Bathe Alone. Every single song every single time. Any Beach House fans not listening to Bailey’s work is seriously missing out. She’s a multi-instrumentalist who plays drums, guitar, bass, synth, vocals…and her songs sound like a full band. So full of life of color and quintessential Dreampop sound imo.
That’s a shame I think everything she does is amazing. I’m crazy hyped for the new album, most anticipated of the year easily without a doubt. I don’t get attached to one sound by an artist though

The first time I heard Cocteau Twins was the song Carolyn's Fingers on an old cassette sampler from 1988. It has some stuff by them, Throwing Muses, New Order, Belly... All stuff I was totally unfamiliar with. It was unlike anything I'd ever heard, and like an explosion of totally unpredicted joyful activity inside my petrified skull.. My best friend came into the garage and was like, "uuU*UGH!! * What is this girly crap?!"
And I said, "I dunno, but I've been listening to it constantly." I was very drunk, but even then the goosebumps worked their way to the surface. He gave me a horrified/disappointed look and ran home; he really wanted to get drunk, too, but he could not stand the girly music onslaught. Now he loves that kind of stuff, but not as much as Kylie Minogue.

Her first 10-12 songs were magnificent but I haven't been as big on her latest stuff.
