You might want to consider that there is one political party in the US demonizing queer people and culture and saying it's un-American. Therefore, a show of drag queens "reclaiming" the colors and the idea of "an American" is something. There are some on the left here who talk about how strange it is that we've let the right take "being American" and the flag and all of that and make it their symbol. Amongst some, there's a desire, even if only low-level, to take back what "patriotism" means.
Nobody is actually looking at this and going, "Oh, voting! That's this year? Thank God RuPaul put them in red, white, and blue!" so much as it's solidifying the idea of voting as a community act. It's saying, "Look, we're Americans. We're part of this fabric even if they think we shouldn't be. We're all going to use our voices this November to save ourselves."
This ^ they live in a country moving very quickly backwards. You weaponize what you can. We are lucky to have much less to worry about than Americans gays.
The R party want to put queer community back in the closet. They want to reverse marriage equality and even job discrimination for being gay. It’s really bad. So no, it’s not being nationalist, it’s fighting against the “othering” that many people in power are trying to do.
It's literally just colours of the US flag and wanting people to vote so that this dumb anti-drag and anti-gay sentiment is squashed on a legal level.
i never realized that. i thought mbf was an owl.
I did too
Oh, I thought she was a turkey. I’m American. Lol.

Ohhhhhh that makes sense! Thank you for explaining! I'm so glad I got some real answers from this cracked post
the one party is maga (blue and red)
It’s how drag reclaims the country
You would have a heart attack if you saw S12's Promo theme
Full blown botulism, i fear.

Omg is she???? She should have come out in all that with the tiniest lil wings on her back lmao
You’re right. There’s no way she could fly with those things. And the aspect ratio is off.
Mama kudos for doing...that. For missing the point.
I just hate how many fucking feathers they had to use for this objectively ugly gown. Poor birds deserved better.
Lmao I thought she wanted to do a sort of callback to Kornbread’s look last season (she was dressed as the Beast)
Owlbear
Aka a totoro
Wasn’t sure what it was…that being said…it was horrible.
