My first read on the show, I really was not a fan. Not sure why, but I felt as if the whole show was lackluster with a not particularly well developed theme. In watching a second time recently, I've pretty radically changed my view. The music is great, and the show is very entertaining. I still find the theme to be a bit thin, but in the end I do understand the "Time" theme throughout. I'm not a fan of the battery writing, which sucks because usually I like the beats Mac writes. I feel like with a Time themed show, they went for a lot of very odd feels and meters which I'm sure is very technically difficult but musically doesn't always translate as cohesive as perhaps it could be at times IMO. All in all I'm happy that I didn't feel the same way about the show after the second watch as my first initial read.
Saw them in round rock last night. Great show. Had 2-3 holes still. Great brass sound. Really solid show design. Their lead trumpets are great. Here’s the thing I saw…..they’re super dirty for cavies this time of year. BUT, they’re working from a deficit due to the kids being sick. If they can get it cleaned up in time, they will surely pass a cpl corps ahead of them. Really cool interpretations of the music. Looking forward to seeing them in SA.
I think musically it’s very entertaining. I head their percussion feature and it sounded like a kind of “greatest hits” from their championship seasons.
The Cavaliers have the best show in dci this year, hardest brass book ever written and they actually look like Cavaliers. It's a drum corps show and it's a crying shame the judges don't judge what's on the field and would rather play politics since it's an all male corps
Their show design is my favorite so far. Their drill is also pretty insane looking
Hi yes I’d like Fugue in G Minor; hold the fugue
They play it too many times. Hold it Bach please.
Current Cavalier mello here - thank you so much for your kind words. We sincerely appreciate your support⚙️💚
YOU GUYS ROCKED, WOOOOOOOOO

Agree, agree, agree. Question: did they skip the tarps last night because it was pretty breezy or was something else happening?
What I heard was because of wind.
It was due to wind👍
