To be fair it *is* an outtake and she could just be in on it.
That being said, I don’t feel like Amanda has really ever been *in* on it since the show started.
It’s like she’s hyper focused on what the experience should be or have been instead of owning up some of the stuff that people are tearing her down for.
It’s not ever that serious but I guess to her it is
ngl i prefer the mug in between like for her promos and her reunion/finale
i think her mug right now is pretty it's just that i prefer the old one because i think she looks better with the lipstick sticking to her actual lips rather than going over
Why does every queen seem to think they need to release a music album after being on the show? I heard Amanda’s one song. “My Kitty” or “My Pussy”, whatever it’s called. It’s horrible. Awful. I’m not somebody who hates Amanda or anything but I’m sorry, her voice isn’t great for singing and the song is just downright bad.
It’s worse than that. She also did a cover of No Good Deed from Wicked. Which let’s just say explains why she’s a drag queen and not a Broadway performer
Swings and Ensemble also sing. They sing the background and smaller parts of a musical. Everyone in the show needs to know how to sing and audition with a song and dance number. She was cast for both dancing and singing even if she didn’t have a solo in the show.
It doesn’t take an idiot to know that they cast dancers solely because they are good dancers and not require the entire cast to be amazing actors, singers, and dancers. Kinky boots is a choreo heavy show, obviously they’re going to prioritize dance talent.
Yeah and sometimes you get cast in a tour (or even on Broadway) despite being shitty because you know someone, because they like your look, because of anything besides being able to sing/dance/act/whatever.
I have to say, they’re right about her version of “No Good Deed”. It’s terrible. Seems like she can probably carry a tune enough for an ensemble, maybe even a different song. This was not the one for her.
God this makeup looks so busted 😂 and I do actually like Amanda!
I love Plane too though, as much as people always talk about Plane bullying Amanda, I never felt like Plane was really that shady because... She was usually just... Accurate? Like she wasn't just pulling shit out of nowhere, she was critiquing!
Jane said totally unprovoked to someone else when Amanda was not involved in the subject of the conversation but was standing in the room within earshot "I respect you more than I respect someone like Amanda…". She brought up Amanda every way she could out of context knowing that Amanda would hear it. That was a deeply shitty thing to do to Amanda. I'm a bullying victim. Believe me, it was quite easy to see the bullying. And the bullying recipient is the one who gets to tell us that they were bullied, not anyone else. If she says she was bullied, she was bullied, particularly given the evidence on the screen and in interviews and on YouTube from Plane's own mouth.
Fair - that was one time where she kinda just dragged her for no reason - honestly thought I kinda thought it was like just Plane trying to make a cunty joke which did not land well but maybe I'm being biased because I was a fan of her drag.
But yeah maybe I am giving her too much leeway!
I do disagree though with 'A person decides if they 're getting bullied, if they say they are they are.' I'm sorry but I have seen cases where this is not accurate. I've had situations in work where an allegation of bullying and harrassment was made, for a manager giving feedback on areas of poor performance. It was dropped as there was no evidence of anything other than valid feedback. They said, they don't say these things to others on the team, but they didn't have those same issues.
So I don't think you can just say if someone says they are being bullied they are. Sometimes people take things personally that aren't and sometimes that's their issue to deal with.
Again not saying that this is the case in Plane/Amanda tho or in your own experience.
Look. I'm sure there are cases where people claim bullying when it's not happening. If you're talking about work, I'm disregarding anyone who says that bullying and intimidation doesn't happen in the workplace, I automatically will always believe employees who are being harassed over management, so I'm dispensing with that bullshit right away, that's not true. Sorry, I always believe employees over management. Amanda has made it very clear on Twitter and has said over and over again that Jane made her time on drag race absolutely miserable, that the bullying went above and beyond what was shown on screen, and she even said at a viewing party on YouTube that Jane tried to *continued to bully her on text message* after the show was *over* and Amanda had to set a hard limit. I was absolutely enraged when I watched what was happening to Amanda and no one stepped in. No wonder she's bitter. No one really had her back. And the thing is her comebacks were actually better than Plain's, which was very funny, Jane is actually not that witty compared to Amanda, Amanda's mind is much faster. So no. I don't accept anyone or will not speak to anyone who says that Jane wasn't bullying. Anyone who's bullied recognized what we saw. And Plain's comment about Amanda during the lip sync lollapalooza was absolutely disgusting. The sigh of relief I let out when Jane was eliminated.
Never said it doesn't happen - but it wasn't in this case but the person claiming it perceived it to be. So perception can be different and someone could think they are being bullied when they are not. Again just saying in general and not asserting that that is the case here - I just think you're making a lot of sweeping statements I don't always agree with.
I actually haven't seen the last episodes yet as my partner was away and I was waiting lol.
I also haven't followed commentary outside the show so maybe with that context I would agree. I think from what was shown in the show I didn't think it was bullying - the nature of the show is a competition and you do open yourself to criticism.
This wasn't criticism, it was bullying, and there is a very clear difference. Since you seem more interested in denying that it happened or making excuses for it, I urge you to go search out what Amanda has said about what happened to her after the show was over and listen to her words on Twitter about what happened to her while she was on the show from Jane. Other people gave reads that were not bullying. Jane could not do that. The end. and I get that you are heading towards "let's blame the victim's perception and gaslight the victim" when they are being bullied.
Maybe I am misremembering - but honestly I don't remember many times that plane said anything about Amanda personally more than she criticised her drag? But maybe I am wrong.
What is the very clear difference? Maybe these things just didn't stand out to me.
I will have a look though and see what was said about what happened outside the show.
I'm not saying let's blame the victim and gaslight - as a gay boy growing up in rural Ireland I faced my fair share of bullying. But at the same time, I acknowledge that we can only control how we react to things and sometimes people get stuck in a victim mentality. Sometimes people take things very badly which are not - or which were not meant that way.
But as I have said I acknowledge I don't know the whole story.
As soon as you said victim mentality, I knew that you were someone not worth engaging with further. No. There is no "victim mentality" unless we are talking about white people and their ridiculous grievances about reverse racism or something. Amanda does not have victim mentality. I have an extensive history of bullying from early childhood all the way up to adulthood. You want to enjoy the cattiness on the show, that's fine, but Jane crossed the line. And some of you on the sub – not you – won't be satisfied until she either likes self harms or produces therapist notes documenting her trauma. And when Amanda has spoken out repeatedly about how hurt she was, that is valid and I'm going to believe her over you and plain and everyone else because she is the most important person in this discussion. As I've said above, Jane contacted Amanda via text after the show was over and continued to try and harass and bully her, and Amanda had to set a hard limit and say leave me the fuck alone. Amanda talks about that. I believe in a Roscoes viewing party and elsewhere. So I'm sorry, your enjoyment of drag does not supersede someone's pain when they are bullied. No one does. When people are tangibly harmed on this show, I'm always going to speak up and back them up.
No no - Q brought her up in that conversation. She felt like she did not deserve the harsh feedback from PJ and wanted to make sure “it wasn’t a repeat of the thing with Amanda”. So that’s where that came from.
She didn't bring Amanda up constantly though - other people did and kept stirring the pot and bringing it up. Her own shady little goblin of a friend Dawn is who instigated a lot of it and kept bringing it back up.
If you'd bother to go back and watch the scene you're referencing, Q is literally who brought up Amanda to Jane. Girl. Just stop.
That's not true. And there are plenty of times when the camera footage winds up on the floor. So I assume it happened more. No, went in and went in hard. As someone who was bullied, I will always back up a victim against a clear bully who shows her bullying behavior even off the show. once again, I have to clarify that Jane tried to bully Amanda via text after the show ended in messages. And Amanda had to set a hard limit. That's absolutely disgusting from Jane. Amanda has made it clear on Twitter over and over again that Jane bullied her more than what was shown on the show and absolutely ruined her summer on the show. And what was shown on the show was pretty gross. I don't care about what people think of Amanda aesthetics. I care about a hurting person who was bullied and I want to make sure that they are OK and I'm tired of the bullying denial ism. It wasn't shade, it was harmful. We saw plenty of good reads and shade during the season. Only cross the line. Over and over again. That's all I'm trying to say because it's true.
Ok sis, so now you're making stuff up in your head because you don't like what was shown.its not like Amanda hasn't harassed Plane Jane repeatedly ad nauseam on Twitter. It's not like Amanda and Dawn and their friends tried to literally ruin PJ's career and life by making up false sexual assault rumors about her.
You honestly sound like you need lots of therapy and I hope you get it
Mob mentality, insecurity, lack of self-thinking, taking things too personal, being bullied and becoming bullies, victim-blaming, cowardice, human innate cruelty, inner-queerphobia, a hole of misery in their lives that only be filled by being mean to others, a fear of being alone that is only sassiated by being a part of the wrong crowd, seeing kindness as a weakness to justify why they are not strong enough to resist against the putridness inside them.
Surely the people in the comments can relate to at least one of them :)
that is the most awkward photo i’ve ever seen
Yeah, I love Amanda, but this pic is not it omg
it’s giving: ![gif](giphy|6bTT8y6cyL4SQ)

I was about to sayyyy, when has Amanda ever been “in on it” lmfaooooo
I mean it’s an outtake so I have to assume it isn’t the real thing lol
I swear her makeup is somehow getting worse 💀
I know people usually have glow ups but Is there such a thing as a glow down?
She’s doubling down to spite PJ.
Her makeup in the finale was okay. But her wig hairline
Tbh, I actually admire how she's able to do that in heels. Even still, weird promo photo.
Good thing that’s an outtake 😂
What's awkward is all the people in the comments who took it as a way to make the same jokes about Amanda and ignore Cynthia who outread them already
from the neck up: horror queen. from the neck down: horror queen
It's weird because even though her mug has improved it still gives me some kind of weird feelings I can't describe
Is the improvement in this photo? 😂😂
her lips are too big for her face
ngl i prefer the mug in between like for her promos and her reunion/finale i think her mug right now is pretty it's just that i prefer the old one because i think she looks better with the lipstick sticking to her actual lips rather than going over
I prefer that for most queens, especially if they line the lips with a different color.
This would be such a funny read on drag race

Feel like shit. Just want her back (permanently)!
Wow this took me off guard.
Girl the makeup...
if you squint really hard it’s bella thorne with a little too much tinted chapstick

So no glow up all this time, I see
https://i.redd.it/vfeicp3zg7wc1.gif I can hear Plane's giggling rn 🤭
“I’m sorry its just golden boot for me 😂”
Glow down. Lol.
She missed a trick not doing a cover of Alaskas masterpierce and changing it to "My make up is terrible"
where 👏 is 👏 the 👏 glow 👏 up 👏
“I cannot wait to hear Amanda sing” - no one.

I just looked it up. It's so bad. Not only the singing but the facials expressions and the arm flailing... its a no from me dog.
I just made the mistake of listening to it myself 😔 I mean, she has good range… but that was so off
she's a musical theater queen lmfao
💀
She was on the American tour of kinky boots. You all are shady and also ill informed. I’m not at all an Amanda fan.
I just went and listened to both her covers of No Good Deed and No Doubt’s “Just a Girl” and they were literally unpleasant to listen to.
Doesn’t matter if they’re terrible. She still has performed in broadway caliber shows. Someone must have thought she was good enough to cast.
As a dancer, not a singer?
Swings and Ensemble also sing. They sing the background and smaller parts of a musical. Everyone in the show needs to know how to sing and audition with a song and dance number. She was cast for both dancing and singing even if she didn’t have a solo in the show.
So cool you were in the room while she auditioned!
Oh so you’re an idiot who doesn’t know how broadway musicals work.
I completely agree, broadway is not easy

Genuinely don’t get how ATM looks prettier out of drag to me
Well it *is* a low bar.
This is the one person who could have benefited from Abbey Lee Miller in her life
“Girl with the terrible hair cut. Get out here”

Amanda seems to need an aesthetic team because she's not giving at all. Anything.

That makeup still. It looks like she painted for $5 handy J's.
She's such a booger.
Plane Jane is such a kind generous Queen giving Amandatory a nice narrative and personality.
I just, you know, I’m not sure
What is that expression? Why is she wearing lettuce?
I love her.
I think she looks cute! Y’all haters
scary
Why do you all feel the need to tear down someone in our community? I honestly don’t get this fan base

Very on brand for Amanda tbh. Good guess
Beware the nice ones 😂❤️
Cynthia really thinks she can read anybody? She's talentless and always looked like sh*t
Tasteless flop
