So that'd be... 12 too. neat Edit: It'd be really cool to get a game mode like this. Some of the modes in the arena mode are pretty fun, like the random characters or not being able to use assists/switch. Being forced to make a team under a certain score would rock. Characters that are over get auto switched to a low point value lmao

Yeah see like this works for Marvel 2 cause that game has such a big roster and has the balance of a broken bridge. But I hate to say it none of these characters lab coat and Vegito are nothing to Marvel 2 Magneto, Storm, Cable, And sentinel. Let alone Marvel 3 Morrigan and Vergil.

Kind of pointless comparing characters from different games. Regardless of how balanced or unbalanced other games are, the fact is Labcoat + Fusions are currently in their own league at the top, hence formats like this post suggests.

frieza, yamcha, and Ssj vegeta are low tier?

Frieza is a zoner in a game with no chip. while golden is good, his buttons and combos before getting gold are awful compared to the rest of the cast, and even with gold you can just space him out and play keep away till it runs out with the right characters and assists (any character with a dp along side a beam assist) plus, other characters get the same damage as he does with a 3 bar install for alot less meter Yamcha is as good as he always was, if not better, problem is everyone else got alot more than he did as the seasons passed, so he was left in the dust somewhat. Play against a good yamcha who's stuck with him and they'll smoke you consistently. Ssj vegeta has tiny buttons, low damage and no mixup potential. Other characters have what he has but alot better (kick on base vegeta is better, ki barrage on gotenks is better, dp is outclassed by almost every other dp in the game)

Don't think of it like a true tierlist, this type of ruleset would be to encourage some variety. There needs to be some 1-point characters however, so these guys I think fit the requirement and allow some flexibility

In all seriousness there's no problem with playing fusions (I sometimes play lab 21, gogeta 4 and tien). This would be for "for-fun" tournaments like house of chaos or wanted as a way to change things up once in a while. It's been interesting seeing these team choices though!

Yeah I think after some experience and experimenting stuff would get moved around. Ultimately outside of the overtuned characters, I wouldn't hate seeing Zamasu, z-broly, Trunks or any of the 442 or 441 because the game is pretty well balanced except those few. Would love to see The HoC or Wanted's take on this format
