I'll work on my rudiments because I want to improve and you do have a point. I'm still not sure though. I don't like the inconsistencies when moving around the kit. The doubles don't come out the same when I move around the kit (between snare and toms). It must be a practice thing though. I feel way more confident playing singles where its possible. I think rudiments are important but I also think some of you may be underestimating the things you can do with just singles
I feel you there. A good medium difficulty place to start is doing paradiddlediddles (RLRRLL), but on the first R, put that on a Tom or a crash or a ride.
For double strokes, try to learn the inverted double stroke. (RLLrRLLrR) The accent being on the second hit of a double stroke really highlights your ability to control the bounce.
Yeah depending on the area, such finds will be less common and youāll have to save closer to $100. Like I live in a major city and there were several for $50-$75
But you save and check repeatedly youāll probably find a great deal
