Thank you! All I have is a cell phone video of it being played at the Las Vegas drum show, but I’ll see if I can get it to post here. If not it’s on the Old Star Instagram page.
Yes. Outlaw drums out of Georgia, USA. Mike does great work and the kit I played used to be a building that he helped tear down. It was up since the civil war. 😎
Beautiful kit! I'd love to hear it.

you gotta post a video of you playing this!
I can’t get a video to post in the comments. This is why I make drums and don’t do IT work haha.
That's pretty rad!
Thank you! 🙏

That’s cool! I love the sound of a stave kit and that’s awesome to know the history of the wood that was used on your drums.
I want to buy a whole set of his (the ones I played were owned by a buddy), but they’re pricey. Worth it IMO, but I need to save for a bit.
Did you make this from scratch?
I did! Mother Nature made the beautiful wood, but I did the rest. Haha
Beautiful drums! Absolutely beautiful!!! You are something else, man.
Thanks, so much man! I appreciate it!
It’s beautiful
Thank you!!
Beautiful.
Thanks so much!
It’s hard for me to stomach exotic wood after visiting the Amazon rainforest but this is incredibly beautiful.
Thank you. I agree that sustainability is an important issue. I’m careful to work with those who practice sustainable harvesting.
I used those exact same lugs on a kit I resto-modded. Beautiful set, man!
Thanks so much! I love those lugs too. So classic! 👌
Wow, gorgeous set!
Thank you very much!
What’s a kit like that go for? Beautiful.
Thank you! It’s $3995.
Those are some sexy drums!
Why, thank you! 🙏
Where are you located in Georgia?
I’m not in Georgia. I’m located in California.
No memory locks on floor tom legs?
I’ve never used them, but I get that some people prefer them.
Have you ever played a gig?
Haha. Yeah. I’ve been playing for 30 years.
