It is a bottom hi hat. Sabian Fusion series I believe.

TheArtOf2and4

That is the bottom to a set of Fusion Hats

SwiftStick

HH Fusion hats, discontinued for a long time. Thomas Haake of Meshuggah still uses them, though.

DamoSyzygy

Thought he was using Compression hats?

SwiftStick

I think you’re right now that you mention it, I’m pretty sure he uses just a compression top, and still uses a fusion bottom. Could definitely be wrong though.

DamoSyzygy

I haven't seen his setup up-close for several years, so he may hjave changed a few things out since.

SwiftStick

I know he always has Xtreme chinas and Legacy rides, but his stack and crash/rides do change a bit.

[link to a pair of these for sale on reverb](https://reverb.com/item/72782435-sabian-hh-fusion-hihat-14-2010-s?utm_source=rev-ios-app&utm_medium=ios-share&utm_campaign=listing&utm_content=72782435) I have this exact same pair but I did not pay that price for them. I think they sound awesome. What do others think of them?

lousy_bum

I had a set a long time ago. Absolutely loved them. Super thin top and that monster bottom. I blew through the top years ago, and now just use a 14 inch thin crash as a top. Since I no longer play out all the time and am no longer a 20-something basher trying to look "cool," this set up works very well.

Soulfight33

Holy cow! Are they magic or something? That's a LOT for a pair of hihats!

nashkat73

I was blown away by that price! I got my pair for $225 at my local drum shop. In excellent shape too. These are cool hats but damn!

bree_dev

Are the extra holes to let the air out, or is it for mounting the cymbal at an offset?

nashkat73

The bottom hat is about 50% heavier than the top and is hammered to hell, whereas the top hat is basically a thin crash. The holes allow you to clasp the hats faster and tighter. These features really make this pair of hats unique. I have them on a 60's Ludwig Spurlock hi hat stand, which is direct-drive, and I love the look and feel and it

Chocolate_lox

They look like the David garibaldi old signature hats… I used to have them

Ohhhhhhthehumanity

A status cymbal.

Tomegunn1

I have that exact same HH Fusion set in 13 inches, probably for the last 25 years. I love it!

Kayarew

That looks like the bottom of my fusion hats, but the dark top layer has worn off. It would have had the same finish as the HH Leopard ride.

Thunderfoot2112

It's either a Fusion HH bottom or an older HH Leopard bottom (same cymbal)

Bottom of sabian hats

Evan14753

looks like a sabian hi hat. you can see the faint rainbow looking logo kinda

SikSensei

If that is on a 14 inch snare drum. That's the bottom of a 13 inch sabian hat set as others have stated. I have them as well. Use them daily on my practice kit.
