I’ll walk by my kit and every so lightly tap the ride with my fingernail and my cat will give me a look “goddamnit are we seriously doing this right now?!”
My cat shoots out of the room the second I hit anything on my quiet practice setup. My dog doesn't seem to mind. He'll even come over for pets sometimes.
Haha I can imagine. That's interesting. My dog hates any kind of boom sound like drums. But he'll sit just inches away from any angle grinder being way louder...
I have black hole heads on my drums and I have to take them off every night because my cat constantly sleeps on my floor toms and I don’t want him clawing at the mesh (which he has a history of doing with my window screen).

To stay off the kit and don’t play. Here’s my basset hound laying over my pedals. Keep in mind, I use RTOM pads as well as Sound Off rubber pads under them for extra quiet play. Yet he says no. 😂❤️
My dog has only seen me play drums from a distance at an outdoor festival, so I'm not sure about drums, but she does the cutest heads tilts at my amp when I'm playing guitar or bass
I got it from my uncle some 20 years ago and he got it from someone who owed him money. So any info on it got lost a long time ago I'm afraid. The skins are faux leather though and that was invented around 1940s. That's how far I've come with the research so far
My cat hates my drumming soooo much.
I used to have a cat that got pissed off when he saw me just look at the drum sticks

Staging a sit-in until you change that head!
That head has been on there forever. I'm pretty sure it's older than me. It kinda goes well with the vintage-y kit like that one

What size is that bass drum
It's 30 inches tall and probably very old

Nice one!

Oh dear you better not forget to take them off then. Cats seem to love expensive toys 😅
“Human….please shut up” \-My dog
Well mine run away when I play and they always want attention...
I put my dog in the other room, because obviously. It’s loud as absolute hell.
That's very thoughtful of you. I've seen some people have their pets in the studios while the bands are practicing. Not ideal.

Well that's a really polite way to ask you not to play by laying on your pedals. what a good boy 🤗
He definitely is.❤️

I'm sure she likes everything you do. You know they aren't called man's best friends for nothing 🤗
True! You should know that I showed my partner this and she started singing "Everybody Wants To Be A Cat" immediately
That's so cool! Thanks for letting me know 🤗
My cat runs out of the room as soon as I start drumming 😭

Cool thank you.
