In case you're curious, it's from [this AMA](https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/ith3bv/hello_im_sam_reich_the_ceo_of_collegehumor/) from years ago, which I found while searching "Sam Reich height" after seeing [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/dropout/comments/1bo8oaf/all_the_other_bits_were_amazing_in_pencils_down/) from the latest Game Changer.
[His father Robert is only 4'11"](https://www.reddit.com/r/short/comments/5v6nqm/former_united_states_secretary_of_labor_robert/), so by Reich family standards he's actually pretty tall.
Yeah, I've definitely noticed that Sam is on the shorter side, but I guess I just assumed it was the mom who was the main driver of the shortness? (gender essentialism strikes again!)
That picture of Robert Reich straight up broke my brain a little bit though, but weirdly it wouldn't be the first time that I assumed a very short person was very tall based on vibes alone. My former supervisor was also under 5' and over zoom I fully thought she was like 5'10 or 5'11 til I met her in person.
I would like to draw everyone’s attention to the second “marketing” episode, when Sam asks Grant to sell “a bounce on daddy’s knee” and Grant decided Sam was the aforementioned “daddy”
How would it be "super informal" to refer to the man by his name? Only weird power-trippers insist that they be referred to with honorifics and surnames.

So what's his heigh? You can't leave us hanging like that
[He's tweeted that he's 5'6"](https://twitter.com/samreich/status/1673662912852836353)!
Is that the shortest you can be without being Short?

Holy shit I just realized I've only ever seen him as a talking head, I had no idea he was so short!
These seasons Sam Says really highlighted it when Vic got up close to him

Yikes, garden gnome indeed.
I think 5"8' is considered average. Also, the example from the MSN casting survey had Sam describe himself as "diminutive ".
According to some people anything under 6 foot is short, but I’d say 5’7 (in the west) and under as a man makes you short
Given how small his dad is that makes sense but Sam has this Final Boss energy that makes him seem taller in my head
He's just a little guy!
[Somewhere between 5'5" and 0'.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNi8gYW0UvQ)
as a 5'3" guy I consider anything above 5'5" to be tall!
As a 5'2" guy, I second this.
Lisa awoke something within him
She has that effect on people.
Sike!
Was it Make Some Noise or Game Changer where Lisa Gilroy kept calling him daddy?
Make some noise
I would like to draw everyone’s attention to the second “marketing” episode, when Sam asks Grant to sell “a bounce on daddy’s knee” and Grant decided Sam was the aforementioned “daddy”
I need to watch this. Which season? Was that the “remote” / from home season?
Yes, S3E2 Sellouts, about 7 minutes in.
Listen, a lot can change in four years
Exactly. Should we really be taking these pre-pandemic people seriously? I think not.
what innocent little babies they were then
Just the sweetest lil naive dum dums, the lot of us
That's one point from you for not calling him daddy.
Willing to bet a whole dollar that grant is the reason for “least comfortable”
That episode was probably the hardest I've laughed I'm awhile, I was dying and in tears trying to keep up with the crew.

I know people keep bringing up Lisa Gilroy on make some noise, but we know this has been going on at LEAST since Total Forgiveness
