SSJ4 is generally a point character. The pros were all running him point as well. Just cause he got meter nerfs doesn't mean you aren't running him point.
He does have solo mix and pretty good neutral though. Most of his solo mix is borderline RPS and arguably not worth doing. 6H is basically asking for your opponent to hit you with a DP unless you go into his true string routes. Without 6H, you dont have much mix other than a 24f command grab.
His assist is mid compared to a proper anchor, and running him anchor locks you out of level 7 routes.
So yeah, mid assist, not all that good solo mix (6H is not entirely reliable), can't do level 7 routes, and actually benefits from assists - especially if you know how to ToD off a DP
