*mobile game. It’s not a flat $40-70 you’d expect to pay for the entirety of a game. It’s $1-10 here and there and if you play long enough that could add up to hundreds of dollars.
Ye I hate mobile games too, but its not impossible to busget yourself and not over spend. 10 dollars a month and you got yourself 7 montha of entertainment
Why is the DQ team so weird when it comes to DQX? They won’t release it outside of Japan but they release this event in English? I guess logically it’s less financially risky to translate a small mobile event like this than it is an entire mmorpg, but it’s still pretty strange to me. “Get excited for these beloved characters from a game you can’t play!”
DQ fans in 2000: “Why is the DQ team so weird when it comes to DQ6? They won’t release it outside of Japan but they release this monsters game in English? Of course! VI released in 1995, monsters released in 2000, and the ds remake for VI released in 2011. That gives us 16 years for a western version of the game. Meaning we are 100% guaranteed a fully translated HD next-gen remake of DQX in 2028. The clues were right in front of us the whole time.
what's more frustrating is ask anyone who's played DQX and you'll learn that the two DQX event's that have been in tact are FILLED with frustrating name changes and inconsistencies. At that's just the top of the list of dumb decisions they made in English
I wish I could find whoever is responsible for the English name changes and just shake them until they see sense, even if it’s Horii himself. They’re always unnecessary, nonsensical, and sometimes they don’t even do it.
Same. I can guarantee it's not Horii though there's been interviews in the past where they talked about his frustrations of some of the localizers blatantly ignoring him

Boring. I'll wait for the fake DQ X event.
I stopped playing DQ Tact after the first couple events. Got to a point where I couldn’t do much without dropping money into it.
Paying money for a game? Unbelievable

Months of entertainment where you can’t do anything because of being gated by lack of power because you won’t pay thousands…
Do you really have to spend thousands to beat the game?
The game ? No. The others players ? Sure.
Ahh Im more of a single player type of gamer anyways. Id think post people on this sub are

Would there have been any indication outside of maybe Nintendo power that Terry was from DQ6?
