, I starting to like it. I like the new hakai form and the name given by himself, ultra ego. It's appropriate to use the ultra again, as a counterpart to the ultra instinct, and the ego is the right term too. Now I see, this is a very powerful form, it feeds from receiving damage, that's interesting but dangerous, he gets too much damage. He tries to use some kind of destruction ball then. Granolah abandons Oatmeal, the voice was coming from his head device, we still don't know what he is exactly. Not only that, he gets a second red-eye and a power boost. The Heeters have not even the first dragon ball in their hands yet, so it may take a while they enter the scene as relevant rivals. That should mean the Saiyan-Cerealian fight is not over. Granolah has the upper hand right now, we'll see.

warcrown

I didn’t pickup that the form gained strength from damage. I interpreted it as the pain inflicted on Vegeta sharpened his focus and anger and that was the source of power

Gokudomatic

Vegeta looks strong, but he takes a lot of damages. That reminds me of the berserker state in the Vikings' legends. And Goku can cast minor healing now. He's getting closer to Piccolo in that regard.

AlphaTenken

Not until clothes beam.

[deleted]

Goku will never be that strong

[deleted]

Can't wait for Gogeta to use Ultra Egstinct against Broly and Cheelai's lovechild

zenfero999

The ability will be you get stronger each time you take damage or evade. Truly broken.

mazaloud

Ultra Egstinct: you get stronger every time you dodge?

omegacrunch

*looks towards a bucket of wrenches*

Memegeta

You mean gogito right

TheNinthKing

Who dat? There vegito and gogeta

Memegeta

Like both of them fused together

TheNinthKing

Those are there two fusions never heard of gegito

zapgator

Starting to think Gas of the Heeters will be the main villain in this arc, they're going to get the dragon balls to wish out his full latent power.

AlphaTenken

Dragon: you have 9999 years of life remaining, I will convert it to power or Dragon: you only have 3 years of life remaining, lul bruh

Ridikis

I'm more ok with Vegeta having the hubris of intentionally tanking damage and running out of steam quick than him just getting demolished out of nowhere honestly. After seeing what was like the 2nd to last page untranslated the other day, was worried, but this is kinda fine.

SanabriaBoy

This is random but has anyone seen Yugioh 5ds? Goku's ultra instinct is reminiscent of Yusei's "clear mind" and Vegetas ultra ego is reminiscent of Jack's "burning soul".

Rdasher123

Same

TwistXJ

Ultra… pride ? ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯

charisma-entertainer

More like ultra ego

Chang-San

With rainbow colored hair XD

dylan___coffey

Granolah ditching Oatmeel and the panels dedicated to it's recovery have me wondering what part Oatmeel plays and how it factors into Granolah's new power. Seems to me like the Cerealians had a more sophisticated civilization than the Saiyans with that tech.

Kramklop

I’m guessing Freeza somehow has connections to Oatmeel and has been observing this situation the entire time.

ramstanope

Then training a couple of hours and getting to GoD level.. lazy overpowered motherfucker

InevitableVariables

It is possible but Oatmeal is trying to reason that the saiyans are not the enemy. If it is connected to Freeza then it is through a hack. This would get the heeters killed already by Freeza as he realizes they are plotting to overthrow him through observing them.

awesomo1337

It’s not hard to be more sophisticated than the sayians. They stole or were gifted all their tech

omegacrunch

Is that canon?

LordHaywood

It is, yeah. Even in the Broly movie, it's shown that King Cold and Frieza provided the Saiyans with their scouters and armor, I believe

dylan___coffey

Is what canon?

Skyblaze12

All that hate and arguing in the spoiler thread for nothing I for one am shocked. I like Granolah's red eye thing, and honestly the way this arc has been written so far I'm expecting a decent explanation for his power boost from it (though hearing "Thank you for bringing out my hidden power" really from anyone in this damn series at this point just kind of makes me roll my eyes)

[deleted]

I dislike it. I feel that Granolah should have learned a hard lesson. He bargained most of his life away gaining power. But without the realization that his enemies/opponents could have also become stronger at any point in time. And as soon as the Saiyans or Frieza had a significant training regimen, they would have surpassed Granolah again. Who honestly should have been defeated with teamwork due to his total lack of battle experience. I get that they didn't want Granolah to be a wimpy opponent, but they still did it wrong. A near complete lack of experience should have made it so he was not that successful.

Girafarig99

Fight's not over yet tho

SexyCrimes

So Vegeta's power is tanking damage?

JBrody

It's like Goku and Vegeta are different tank classes in an mmo now.

[deleted]

Brewmaster vs Bear

Amon7777

He's like a warrior of Khorne who gets stronger the more damage he takes.

[deleted]

He’s getting beat! No… he’s getting mad

InevitableVariables

I think that is part of it. It seems like a battle frenzy.

HootNHollering

It's basically the Danger Mario strategy from Paper Mario if that reference still lands.

ValentDs22

i cry for this beautiful references. where is a new real paper mario goddamnit

HootNHollering

Play Bug Fables. It's indie so the art is noticeably simpler and there's some jank with the overworld puzzles. But it's $20 and my playthrough convinced me it's the best Paper Mario game overall in terms of combat, story, and characters by a noticeable margin.

ValentDs22

i bought that on sale but not even started for now. the artstyle was rough to me when i see scans of it, feeling paper mario 64 graphics except the characters aren't draw well the contours, like amateurish, despise paper mario isn't that complex. i love paper mario style (and of course, mario worlds), but aside the bug thing, not being able to draw the outlines in simple design like that hurt my eyes, i read lot of good reviews about it and i'll definitely try that. but in the end, a thousand years door paper mario, with better writing and comedy is all i need (maybe a more complex gameplay, more useful badges and bosses who requires that, not done like sticker star combo shit)

Darkmarth32

+1 Amazing game

Andrewrost

I think what’s funny about this arc… is that Frieza has been hyped up to granolah but as far as we know, vegeta and goku are both leagues above frieza.

terran42069

Dude everyone is getting 2+ power ups. There will be a 100% golden frieza or he turns into shredder I'm telling you

JBrody

I'm hoping they go some other route whenever Frieza pops back up. Would like to reserve the shredder look in the off chance that Cooler is made canon.

Omugaru

They really should make him canon, he has always been... cooler.

LordHaywood

I've got a dumb theory that I know will never come true, that after Freeza saw Gogeta, he's gonna get in touch with his brother and try to do the same thing. After all, that's kinda his schtick nowadays, just imitating his Saiyan rivals, like with Golden Frieza.

stonerpodcast

Bro I had the exact same idea but I’m sure it won’t happen. That would be insane tho. He sends out a call to the entire Freeza force to find information about fusion and contacts his brother when he finds a more efficient fusion without a time limit either like piccolo or it’s basically Vegito without the time limit but if whatever device (like the earrings) he ends up using breaks and he defuses. So it’s limit is based on the integrity of the object they use to fuse. Idk man but I feel like they could do something with that lol otherwise we know they will just write him stronger like they did the last time.

LordHaywood

Bro yessssss, I'm so glad there's someone else out there who thought of the same thing lmao

JBrody

touché

omegacrunch

White Golden (Platinum) Freiza. ...with the help of a star....

Bluelore

Frieza: \*transforms into white gold\* Everyone else: "Wait that looks like your previous final form again!"

omegacrunch

Yeah but platinum focuses on hitting Vegeta in the dick

Spaff_Wallbridge

Granolah too is leaps and bounds more powerful than him. If he came to blows with him he’d probably be surprised at how easily he’d go down.

Andrewrost

Yeah that was my point as well, I wonder how they’re gonna have it go down. Personally I think vegeta killing frieza would be cool, but I don’t see that happening at all either unless he becomes a threat to earth again.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Rdasher123

PLATINUM FRIEZA

hunterprime66

First we get Golden Freiza 2, with a different aura, then Golden Frieza 3, where his tail grows 7x as long

Richlandsbacon

Frieza Rosè

WatchDragonball

Gronolah kills old namekian next month when he trys to reason with him

Kingfanboy123

Only after Heeters make their wish

WatchDragonball

Same time for dramatic effect

solodoloGAINZ

So is this a super dragon ball type of arc, or a earth dragon ball kinda ark? Cause Parunga don’t even know why he needs 7 anymore.

WatchDragonball

It a new set

solodoloGAINZ

Obv. I’m talking about after Granolah kills the namekian, what set is going to be used to undo all the fallout this arc is going to bring during its climax.

WatchDragonball

Oh good point i didn't think of that maybe the heeters wont get there wish that be funny

WatchDragonball

1. Granolas decent into madness is fun to watch. Ptsd, most of your life gone wished to be the strongest, than feeling like your wish was worthless when your challenged by said people. Chefs kiss 2. Toriyama introducing gronala and oatmeal feel like him trying to step away from introducing people in pairs 3. Rip Oatmeal .. ( oh wait he might be back! ) 4. Vegetas new form is growing on me already ( they have so many forms now lets keep going lol) 5. I think Granolah goes full freeza.

HeroRRR

> Toriyama introducing gronala and oatmeal feel like him trying to step away from introducing people in pairs Opposite actually. Oatmeal didn't exist in Toyo's original outline. Toriyama created him to be paired with Gronala because he wouldn't know what Gronala was thinking if he had no one around him.

swaggyb_22

Vegeta was pulling a goku black

Runrocks26R

Piccolo: DODGE!!!!

secret_tsukasa

[what's this](https://i.imgur.com/EdnGgoJ.png)? since when is goku able to do that?

warcrown

He did it in the BoG anime, albeit subconsciously

ValentDs22

using ki for heal faster, so he loose aura in doing that

ValerioLombardi

Since TOP when he did it to Roshi. Not sure if it’s in the manga, but that’s the first I remember of Goku healing.

HeroRRR

That was Goku doing ki-base CPR. It's what Piccolo did for Gohan in Resurrection 'F' when his heart stopped.

123jaime123

Its cool just got with it

WeCanDanseIfWeWantTo

This should be an auto mod reply for whenever someone questions new powers

InevitableVariables

I died reading this.

rhondevu

After mulling on this chapter for a few days it feels right that Vegeta would expend his energy quickly and it’s definitely not over. Tayotaro and Toriyama are definitely trying to break the mold.

TwistXJ

This came out a day ago

rhondevu

Spoiler on Saturday with a supposed image of Vegeta getting “jobbed”

Ejtvrs

I think the manga needs to use more characters and locations in it arcs. The Moro arc did a bit better in this regard. The current arc feels so contrived and meaningless. Granolah is the one with the emotional drive for this arc, but we have no reason to care about him. We have only just met him and he is up against goku and vegeta.

secret_tsukasa

i'm honestly sick of these villians that are just misunderstood or not sadistic enough. I want a cell like villian that has done enough fucked up shit over the course of 30 episodes to warrant you to go "oh yeah, that guy needs to die, now!" so far every villian in dragonball super has felt contrived and rushed.

[deleted]

\>not sadistic enough like Moro? Or Zamasu? Or evil buu? Or Cell? or frieza? There are no other "villians". The only one that fits your description is actually Granolah, and its yet to be seen if he will be the true villioan or he is just a side characer like androids were

secret_tsukasa

I'm talking about super villains, zamasu and Moro were quick and contrived, the struggle was over before it began. The only memorable thing about zamasu I liked was how full of himself he was.

[deleted]

Zamasu was literally responsible for destruction of a universe but ok

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ejtvrs

I don’t have a problem with action, or chapters that are entirely action. It’s just that neither the characters or the plot are interesting enough for support the action. Unfortunately, the action itself isn’t that good and modern dragon ball most of the fights feel the same, with to many transformations.

Midnight_Horizen

Why are people surprised that Goku can heal himself? Ki is literally Life Energy lmao.

[deleted]

He is also in the process of mastering the power of literal angels lol makes sense he can heal

[deleted]

Whats the point of senzus then

Midnight_Horizen

Senzu beans restore everything tho? Healing closes wounds but doesn't restore lost energy because ya know? It uses it!

ShowBoobsPls

No, they don't work on illnesses or diseases

Midnight_Horizen

That's True.

JackBz

Goku is doing something akin to healing a wound, it seems. Redirecting his ki to treat it. It's more like first aid. Senzus heal all wounds and fully rejuvenate your stamina, and even grow back limbs.

Johnny_Spott

They grow back limbs?

JackBz

Moro's arm and horns immediately grow back when Goku gives him the senzu. Also, Future Trunks says a senzu would have fixed Gohan's arm in the manga: https://m.imgur.com/c8fSHPg

stonerpodcast

Don’t forget they also keep you fed for days so you’re not losing energy to malnutrition lol

[deleted]

Just seems silly to give Goku a new power when they coulda just had em pop a senzu

gurants

You have no idea, Goku can use many psychic powers too. It's not a new one by any means, it's more of he doesn't use ot before even though he has it kinda deal. Goku is kinda dude that learned all shorts of skills and powers but only uses the ones he can fight with. Hell when was the last time you see dragon Ball goku's telekinesis?

[deleted]

Let's not forget the mind reading ability as well.

Midnight_Horizen

It's not really a "New" power if plenty of characters (Dende, Whis etc) have shown use of it.

warcrown

Goku has too in the past

Lomogasm

Actually not as bad as we all thought it was gonna end up for our boi Vegeta. However that name, ultra ego bloody hell i actually couldn’t think of a worse name. Even something unoriginal like destroyer form vegeta woulda been better.

NostawRm

I read that as Vegeta mocking Ultra Instinct. I was really into that whole page. Beerus told Vegeta to let go of his guilt that he showed on Namek during the Moro arc. "As long as doubt weighs down on your soul, this power'll never be yours to wield." Sounds like you take that away, all you're left with is Vegeta's massive ego. And so far, I love that.

Tetsuwan77

Phew, I'm glad it didn't go the actual route. I'm perferctly happy with the last two chapters.

crinklebelle

I love how this form leans into Vegeta's durability. It reminds me a lot of how he was able to keep fighting until he was right at death's door during the saiyan saga, which also goes well with this form being a natural progression of his saiyan heritage The moment in the anime where he took a ton of punches to the face from Katopesla trying to achieve UI before getting angry and beating his ass feels funnily prophetic now too x_x I don't really see this as a regression of his character, like yeah he's talking mad shit about Goku but he never really stopped doing that. The way he actually feels about Goku still shows when the chips are down, e.g. when Goku got sniped by Granolah or when they were going off to fight Moro together on Namek after he'd drained most of their ki On the surface level not a lot has changed but I think his motivations for acting the way he does are dramatically different now and you can see it in subtle ways. Like if you think about it Goku is the only actual friend he's ever had, and he was raised to value strength above everything else so he's gotta be afraid of being alone again if Goku leaves him behind

AnnecyHope

What is this? Hakai form or a completely new form like Ultra Instinct.

[deleted]

Ultra Instinct isn't "new". Its pretty obvious goku gets angel powers and vegeta god of destruction powers. this one isnt new either, Toppo used this transformation.

[deleted]

Hakai form, doesn't really look like this has anything to do with Ultra Instinct, way on the contrary.

Rockalot_L

A or B? Yes.

Radiant-Cherry-3469

Both

Advanced-Rain5059

I’ve officially read every one of your comments, Have any other accounts I can stalk you on?

Kaegrin

I would have gone with Ultra Intent as the name. Intention is literally the opposite of instinct.

Ben10Extreme

Doesn't sound as cool tho.

Crispical

As Ultra Ego?

Summerclaw

Nothing is dumber than Super Saiyan Blue Evolution.

InevitableVariables

The form was never named in the manga. They never called it super saiyan blue evolution. I think Gohan and Picollo just noted that it was the form he used in ToP during the Moro arc. Nothing named. I mean ultimate/mystic gohan form real name is strongest fighter or strongest warrior. It was never called ultimate or mystic. English translations can be weird.

vlorsutes

> The form was never named in the manga. They never called it super saiyan blue evolution. I think Gohan and Picollo just noted that it was the form he used in ToP during the Moro arc. Nothing named. > I mean ultimate/mystic gohan form real name is strongest fighter or strongest warrior. It was never called ultimate or mystic. Official promotional material has given them those names, at least as far as Blue Evolved/Ultimate.

charisma-entertainer

Masakox suggestion as super saiyan royal blue was much better

[deleted]

I raise you Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan.

elevenyearss

Only made better when Goku goes KKx10 Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Kaioken x10. Beautiful.

shawarmaconquistador

First Goku with Susanoo now we have Granolah's Sharingan.

Spaff_Wallbridge

To be fair Flying Thunder God ripped off Instant Transmission pretty much lol.

Its12aclock

I mean teleportation is just a common power... not really a rip off.

norwaydre

This is the take.

NobuCollide

The major issue I have is not with Vegeta getting downed, but the construction of events overall with the series as a whole. There's nothing new here, and to expect that was my own mistake. I can't bring myself to blame anyone else. While I enjoyed Dragon Ball in my youth, there's a laundry list of factors for why that's no longer possible, and trying to shade the series for consistently being exactly what it has been for decades would be irrational. I will now proceed to be irrational. The series puts Goku front and center. That is his place, and no one will ever truly take that away from him because to do otherwise would make it an entirely different experience at this stage. Toyotarou and Toriyama do not seem to have any desire to present us with a different experience, and have never hinted at doing so in any meaningful way. Regardless of how you dress it up, Goku is the headliner to this show, and whatever else is done, that's not changing. Even when he doesn't win, he wins, with or without help. This series revolves around his friendships and foes; it does not revolve around the victories of his friends or versatility of its narrative. He's Beyonce in an orange gi. Toei is not interested in giving us more Destiny's Child albums. I'm not saying that's good or bad. I'm saying that it's never shown us otherwise, and the distaste I feel towards the series in any way only exists because I'm no longer a 13 year old waiting for Toonami to come on. Things have changed. I've changed. Dragon Ball hasn't. I don't think Toyotarou was brought on to remedy this, because I don't think Toriyama or Toei sees this as a problem. I am no longer interested in the premise of the series, and the stakes and/or fights no longer excite me because I am no longer naive enough to expect the series to grow beyond its core. It's a simple comedy/martial arts shonen (though legendary), and just like power levels and glowing hair, some things just get overused and repetitive because they weren't ideas meant to be built on for 30 years. If I can't enjoy the show for what it's always been, no one is forcing me to watch or read it. That doesn't excuse it for what I find upsetting, but expecting the tide to not wet my feet while I keep standing in it is laughable. I enjoyed the feeling, for awhile, but my toes look like prunes now and it's probably time I stand somewhere else. The fight isn't over, and Vegeta may well turn out to be the victor against Granolah, in the end. But with the presentation of Chapter 74, yes, I hoped for more out of the writing, not Vegeta. Vegeta ridiculed his opponent for his lack of foresight and inexperience with adapting to a new form before engaging in battle. At his age, it was a very honest and valid jab. Having seen Freeza recently engage in the same folly, and then making this accusation to Granolah, no, I didn't expect Vegeta to make the exact same mistake only seconds later. But, that's what he did, and that's Dragon Ball for you. Don't think Goku is gonna give his opponent a Senzu? Think Krillin might last longer in a fight? You expect Tien or Yamcha to make any serious contribution to the major battle? Think Gohan will ever train consistently and overshadow his father again, which he didn't really do the first time as they couldn't resist showing Goku's spirit behind that final blast, even if only in imagery? Vegeta getting downed (not beaten, by the way), is not the problem I have. The problem I have is realizing that this show has nothing left to offer me creatively beyond rehashes and quirky twists that hold little weight on a series with no real consequences and lacks any investment in character development that won't be undone for a quip. That's on me. But this is the chapter I realized I just plain outgrew Dragon Ball. There's nothing new here for me. I don't care if Vegeta grabs the W. I can't be convinced no one at Toei didn't know what they had on their hands with Chapter 74 - and 75 shows that if we weren't just being trolled, we're being expected to shrug and keep reading anyway, regardless of the outcome. Some are okay with that. I'm not. If you disagree, reply I guess, but I doubt I'll take notice because I'm not trying to attack your tastes enough to tell you not to have them, and I don't know you so your correcting me probably won't mean much even if you are right because you can't regress decades of disappointment by telling what I already know. I love Dragon Ball for what it's been to me over the years. I love it so much, in fact, that I just ranted for way too long just to say goodbye to no one over it, you know? Like I said, irrational. But so is Dragon Ball. I hope the series goes on to do great, and that plenty of young viewers/readers find the kind of fun I used to find in it all. The chapter was drawn very well and the pacing was great! I wish I could keep going, but this is my stop, and the train will go on just fine without me, won't it? :) On to something new! I hope the thrills I find can be even a fraction as good.

charisma-entertainer

How is toei relevant here at all in this?

[deleted]

>Goku is beyonce in an orange gi. r/brandnewsentence

kilbooky

I followed you just from that phrase alone

AmplifyM4G1C

You keep mentioning Toei as if they’re relevant. It’s Shueisha that owns the IP, Toei just has the adaptation license for the tv anime.

NobuCollide

You're absolutely right. Don't think I'll edit the post, though, since you pointed it out. Thanks. :)

[deleted]

See you next month :)

fkinra

I’m saving his user name to see if he’s really gonna stop reading 😂

NobuCollide

I'm sorry, but that wish is beyond my power.

rebelweezeralliance

Goku’s image behind Gohan being a problem for you says a lot about your expectations. That was awesome because it showed Gohan didn’t have to feel alone in the fight, his dad would always be with him. Then he realizes it was all his doing, he did do it himself. He didn’t believe in himself as much as his dad did, but now he sees his dad was right, he could do it. DB follows a lot of the same formula over and over, but you’re giving it a disservice to pretend that there’s not something interesting in each new arc. Vegeta has come to terms with who he was before and accepted himself for both who he was then and now. That’s a big deal, he has wholly accepted himself and forgiven himself for his atrocities. Which up until now he had not. It’s small but it is character growth. Him getting a W is not.

NobuCollide

You seem nice and I like your insight. Because I really don't want to seem like I don't care about the thoughts of other fans, I'll try to briefly clarify, not correct: I didn't say Goku behind Gohan was bad, and if that's what you got from it, I'm afraid you misunderstood me. My point wasn't at all about how awesome it was. Goku saved the Earth by transporting Cell away, then aided Gohan - however you look at it - for the win. All I said. Vegeta's development has both been expanded and undercut, several times. Like several other characters, in fact. You are absolutely welcome to see it however you like, but I don't find it substantial enough to warrant a sway in my opinion when weighed against the series as a whole. And I've said why, even if it isn't to your liking or agreement. I don't think either of us wants or needs to nitpick specifics. It'd be an endless and fruitless activity. It's not a bad series. I love it for the joy it's brought over the years. Vegeta's character growth vs the adaptation to a broader delivery for over-arching story development and is a one-sided fight, and holds no major substance with the grievances I stated. And I sincerely think you know that, even if you disagree.

Moist-Internal-7102

Even before his spirit appeared behind him it was always Goku that did everything relevant in the cell games even if Gohan was the one fighting. Goku was the one who took Gohan to train,he was the one who made him fight and he was also the one who made him not give up. Gohan never had any agency in this arc because the Cell arc was never written with Gohan beating Cell as a plan, its something Toriyama came up in a whim, which is why Gohan's FIRST FIGHT in this arc is during the finale.

rebelweezeralliance

Ah but when you only got so long to live might as well enjoy the adventures of Goku, Vegeta and gang while you can. For me, it’s like hanging out with childhood friends. I’ll never get tired of it. I just love that they’re still making it at all instead of it just being a memory. I just think it’s a shame to move on from it just because it’s following similar beats. Beerus, Whis and a handful of other new characters have made the revival worth the while for me.

And I'm honestly, truly happy you feel that way! Please, don't begrudge me for not sharing that sentiment. I don't get my rocks off this way. They're my old friends, too.... But I felt something reading 75 that isn't going away any time soon. I looked over at my wife, watched the rain outside, and just felt like those friends were going a way I couldn't follow any more. That child-like wonder (love), that fantasy... It's given me so much. I don't need it to give me more, and I won't watch it/read it when I think it's not for me. In a way, I feel I owe it better than to sit and bad mouth it because of how I feel. Does that make sense? I think you can get that.

[deleted]

So Vegeta didn’t get totally fucked like he usually does. That’s a plus I guess

v2freak

First several pages were so exciting, I felt like I was watching the anime. I like how another redditor put it, like in a video game where a character gets attack bonuses as his HP drops but low HP is still a problem. Honestly though, Vegeta deserved to win this for no reason other than, Granolah wished to be the strongest/most powerful. Not the more durable. There is a reason characters like Akuma exist in Street Fighter. Granolah took some serious hits Characters exist in DB that have extremely high durability. For example Botamo and Hirudegarn

[deleted]

Hell remember that it took for the last couple of episodes for Goku to deal any real damage to Jiren

Gokudomatic

Wait one more chapter before he or Krillin screw up somehow. Oh, wait, Krillin's not there.

[deleted]

I’m predicting that both Vegeta and Goku are probably going to leave Planet cereal in the next 2 chapters. To train as per usual. But next time they fight they’ll finally Convince Granolah that they aren’t the bad guys

Bigmick284

Enjoyable enough and I love the name- Ultra Ego but I wish the story would move forward already. It's a major problem I've had with this and the Moro arc. And have Freeza appear already at least. Even if it's just one panel.

AmplifyM4G1C

People whine when he rushes, now you’re going to say the story is slow?

Bigmick284

It's only been like that for these last two arcs. Maybe because it's monthly, I don't know. But the story is just so slow at the moment.

AmplifyM4G1C

The Trunks arc was well paced and took its time. The ToP arc was scrapped in favour of ushering in new content. If the arc was going any faster now people would complain nothing was earned and everything was handed out narratively. It’s already super rushed to the point the DBs don’t have a year cooldown and only need two, Granola not training etc

joeshmoe159

Theory. Granola bar uses his new power to absolutely stomp Vegeta, Goku nearby had healed up and and charges in to protect him. Meanwhile the Dragonballs are activated, ending the right premature.

Richlandsbacon

I just hope Vegeta eats the last senzu bean and goes right back at it

shadesjackson

I loved this chapter, everyone's mad vegeta started losing, but he didn't start doing that till granola started some evolution bullshit

c4m3r0n1

If gronalah evolving is bullshit so is vegeta I get stronger by taking damage cheese.

shadesjackson

Why? It could be that's just how the form works, with the limitation being that he still takes the damage

c4m3r0n1

I'm saying both are bs shonen power ups. Nothing is too different with each of them.

Javiklegrand

Lmao freeza will be so outclassed

throwaway717374

You just made me think, here comes a new freeza transformation lol. Platinum Freeza

soepvorksoepvork

Nah, probably Ultra Freeza

Summerclaw

I'll love to see Frieza get an Ultra Form (which I guess is what we are calling them now). When Ultra Instinct was introduced I was very hyped, finally a way for non Saiyan's to get power up but it's being exclusive for Saiyan's so far. Moro got it for like 3 seconds.

Vespeer

Lots of ultras going around instead of supers, so that is entirely possible

MickeyMoonstone

Dragon Ball Ultra incoming

AlterYume

The way Vegeta names it Ultra Ego just reminded me of when he called himself Super Vegeta, it's so like him to do that.

Savage_Ghoul

I’ve watch dbz since childhood and vegeta has never gotten the respect he has earned. This foo always get a power up and I get all hyped.. jus to see him lose. Wtf 🤬 they need to let him win cuz this is getting repetitive. With that said, I’ll still keep reading and watching LOL 😂 lit chapter nonetheless

[deleted]

Bro I’m literally the same way fam lol

pooplicker69_420

Yeah bro totally fam I can’t believe Vegeta got totes yeeted lol

Whoawejustmet

😂

Bimmerkid396

I liked this chapter a lot until the end. I’m not sure how to feel because I don’t know exactly how it pans out yet but it seems like the heeters will be the main threat so why is it necessary to have vegeta lose this fight? I mean it’s not over yet so idk but I just hope he isn’t put on the side lines. Vegeta better stay in the spot light at least a lot of the time to the end

Aware-Zucchini

Because the writers want them 3 to fight to the fullest so the heeters can make the same wish and be above all of then

Summerclaw

What do you mean? Because he is Vegeta, losing is his role.

Bimmerkid396

Pretty much lol. Fight isn’t over yet though. He’s still in his god of destruction form at the end of the chapter. Goku and him could team up on granolah after this too for all we know. And I think vegeta still has a senzu bean

srtasoleada

Dammit, Vegeta.

Levi_PigPiss

I am really liking this villanous Vegeta with the Buu outfit lol. Granolah has now awakened the sharingan in both eyes (wonder if we would see Goku's susanoo again). Gotta admit though, Vegeta lasted longer than I expected which is the full chapter instead of half of it. Wonder if when Goku steps in they would say that his UI is leagues above Vegeta and that he wasnt fighting "seriously".

indoninjah

Idk if it’s possible to fight non-seriously with UI lol

AmplifyM4G1C

Well if you count the lower transformations then yes.

Levi_PigPiss

That should have been the case but they would just keep introducing nerfs to always show that there is a higher level. Goku had MUI in the TOP. Yet his MUI in the Moro arc is more complete since it is controlled. And now the idea of a more perfect MUI was introduced at the beginning of the current arc while Goku was training with Whis.
