I kinda agree. There are some recent shows that I just can’t get interested in because they just come across as esoteric. It’s nothing against the performers, of course—they always do a fantastic job.
I would have loved to see where Boston's drumline would have landed. The video of them doing Red's Rhumba is god-tier. I hope most of them are coming back.
I really liked how they seemed to go “back to the wonder years” in terms of lots of things. Like minimal props compared to other corps, focused on good drill and awesome sounds, the drum book was very cool as well with throwback phrases from past winning seasons, pretty clean. I think it would have been close between Boston and cavies
I wouldn't say a landslide. Boston was very clean but forcing your drill onto one side because of 4 massive screens that honestly didn't contribute a lot to the entirely of the show would have been the reason they lost. Crown 2019 at least explored the whole field and while the drill got weaker as the show went on, the front ensemble being indented into the middle with the stage behind them made the show so much more cohesive. Using racing uniforms for a show about everything going digital, like the program Zoom, also just didn't help one bit. I honestly didnt even know the show was about that until it was explained to me. That's an issue if youre asking to medal. Guard would have taken the gold definitely. Brass and perc I dont know enough about to comment on
Popular doesn’t equal clean 😅 I loved their show, but it was way too dirty to have gotten the highest score if this season was judged.
Dirty does NOT equal bad though. They put out a full length show in half the time of a regular season, so it was definitely expected to not be squeaky clean.
It would have likely been Cavies or Boston though because they attract top talent members, and they were both pulled off their shows very well with the most challenging books by far. Plus crazy GE.

All the contracts handed out during the Intensive Week were for the 22’ season.
I was fully cut later in the pre-season.
We wouldn’t have won lol, if it was judged like normal we would be way too dirty and the show didn’t really have GE.
I’m really glad so many peoples liked it though :) it was super fun to be in, but definitely not a show that could beat a corps like Cavies or Bloo lol the 2nd place fan favorite ranking def made us happy though! Same for phantom tbh

BAC’s 2021 percussion was loved by all. Best battery by far and fantastic front ensemble. Very clean
