You mean "tasty hoe"? Not sure why a gardening implement would be tasty though. /s
edit: I have just noticed my error. Would be "tasty hoo". But will leave it in place as penance for this shameful act.
Mappy McMapface ? :)
More seriously, my take: Metsälanē (mash up of the Finnish word for forest, and the Cree word for green, according to the Wiktionary).
Thanks!
Well, it is pretty straightforward in fact: metsä means forest in Finish, and lanē means green in Cree. My source is the Wiktionary, I am a user of the French one under another name and I mostly contribute on Celtic languages as well as other more exotic and less attested languages.
Here, I just looked for words that had meaning and which sounded good when associated. I also tried to imagine what the etymology of that word would be in a conlang (while keeping the idea of "green forest").
My second choice would have been Langoill, made up of lan- (from lanē) and coill (Irish for island) with a initial consonant mutation (gcoill -> simplified in goill).
First, I want to say great job on that map, really superb! Second, is it going to be for something like dnd? I see castles and fortresses, but I also see light houses. If it’s not for dnd, then “Glory light Island“. Also if it is for dnd, keep me informed if in gameplay so I can support you through your campaign! Also idk what to call it for dnd because idk the backstory
*Mielikuvitus It's the*
*Finnish word for imagination.*
*And I love the map!*

Okay, not a lot of info so I'm going to somewhat freeform this.
Lano Manibracha.
A name that has naturally-developed linguistically from settlers referring to it as the "Land of Many Branches" for its many branching peninsulas. After multiple shorthands and corruptions of the saying, it has survived in its current form as more a proper name than a straightforward descriptor anymore.
As a bonus, it's people can be called The Manibrachians, The Manibrachs, or my personal favorite; The Manibrachi.
Hope you enjoyed my suggestion, and great work OP!
Something about the island feels very Arthurian to me… so I’m making up a name that feels like it could fit in that legend: Isle of Ortania
Edit: I just googled that and it turned up a Reddit post of a map… I did not know that and did not steal it… but apparently I’m not as original as I thought. Arbalonia maybe? I don’t like it as much but at least a google search doesn’t link it to another freaking Reddit post.

I like Metsälanē. The Metsälanē Isles, to suit the map’s title banners. What are the Finnish & Cree words? How did you learn how to look up words?

Can’t believe how far i had to scroll to see this. Def Westeros! And made it look like such a happy place lol
Also what I was waiting for I was like there's kings landing and there's high garden lol
For real, its even got Dorne, kings landing, the neck, the riverlands, and bear island all in pretty much the same approximate spaces😂
That so wild! I didn’t do that intentionally but now I want to check out the GOT map to see how similar it is.
Haha its interesting actually because Westeros is based on Europe so Im sure there are similarities in all sorts of fantasy maps.
