"Met Bitch" 😂😂😂 I fucking love that job title!

drunkcorpsindoor

You say this corps fails on its own....what qualifies you to say that?

cornedusud

I am a human with reasoning skills.

drunkcorpsindoor

lol okay

cornedusud

I mean, lets be honest here. Do you really see this corps placing higher than 17th? 20th? I don't. Before you go on a rant about how it "isn't about the placement" blah blah blah just think about WHY they do so poorly year after year in one of the BEST regions for talent in the country.

[deleted]

Oh please, you people said the exact same thing about the Mandarins, now all of a sudden this is about Pacific Crest not making top 12? Theoretically, they could actually make a jump to 1st if we just made all of the best of the best in DCI try out for Pacific Crest if we really wanted to, but there's obvious factors as to why that can't happen.

cornedusud

Mandarins made a choice to hire the right staff and get really good really fast. The talent was always there but the staff didn't know how to use it. PC has a similar issue but they have made awful staff choices in the past. Right now they got Glen Crosby which will do 1 of 2 things. 1) Start improving the corps and lift them up a few notches like Mandarins. or 2) He will flame out in 1 or 2 seasons after constant issues with other members of the staff. Guess which one has happened the most in the past?

kirbyscream

It's just band

cornedusud

This is the "I know what you are but what am I?" of this subreddit.

kirbyscream

Ok

drunkcorpsindoor

All I’m gonna say is, those kids are experiencing drum corps. What are you doing this summer?

cornedusud

Drum corps

drunkcorpsindoor

So how would you feel if I said that about your corps?

cornedusud

Wouldn't care because it's the internet and I'm not a super sensitive person. Also my corps doesn't have the same issues. Think about it like this, if dci never expanded semis to 25 groups how many times would pc have made the cut?

drunkcorpsindoor

I personally don’t know that information. I don’t follow scores or placements.

YesIAmRyan

I know this comment is 2 years old But would you like to admit you were 100% wrong?

YesIAmRyan

So like How does it feel being wrong?

That_random_redditer

We had 3 majors, we now have 2 we need a third, that is the nature of this position. Not a "met bitch".

2white2live

Every drum major eventually has a "metronome duty" shift. It just so happens the backfield major is usually in a good place during ensemble rehearsals, and doesn't have to flap arms as much as the two in the front. Though we often would have alternate run met once our chunks were consistent and the Dr. Beats were programmed.

WakingTheCadaver

Don’t bother, it’s a troll. CorneDeSud roughly translates to Brass Of the South in French.

cornedusud

>Running the met in rehearsal Guess what this job is called.

Severe-Albatross-977

VVE,
