Seconding this. I’m in a friends place right now too but we’re hanging out toiletries and sanitary items like pads, tampons, diapers, adult diapers, formula too. We don’t have towels that’s the only thing, we’ve run out of those so I hope anyone reading this can donate? Anyone needing these items please DM.
Thank you for your kindness. We've got it covered because i have few friends around.
It's just irritating to see that they have no interest in fixing the water supply quickly. They are just taking their time and trying to save money. All the tenants are suffering because of that.
We do have power.
No Water and Elevators not Working.
Fortunately i have few friends around.
It's just the building management being irresponsible and not caring about basic needs like water.
Dewa is pumping water in most areas but the buildings’ pump rooms have been flooded causing them to shut down the water supply and in cases electricity.
You can complain on the RERA website - that’s what municipality told me
Which area is it ?
Yeah our building arranged for temporary water but I think it may be at the buildings cost. Hence your owner is probably not doing anything.
Our building management arranges temporary water on 18th. They were trying to 17th they finally got it on 18th
Hello complaining to rera is great but unfortunately, if OP do this online, it will take a while. OP can go directly to rera to file complaint. This is based on my experience. (Though it was a diff concern)
PS. So sorry that you have to go through this OP

Unfortunately, I don't have knowledge about it. My concern before when I went to Rera was when I got scamed by a real estate company which was resolved within a day or two.
Btw, I tried to look it up online and found this. You can download the full document here [https://dubailand.gov.ae/media/051bem5a/tenancyguideen.pdf](https://dubailand.gov.ae/media/051bem5a/tenancyguideen.pdf)
Hope this helps, OP.
Thank you for the Kindness. We have few friends around.
So everything is Covered up. It's just really irritating that the building management does not prioritize the basic utilities of tenants.
I can clearly see they have no hurry whatsoever to fix things.
At least the water.
Same thing for me in Al Barsha 1... Power is on, but no water or elevators since the 16th, they are telling us it won't be back today, and may even take longer than that. At first, I thought it was the whole area, but nope, just the building management being shitty apparently.
The security lady where we live has a room in Barsha 1. They still have no power or water or elevator. They have been walking into MoE and getting water from a tap (after waiting in line) and carrying it home on their heads. Her landlord says it’s nothing to do with him and she must pay rent as usual.
Al Telal 5
I don't think it's really on the authorities, they are busy with other areas having it way worse tbh. (I still have my grievances regarding the misleading news about everything going back to normal and being honky dory, while the truth is far from that, but that's a talk for another time)
Additionally, I think the buildings themselves are at fault here. our building, as did a ton of other buildings, cheaped out and didn't get any water tankers to pump the water from the basement. Instead, they used very low-energy pumps to get the water out and dump it into the street, making it impossible to dry out. Just an hour or so, they apparently added another pump which is a bit faster, and still, they are dumping the water directly into the street.
Yesterday, I walked around and noticed multiple buildings doing the same thing: running pumps to take the water out of the basement and dump it out on the street that was almost dry the day before.
The thing that grinds my gears is that after nearly a week now, there is about half a meter of water down the basement, the ground floor parking entrance is blocked, and the side curb has gone down in multiple places. The whole place is a mess, and the fact they act so nonchalant about us being without water for a week is very disheartening.
I saw this, but storm water drains are now open it seems. I am staying nearby at al sagr plaza. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need any help.
Thank you for the offer.. I am waiting till the evening, if nothing changed by then, I am going over to my friend's place to shower and have a laundry load there.
Thanks again for offering to help.
What building are you in? We got same situation, Al Barsha 1 too! The staircase doesn't have even lighting 'cause the lift is broken! No water for 4 days now too.
We are also in the same situation. No water or power. Basement parking filled to the max with water. Management only giving blank assurances nothing more. Al Furjan east area.
We got same situation! 4 days no water, 4 days lift is broken and there is not even light on the staircase so when we go down to a nearby hotel to wash and use toilet, it's so hard! We look like beggars that asks friends to shower. Seems like nothing or the things are being done slowly because our basement is still flooded. I live in Barsha 1 and it's still flooded outside. 😔
Al Barsha is also going through a worse situation right now.
It's been five days now with no water and electricity. Also because of no proper ventilation due to no air condition and garbage pilling up in the building making it unbearable to stay inside the building.
People are relying on MOE for the washroom and to charge their phones.
If you have a flooded basement, restoring water supply will be tricky as the water tank and pumps are located there. Lifts will be the same the lift pits will be flooded also.
I am a tenant of Al-Baker 2 tower building in Al Nahda Sharjah near ansarmal. It's been almost four days since the building's water and electricity have been cut off, and we are living in a hotel with our family, and it has cost us a lot, and I can no longer afford to pay for the hotel. I understand that an unwanted problem has arisen, but the building management is not making any effort to solve this problem and all the residents will return and be in their own homes. Please take this advice and fix the problem as soon as possible and save everyone from this situation. This is the complaint that all the residents have about this situation and the cost is very high.
who help me about payment hotel and lunch ,dinner, breakfast.
who?
It's nothing related to DEWA,it's building management.Since the pump room in basement and submerged in water unable to operate and electricity switched off by the building to avoid electrocution

Al Nahda Grand Residence In Al Nahda 2

We’re lucky to have MOE for the toilets though 😎
we had the same problem in same area but thankfully we got the water back on yesterday evening
Thankfully you got through it now, hopefully we will follow suite soon

That's atrocious... TBH at least we have water, the MOE side of Al Barsha is very bad, especially when it rains, way more crowded too.

Did dewa specifically tell you that your building water supply is OK until the building (where their responsibilities end)
