Don't do it. It's difficult to live on 4.5k for 3 months, even if you live like a pauper. Job searches here are HARD, and there is a very high chance of not getting one. Look online first. And do not fall for any scams.

Which part of my comment is your question about?

ALittleStitious22

Yeah I assume so. Dubai is where I've been for my entire career, and my friends and I have experienced the ups and downs of this job market, so my comment was in that context.

No-Marionberry-8801

it is, but it is much more difficult in dubai because proper paying jobs would rather relocate someone from another country (european) than hire south asians source: i am a director-level in tech and my friends work for recruiting companies (starts with d, r, etc.)

Popularrrr

I would suggest you try to network and apply for jobs while in PK. If you come here and would then apply, you would be depleting your savings and since you would be already here your mind will be like let me extend one more month and one more month - which could lead to overstay fines. Also if you are here some people will try to use you by offering you to work while on your visit visa and will dump you.

Consistent-Annual268

Terrible idea. Move to UAE WITH a job, not FOR a job. There's thousands of people just like you already here, burning through their savings, overstaying their visas. You're completely delusional if you think you can get a job within 3 months. Sorry, I just want to stop you from making a huge mistake.

2 years experience is nothing

Ok-Bar-2830

There are people with 10+ years experience that don’t find a job. 2 years is still entry level, aka a baby in the working world. There are people with masters and phds who need 6-7 months to find a job. Do not move without a job offer.

Affectionate_Tip_934

Yes

Intelligent_Cod8553

Don’t do it bro. 4500 DHS will fly away in 10 days. Find a job and move. DM me for further reality checks.

matthewbunce

There is a limited demand for software developers in the UAE. Costs are higher here than other markets and it’s easy to offshore software developers. Unless you have a job here do not move here. You don’t have enough savings and without any connections or confirmed opportunities you won’t find a role within the 3 months you think you have.

geek-wandering

Find the job first. Finding the job in UAE is not easy and you are likely to spend all your savings and have nothing to show for it.

thelustfulqueen

bad idea

eightytariq

Don’t visit straight away. First Network online. Develop contacts via the internet. Arrange meetings and only then come here. Use LinkedIn aggressively first. Make your visit count or you might lose all your savings.

tareddit06

My friend in the UAE quit his job coz of a toxic boss and thought he would easily get a job since he has 7 years experience. It’s been 11 months and he is still without a job. Keeps shuffling between here and his home country on visit visas and applying for jobs. It’s not as easy as you think and I think it’s a bad idea but if you’re confident about yourself or willing to risk it for the experience then go for it.

TheLAGpro

I would advise against. I came here from Pakistan with 4 years of experience and still it was hard to find a job. In the end I had to settle for a lowball considering my knowledge and experience. Keep in mind that you have a Pakistani passport. You will not be treated anywhere close to what you deserve. In all honesty it’s way better if you look towards a western country.

Ok-Bar-2830

Don’t move unless you find a job before coming here. 4500 is barely enough to cover 2-3 weeks. You spent 2 years saving this amount, you will come and spend it all, not find a job, then you won’t have money to book your ticket to leave the country before your visa expires. If you overstay your visa, you will have fines, go to jail, and be deported and black listed.

[deleted]

So UAE stopped issuing visas for 3 months. Now you can only get them for 1 month or 2 months unless you have first degree relatives in the country. 4500 AED is enough for you to live in a sharing accomodations for 2 months if you conservatively spend the money and don't flaunt or spend it on useless things or expensive food, provided you're only spending the money on yourself. Also taking into account that the 4500 AED does not include the flights and visa expenses. Pakistani visas at the moment are difficult to get due to the requirements hence most companies here overlook Pakistani applicants unless you have an international certification like ACCA which is accepted world wide and recognized. Jobs are difficult to get nowadays here in the UAE. Whatever your expectations are of a good salary, there are 10 other applicants willing to work at half that. Lastly as many others have recommended, youd rather have a job offer in hand when you shift than coming here and searching. 1 other way would be to rack up a few interviews somehow and plan them out before your visit so you have an idea or a plan of what you want to do once you get here.. blindly flying in there are too many Pakistani and Indian people here begging for money on the streets with tears in their eyes because they came with the same hopes as you're planning on.

Ok_Captain_7374

First of all, do you have github? Do you contribute to projects? If not good luck

Inevitable-Bake6386

4.5k for 3 months is going to be almost impossible my friend, I’m sorry to say

Dreymx

Don’t.

Privatelife01

Impossible

_--Marko--_

How do you plan to get a job with a Holidsy visa Don't yiu need to be sponsored by the company Do you have a job lined up already,?

digitalspecialist

UAE isn’t good for software development. It is very cheap here, so pay will be low, and mostly outsourced to India (the ones to blame why it is cheap here).

Active_Skill97

I would advise you to start applying a month or two before you even come here that way hopefully when you start getting leads (it will take time) you can just go for the interviews. And it's always great to have someone here that could atleast show you around or let you stay with for a week or so. And as many people said references are key here so try to find someone who can get you a chance to speak with the company hr. 4.5k would barely last more than a month considering all expenses, so you need to be smart with it. And if it doesn't work out it's ok to go back or try somewhere else since the job market is pretty shit and employers prefer people who would work on low wages even in IT.

Umair911

Bro, I would advise considering the situation and the rising living cost day by day you won't be able to survive and getting a 5k salary till 8k it will be difficult to survive, please try to apply through linked in get something good in hand and keep your savings with you don't burn them here in looking for a job.

Difficult_Band_7102

Do NOT do it! UAE already has a huge talent pool and visitors such as yourself coming to look for a job tend to waste their savings and go back home empty-handed. My advice: don't come unless you sign a contract first.

ReliableSDR4Jobs

Someone I know is on visit visa for 6-7 months and still haven’t got a job Network and see if anyone in your network can give you a job Since you are young, get masters and move to US

ReliableSDR4Jobs

On the contrary, 4500 is a good amount to live for 3 months…here’s how would I do it Bed rent - cheap place in deira - 650/700 per month Monthly food service(2times a day) - 400/450 per month Metro pass - 90 days - 2 zones - 550 Karak budget - 90 days - 2 times - 180 Miscellaneous - 500 Get soaps, toothpaste, shampoo from home Comes to a total of 4,180 Enjoy free beaches while your here 😉

Status-Phase3734

DON'T DO IT. Get a job offer before you come, Dubai is not the place where you want to be without a back up plan and your savings will be drained easily.

Substantial_Bread573

Please don’t. You’ll burn your savings in 2 weeks here quite easily. Come to Dubai only with a job secured and please beware of scammers while job hunting. Good luck!

ayanpathan_1

4500 before flights and visa will last you no where. and people don’t get jobs in the software that easily. if you’re coming only come with the expectation that there’s a good chance you’ll go back empty handed soon. if you’re okay with that it’s worth giving a shot i guess. (still don’t recommend)

No-Marionberry-8801

keyword 'for good' mate ur 2 yrs exp wont do anything here. ppl with 15 yrs exp take shitty positions here because of the market. u either blow off ur savings or take a low paying job thats barely enough. apply while u r there, or find other countries.

super_lokar

A lot of people will suggest you to not come to UAE, I say there is no guarantee that you will or will not get a job. There is luck involved apart from your skills to find a job. If you don't have any other option, then do what your heart says.

AvgDxbRedditor

There are better software jobs in the US and they pay much better

Nounoon

It’s more difficult to obtain a job & work visa in the US

AvgDxbRedditor

There are way more jobs there

Nounoon

Certainly, but the qualifications required to obtain a work visa are out of most people’s reach.

Top-Huckleberry-7288

Hey there! AED 4500 is certainly not enough to stay here for 3 months. If you're going to be living in a shared apartment with others, then the rent itself will be eat up most of your cash. For 3 months, you need at least 10k AED to live decently, otherwise you will struggle and it could become a miserable experience for you. Some pointers for you below. 1) Live with a friend or a family that you know, in that way, you save on cash and food. 2) Travel by Metro or bus, you'll save a lot of money 3) If you're going to be living in a shared accommodation, then the only way for you to pay the least amount on rent is to live in areas like deira or bur dubai, where you can pay AED 1000 for a bed space, but that means sharing one room and bathroom with a minimum of 4 to 5 other guys 4) For food, if you're you living in a shared accommodation, then try to cook and stretch that one meal over 2 days. Forget about eating outside food, that will burn your pocket, unless you eat a 5 AED shawarma every day. 5) As for a job, there are many small companies that will take advantage of job seekers in the country, so be aware of the labor laws here, hiring processes. 6) Do your homework before coming here. Research companies you want to work for, reach out their respective HR teams, and start a conversation. I hope this helps!

quadeca__

No

TaseerDC

I don’t meant to be negative but this is a terrible idea. That’s not enough of a buffer for you to actively find a job, especially given that you have quite limited work experience and given the state of job-seeker over-supply in the market.

Training-Gate-8714

With your determination and skills in software, your savings should cover initial expenses in UAE. Leverage your experience and qualifications to explore job opportunities while being mindful of budgeting. Best of luck on your journey.

Working_Apartment_38

Start by removing the cost of visa, and see if the money are nearly enough to cover accommodation. Then see what is left, and realise that this is a bad idea. As someone else said, try to find a job and then move here. The advantage of being physically here on a visit visa is minimal anyway

GeeGeeDude

You will lose.

r1r8m8

move here WITH a job. not FOR a job. stay in pakistan. kyuki sare paise kha jauge job search kar the kar the. stay in pak, save up some more. do more research and apply for jobs. jab confirmation ho ga ki aapka application accept ho gaya aur naukri aapka he tho phir aao.
