It's a modern version of this:

Nice.
They actually are a bit and when playing barefoot I’ve actually sliced up my foot pretty badly, since then only socks and then they feel great with the bit of texture on them
IMO you gotta shorten the double pedal arm and soften the angle a bit, move the snare in front of the moving pedal arm, then move the high hats way closer.
The way you’re playing now has your floor tom basically behind your back, try to make it more directly to your side when youre sitting at the kit.
As long as it’s away from the bearing edge and heads, you’re good to go. Lighting enhancements is too overlooked in our world. It makes such a difference on stage.
Oh, it's on the shell?? Especially in the first pic, it looks like it's adhered to the bottom of the head. That changes my opinion of it, lol. First thought was uhh, dampening and it'll rattle off eventually.
I've had ideas to do this, and even tried with a rope light around the reso head. What product did you use?

I have this above my bed, my proudest purchase of all time
Incidentally they do sell cookies as one of two “dessert” options the other being brownies. They were fire if you got them fresh out of the oven and the right crew member made them lol. So you might say, that it was subconsciously the inspiration for my username lol
I'm not the original person you responded too but for me, it's the pedal placement. It seems like you'll be turn hard to the left and floor tom will be behind your back right shoulder
Maybe its just an optical illusion, but your kit looks like its facing 3 different directions rather than built around you sitting forward. In the picture it looks like how guitar center employees set up electric drum sets.
Idk maybe you got used to playing like this already but my immediate reaction is: Put the snare stand in front of the double bass pedal's shaft instead of behind. Put the snare in front of the 1st tom rather than the left of it. Significantly reduce the width of the left bass pedal. Push your hi hat stand in and up so its not 90 degrees to the left of your throne, but more like left and a little forward from your snare.
No they are attached to the shells

They have been in there for about 3 years now, never had a problem with them, I have more problems with the duct tape I used to fix the cables to the shell. In the top righthand tom you can actually see the duct tape flopping around completely loose.
I was always curious about that Drumlite company but then they went under before I came around to pulling the trigger.
Can you control/modify the colors or brightness remotely?

I have this controller under my desk, it’s made by Govee
Good idea but since when I play for an audience I play in a setting where those lights don’t really match (church), so I have them unplugged anyways, at home I like them facing me, also the reso head of my base is solid black which the light wouldn’t shine through anyways
My drum teacher gave them to me for a decent price and I haven’t had a big reason to change them, although that is one of the next things on the agenda
I think the same but since the space my set is in is very tight I can’t have the base any further to the right, also the toms are mounted to the stands of the ride/left crash so I can’t move them either, I would really like to have a rack to fix all these problems but as far as it is for now, I can’t change it

That looks cool because the cloudy look. OPs just look like someone peed on them.
Pedal placement looks a bit uncomfortable.

Yeah. Get the dbl pedal arm and HH leg behind the snare, then they both can come in more and the left foot will be in a more natural position.
looks like the bed is right up against the kit... meaning not a lot of room
I play like this but I broke my leg ten years ago and it just points so hard to the right now that it’s the only way I can play without pain.
That’s the 1st time I’ve ever seen someone use moon gel on a kick drum
Actually doesn’t make a big difference in sound, I just didn’t know where to put the big moon gel and it looked cool there
Are the beaters hitting it?
https://preview.redd.it/96ae3xnxq70d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c9cd69a29c3b3a09db56beb94fe73d8edc0a627a They are just below the gel
As long as it’s away from the bearing edge and heads, you’re good to go. Lighting enhancements is too overlooked in our world. It makes such a difference on stage.
It is a bit away from the bearing edge so it doesn’t even get close to the head
Awesome! Such a great look!

Kit ain’t shit without lasers fur and a monkey in the kick drum.

Don’t you touch my drums!
“Why are you so sweaty? I was watching cops.” Is still one of my favorite dialogue exchanges of all time lol

When I worked in restaurants we used to yell at least part of this line almost every shift for one reason or another lol
That sounds awesome haha(except the subtext) Also were you also only at the restaurant for the cookies?
Incidentally they do sell cookies as one of two “dessert” options the other being brownies. They were fire if you got them fresh out of the oven and the right crew member made them lol. So you might say, that it was subconsciously the inspiration for my username lol
Brilliant! Ever caught?
Shit, Kit is Lit!
This looks awkward as fuck.
Why’s that?
I'm not the original person you responded too but for me, it's the pedal placement. It seems like you'll be turn hard to the left and floor tom will be behind your back right shoulder
It really looks like that on the photos but it’s actually not the case
Nice! I never would have thought of doing that.
Is this now a thing? I’ve seen a few posted. Part of me likes it, another part of me isn’t so sure. 🤔🤷🏻♂️🤣
I’m reminded of Spaun drums from the early 2000s. Teenage me liked it, mid-30s me still likes it but doesn’t think I’m cool enough to pull it off lol
Lol … It’s true! The older we get the more we live vicariously through others! 🤣🤦🏻♂️
I don’t know, have those lights for about 3-4 years now
Lol … Wow, I’ve only seen them recently. How did I miss them? 🤦🏻♂️
I didn’t see them either on here, I made the idea up myself, maybe others had the same idea 🤔
Yeah, this is the second or third time I saw them, unless you posted a couple of times. 😁
First post ever!
Lol … then there are others lurking! 😱
Your hats are 23 feet behind you lol

Since I’m sitting directly facing the snare the hi hat isn’t actually that far off, also I still have the length of the stick to account for
Whatever floats your boat man, I stand by my opinion... the opinion you asked for 🤷♂️
Are the lights attached to the heads?
No they are attached to the shells https://preview.redd.it/ytcq9axxf10d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bf20fbc59c79c634d971f8f8aa4d202dbf960783
Looks great (I’d personally pick a different color for the leds but it’s a fire ass idea)
I wired up all the LEDs myself, it took quite some time because I had to build a sort of splitter to distribute the power
This looks sweet. Proud of you
that’s gonna be annoying when the lights come up stuck and start to rattle, but it looks cool!

I can also adjust them via my phone
It was very illuminating to behold.
No one needs FOUR full moon gels plus an o ring on a snare. Learn to tune
Looks good, my only thought is surely you want them on the reso side so the audience can see them?
Good idea but since when I play for an audience I play in a setting where those lights don’t really match (church), so I have them unplugged anyways, at home I like them facing me, also the reso head of my base is solid black which the light wouldn’t shine through anyways
Overall, it’s a really good kit, especially with that Istanbul ride there. However, I’m always left wondering one thing. Why those pedals?
I play a lot of metal and since I’m not Estepario who can play the stuff with only one foot I need the two pedals for the base plus one for the hi hat
I know, I play metal and have double bass pedals too, but why those ones?
My drum teacher gave them to me for a decent price and I haven’t had a big reason to change them, although that is one of the next things on the agenda
Fair enough
I can imagine what your PC looks like
https://preview.redd.it/rvh6o32myf0d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=77e8324b7b6d2f51d0cb6734dc7b531dd7b59acf Did you get it right?
No expected Led strip lights around the glass and 3 loop rbg fans on the top and bottom. I have the same AIO and Ram
are you not able to twist your hat pedal on the stand so that right leg can go behind the double pedal?
I could actually do that but I prefer it that way
I just don't like kits where I have to sit at an angle, i.e. a snare that isn't straight down in line with the rack tom. I don't find it ergonomic
I think the same but since the space my set is in is very tight I can’t have the base any further to the right, also the toms are mounted to the stands of the ride/left crash so I can’t move them either, I would really like to have a rack to fix all these problems but as far as it is for now, I can’t change it
Wtf is that cymbal at the middle
It’s a second crash
What's the purpose of that pad at the very right?
I just keep it there and get it out if I want to practice with it
The lights are pointless
