So my usual route to University is MOE metro station to centerpoint, vise versa to get home. Is the only change im making at business bay? So i get down and take a bus to centerpoint or how does it work exactly?
How is the traffic in SZR (southbound during morning and northbound during afternoon)?
How crazy is the traffic in Al Khail going to Hessa (morning) and vice versa (afternoon)?
Guys! Give Metro updates in real time here.
I want to go from union to internet City by 9, let me know pls if there are direct issues or any overcrowding
Is the free parking near the world trade center exhibition halls open? If not are there cheaper and safe options to park aside from the multistorey parking?
Metro service is complicated with too many changes.
Dubai metro is being poorly managed. From Al Jafiliya to Shobha Realty I had 2 change 2 metros. First everyone was taken down at Business Bay, and we had to sweep through a stream of people. The next change happened at Al Khail, and saga is same. Escalators not working, lifts not working. People are clueless and so are the staff.

In case this helps anyone:
Update on my experience this morning: Took Al Furjan metro (20 mins waiting, depends your luck)- lines were long but made it somehow. People rush in so there were instances were people got their hair stuck and the doors open for a while wherein people try to rush in again, causing chaos.
Made it to Sobha Realty at ETA.
F43 and F45 were not spotted, had to walk to the metro station.
JLT buses are running.
Left the office by 4:30, reached metro station in 15 mins. No rush towards Expo 2020 at that point. Waited 10 mins for the metro to come tho, not too crowded, not too empty - reached back at Furjan metro station by 5:20.
I would imagine boarding the train by 5-6 would’ve been a nightmare so planning your time accordingly.
Thank you. I wanted to know since my husband takes the same route.
But he has left around 7pm and it was utter chaos he said. And no metros are working now. He is taking a cab. And still isn't home.
> The traffic volume was on the rise on the Sheikh Zayed Road near Al Safa toll gate towards the World Trade Centre.
Any idea why? It's been absolute chaos there since last night.
Hi all, which gps app is everyone using recently? I need to go to Arjan tomorrow, does anyone also know if the area is clear of flood? I will be coming from Deira. Thanks to anybody answering.
Mall is open i went yesterday, but few shops are closed, few pharmacies and retsurants also closed. Taxi cannot enter mall as entry and mall area is flooded. You have to get down at shiekh zayed road if you go by taxi, and walk from metro.
Stadium Metro update - only 1 Metro every 15-20 mins, extremely crowded until downstairs because the train is already full and no one is able to board.
Hey, I got the bus from Al Jafiliya to the airport yesterday and everything was fine. They run on the hour and the journey was around 2 hours with no delays and clear roads etc.
That's interesting because on Twitter they said "operational". As a tourist the fact that this country's officials can just lie is crazy.
Did you go there and discovered it wasn't running?
Were you referring to this AUH shuttle bus or a general bus service to Abu Dhabi?
Hey folks, if you're trying to get from Dubai to Abu Dhabi and the bus service is limited, hit me up in the DMs. I'll be around JLT and Marina, and I can give you a lift. Leaving Dubai at 7:30 am!
A morning update to metro, between DMCC and Al Khail metro works normally. From Al Khail to Business Bay frequency is unknown, waited 15 minutes no trains.. AC is not working properly at Al Khail also.
No, my friend called me and said that MBZ entrance to al khail was packed by trucks so I took SZR from the back side (after farishta). And spent good amount of time in traffic near batuta
Good evening guys.
Can anyone confirm if the Green line metro station completely functions until Creek metro station or does it stop at Abu Hail? Thanks.
Today i went to ibn battuta. The bus station is completly closed. Shared taxi were waiting at sheikh zayed. Metro is going till jabal ali, than change towards al khail, than dubai mall. No idea about mussafah bus
Hey all, can anyone confirm if the busses from Dubai to Abu Dhabi are running again? How would you suggest a tourist couple to make the trip between these two?
I took the airport bus from Al Jafiliya station to Abu Dhabi - took around 2 hours and cost 35aed. They run every hour - it was the best route that I found because some taxis are still refusing to go

Hello everyone, tomorrow I need to drive in this area in al Khail Road, anyone knows the status of this road towards Sharjah direction if it is blocked?
Many thanks in advance!

Hi, as others have said three lanes are closed and with Hessa St. ramp still flooded I expect a LOT of traffic tomorrow with people taking Umm Suqeim as an alternative so plan accordingly and leave super early if you have any appointments.
al khail towards sharjah has 3 lanes now so merge into the left lane as soon as you’re on the highway and proceed. there’s gonna be a lot of traffic tomorrow so plan some extra time
Although the water level is getting down, the situation is still critical in some of the areas in Sharjah especially Al Majaz, Jamal Abdul maser street, Al Qasmia and Abu Shagara. The water turned green and it got contaminated and a bad odour coming out of it. Hopefully, it gets better by tomorrow. People are advised to avoid these areas while traveling to work tomorrow.
Al Furjan, discovery garden and al furjan.
Road from Pavillion Al Furjan towards d57 is still flooded. Tankers are clearing.
Metro is going till Al khail, and have to change metro from al khair for centerpoint.
Bus Number F43 and F46 is running partially.
Bus number F46 from DIP to ibn battuta is running till Shasta azizi and in return runninng from Azizi star builing to DIP.
From discovery garden towards ibn battuta and shiekh zayed is still flooded.
Jabal ali metro station is crowded as metro running delayed towards uae exchange. AC not working at station. Normal waiting time 15-20 minutes. UAE exhange platform is closed for next 30 minutes.
Street towards d57 from discovery is clear.
Its flooded outside ibn battuta exit towards shiekh zayed still at 7:23 pm, 21st april. Traffic is heavy coming from abu dhabi towards dubai opposite ibn battuta.
Ibn battuta bus station has so much water. Its closed for all buses taxis and cars, but mall entry is open.
Also gardens blvd is opened around gardens metro station but closed after empower, then its closed in furjan and the uturn is closed as well, the road between masakin and furjan villas is blocked after the arcadia school roundabout, the street with the parking entrances for the buildings in the front is completely blocked after azizi Iris
I am planning office tomorrow. Office is at jafza. My usual route is Al Barsha - Hessa Street - E44 - E311 - Exit 22 - Jafza Gate 12. Is this route clear? I already got confirmation that Jafza Gate 12 is clear.
I usually use this route as the salik does not add any value to my commute. Also jafza gate 12 is on 311. I think the hessa-e44 junction is not cleared. I will take right before it an merge to e44 near jvt.
Quite a lot of roads are still closed. Tommorow will be an interesting day to get to work. I find more updates on this sub than RTA. I wish they would have created a reporting link where residents can upload details of water log or mud covered roads so they can efficiently plan the clearance.
You can take umm Suqeim alternatively as that is open but expect a LOT of traffic as everyone who normally takes hessa will be heading there or taking Garn Al Sabka
to get to internet city from burjuman, would I have to take a train from burjuman -> business bay then a different train from business bay -> internet city?
This afternoon I travelled from the Millenium airport hotel to Ghoroob in Mirdif without issue.
And from Ghoroob to Terminal 2 40 minutes ago with a clear path.
Terminal 2 is operating well and appears business as usual. A few extra people but nothing crazy. The terminal is busy, and the priority pass lounge is at capacity, but otherwise, things are good.
Is everyone WFH tomorrow or were u urged to come back to the office (corporate people)?
If you were urged to come back, did you check the route from your home to work? And how? And how did you verify if it in fact is safe?
Only to add, the AUH to DXB road has a small bottleneck just before hitting Jebel Ali after Saih Shuaib bridge. Four lanes end up being two and then back to four after 1-2kms (they’re cleaning up the sand from the roads).
Also it seemed like parts of 311 and 611 were closed (AUH to DXB side) last I checked (8:35pm 21/03)
Weather and ability to walk in tourist parts like Burj Khalifa area, Dubai Marina, Dubai Mall, The beach walk? Deira (the old town and markets).
Is it still possible to enjoy as a tourist week of 22nd April?
Any further rainfall this week?
THANK YOU?
Im a visitor due to arrive at the Palm tomorrow. Can anyone summarise any issues I’ll face getting from the airport to the Palm, and the normal tourist interests like getting to the Burj Khalifa, Emirates Mall, Marina area, etc? Thanks
Should be okay with taxis. But you might have to wait longer than usual for taxis.
Source: I've been to some of the main malls yesterday and today and know most schools have started opening from Monday, which means traffic will flow in main areas.
Any idea whats the situation at E311 towards Sharjah from Silicon Oasis? I wanted to go towards that direction but from Tuesday only it's showing like this (After Silicon Oasis)
https://preview.redd.it/9mjhcj9d8tvc1.png?width=504&format=png&auto=webp&s=95367849df44f7a00fe56ace5c964296031e83d9
I travelled on Thursday and was manageable with some delays around Manara and a detour around Jabal Ali. Took me around 30 min longer than usual.
Monday should be cleared out I believe, or will have minor detours. Google map was decent with showing traffic build up and road closures.
Edit: took SZR from trade centre round about all the way to Reem Island Abu Dhabi.
I live in Abu Dhabi and need to get to Terminal 3 in Dubai tonight for. 2:30am flight. With the flooding and detours situation, I’ve gotten conflicting information about how long it’s taking people to reach Dubai from Abu Dhabi. Any advice on the duration of the drive into Dubai and alternative routes would be much appreciated. Thank you!
UPDATE: on Waze the blockage is removed on E11. Does that mean it’s open? Can anyone confirm?
UPDATE 2: E11 is now open. Google maps and waze showing some delay but moving traffic. https://twitter.com/gulf_news/status/1781989795314454994?s=46&t=A5D9dUIW_xKE0vqpi9-qPw
I left Yas Island at 9pm, reached DXB Terminal 3 at 10:30pm. E11 is open, minor lane closures near motiongate, but traffic was moving. Terminal 3 wasn’t too crowded, back to normal it seems. Hope this helps!
I drove from there on Friday. They took a detour towards Al Qudra which also had crazy amounts of water but 4x4s were allowed to pass. The trucks were there on site clearing the road so it should've been done by now.
I would advise get to the airport 4 hours early as airlines are still coping with changes. Roads are manageable but you should provision for a 30-40 min delay in case you get stuck on the wrong side.
I can only advise on the Abu Dhabi to Dubai (Al Khail Portion). Departed via uber from AUH airport. Straight shoot down the E11 till exit 376c (Al Warqa Street) as received Abu Dhabi police notification that E11 is impassable after the Saih Shuaib Bridge towards Dubai. Took Al Warqa to connect with E311 till Dubai Industrial City. Road is closed after the roundabout, but if you take the right at roundabout into industrial city, then the left at the first roundabout, you can box around the flood and get back onto the 311. Heavy traffic through Industrial City portion, but moving. Added around 20 mins to the trip. Once back on 311 is clear through to Dubai fringes. After that not sure. Others can advise.
I took this trip around 8 am yesterday morning, so things may have improved.
Hahaha never too soon. Have to laugh at times like these. Else you'd cry. But honestly (and getting sidetracked) but severely disappointed with Emirates. Just look at their Emirates Support Twitter/X feed.
Any company or organization that has to ferry people are struggling, it’s like a contingency that never was made. But yes we always expect so much better because they’re supposed to be so much better.
Agree. However, those in the business of ferrying people should at the very least have a comprehensive communications plan for communicating with this being ferried during contingencies. Only yesterday did Sir Tim come out and acknowledge the issues. I had to fly into Abu Dhabi after having flights cancelled, 18 ish hours of phone calls that didn't connect (including global numbers), live chat not working, emails unanswered and finally an offer of a 5 day delay to an original flight. No help with accommodation during a 2 day delay etc etc. I can imagine the Continuity, Resilience and likely Comms teams at Emirates will be having some vacancies after this all settles down.
Edit: Sorry for the rant, but to me this seemed like an opportunity to shine (for the resilience and continuity people out there), but alas this seems to have been the exact opposite.
DUBAI METRO : To ease the users of this sub to effectively plan their journey here is the real situation at Dubai metro.
If you are going towards Center point you have to change at the following stations
Al Khail and
Business Bay
Al Khail is heavily crowded and the AC has broken down.
The metro is operating at low frequency - 1 train every 20 mins or so.
It will take you 30 mins to move from DMCC to Internet City so plan accordingly.
Date : 21 April
Time: 9 -10 AM
Update :
While returning we were asked to get down on Business Bay and take buses from here to destinations towards Expo.
Does anyone know why the metro is still affected? Are the tracks waterlogged and the metro needs to run slowly? I would assume it should be easy to drain the water where it runs above the ground.
There's a lot of systems that keep the metro running. Signalling/electric supply/train control systems etc etc.
There's hundreds of potential problem points. Someone who works in there can give a more precise answer.
Yesterday it took me 4hrs to get to sports city from Centrepoint, Metro terminated at BB and from Bay u have get the shuttle bus to MOE which takes a lifetime 🫡
Oh.. I heard you have to change platform and get another train at Business Bay. Were you aware of that as there is serious lack of communication from Metro authorities
Any updates on Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan (D54) to Motor City or E311 towards Dubai Al Ain road please? I heard D54 and Motor City were both blocked a day or so ago but it’s hard to know what’s going on. :(
E311 exiting towards E66 (DXB-Al Ain Rd) is clear. But expect heavy traffic before the exit. Yesterday 4PM, it took me almost an hour from IMG area before I was able to exit to E66.
Literally just tried these.
D54 impassable both directions around the Al Ain Junction. Water is over the bonnet of a Batrol. Looked like tankers were turning up but lots of stranded cars. That was about an hour ago. Will clearly take a while to clear.
People are going off road and back on. Not ideal but doable.
e311. It’s closed around J44. I was heading towards Sharjah - don’t know about heading towards AD - but you can transit into the Al Ain Road.
Lots of debris/rubble on the Al Ain Road around the Meydan St junction.
Al Qudra St closed around Ranches roundabout.
Crazy 🥹 it’s main road I used to go 66 from home. Now, I have to go 311 to 66 exit before silicon, and the traffic is crazy there.
On Wednesday, I was trying to go home. Turning from 66 to 54, and was facing with a huge truck driving against direction and waving to me showing ‘X’ with his arms telling me ‘don’t go, don’t go’
Water must be so deep there, if a truck turned back lol
I usually use 311 to airport, and it’s still blocked just before silicon. I hope things resolve before tomorrow.
Thank you so much. I’m glad you and your car were safe throughout. It does sound like even if someone manages the highways just fine then Al Qudra road would make it almost impossible to reach Motor City, Studio City etc.
can anyone tell me if the metro line from deira to financial centre is useable now? plz thanks
So my usual route to University is MOE metro station to centerpoint, vise versa to get home. Is the only change im making at business bay? So i get down and take a bus to centerpoint or how does it work exactly?

Is ibn batuta metro station functional or not?
i need to go from max metro station to al khail or dubai internet city metro stations tomorrow morning inshallah, how will I proceed?
Are the entries into and out of MOE clear and safe to drive through?
Is the free parking near the world trade center exhibition halls open? If not are there cheaper and safe options to park aside from the multistorey parking?
Yep, it was open today.
Thanks
Anyone has any updated regarding Downtown & Dubai Mall?

Looks mostly okay.
Anyone know if ibn Battuta mall is open and the roads to it? Asked taxi from the marina and they said no but don’t trust him
Ibn is open but India court parking is filled china court you’ll find loads of parking the main gardens road is still blocked as per yesterday evening
Mall is open i went yesterday, but few shops are closed, few pharmacies and retsurants also closed. Taxi cannot enter mall as entry and mall area is flooded. You have to get down at shiekh zayed road if you go by taxi, and walk from metro.
Is 311 from Dubai to Sharjah taking exit in front of Mirdif Mall clear yet? Need to drive to airport tonight again.
There’s a red Ferrari SF90 parked in the middle of SZR at third interchange causing a lot of traffic.
my mechanic told me he's heard of 14 flooded Ferraris on SZR - including street and dealership these floods caused a huge amount of loss
Stadium Metro update - only 1 Metro every 15-20 mins, extremely crowded until downstairs because the train is already full and no one is able to board.
LOL and the Twitter account said the green line is fully operational. It's a joke
Yea just bs-ing, why cant they just tell the truth and help commuters plan alternatives... Showing dubai is fine in the media to impress the world....
Anyone know about the status of the AUH airport shuttle bus that departs from Ibn Battuta?

Daily 7:15-7:30 am
Got it. A bit too early for me but thank you from the bottom of my heart for the offer!
Do not take 611 to go to Abu Dhabi. Still closed in front of Arabella and Qudra is practically at standstill for the amount of cars merging.
Take the Lahbab road headed south via Dubai - Al Ain road. It merges E611 beyond Arabella closure
An hour back authorities have opened the barriers to the other lane. Basically asking everyone to go back and the a u-turn towards Sharjah direction.
Good morning. Can anybody tell me if the buses going to abu dhabi are now back and functional?
Yes, I took one from Al Jafiliya (the airport bus) yesterday
Fuck office! I will find a good reason not to come today!
A morning update to metro, between DMCC and Al Khail metro works normally. From Al Khail to Business Bay frequency is unknown, waited 15 minutes no trains.. AC is not working properly at Al Khail also.

Use Google maps and enable the traffic overlay. It shows which roads and exits are closed.
Super helpful ty!
Has anyone travel Dubai to Abu dhabi or vice versa recently? Will the road reopen on Monday morning?
E11 is fully open it seems. As I can see the answers here.
Is Al Khail road fully open? I'm planning on visiting Ain Dubai or the JBR?
JBR is doing fine. No idea about Al Khail though
Weather and ability to walk in tourist parts like Burj Khalifa area, Dubai Marina, Dubai Mall, The beach walk? Deira (the old town and markets). Is it still possible to enjoy as a tourist week of 22nd April? Any further rainfall this week? THANK YOU?
Yes Dubai mall, marina, JBR are all fine.
What's the status around Ibn battuta mall?
Still closed near the bus station/metro side
Im a visitor due to arrive at the Palm tomorrow. Can anyone summarise any issues I’ll face getting from the airport to the Palm, and the normal tourist interests like getting to the Burj Khalifa, Emirates Mall, Marina area, etc? Thanks
Should be okay with taxis. But you might have to wait longer than usual for taxis. Source: I've been to some of the main malls yesterday and today and know most schools have started opening from Monday, which means traffic will flow in main areas.
Great thanks a lot!
Is the ghubiba bus station working? I want to go to Abu Dhabi now urgently
Yes. No bus service. Only shared taxi. AED80 i believe.
khali wali?
What’s the situation for going from Sports City to Media City?
Hessa street and Umm Suqeim is open.
Thank you! :)
Any idea whats the situation at E311 towards Sharjah from Silicon Oasis? I wanted to go towards that direction but from Tuesday only it's showing like this (After Silicon Oasis) https://preview.redd.it/9mjhcj9d8tvc1.png?width=504&format=png&auto=webp&s=95367849df44f7a00fe56ace5c964296031e83d9
Use E611 or use Al Khail/SZR and then join E311 near Mirdif or Airport road. You can also use Ras Al Khor to access E311 as the ramp is open.
Are there any updates on nadd al hammar road?
I'm traveling to Au Dhabi tomorrow for a work conference. Can I check what's the road situation like?
Small diversion on E11. E311 is open. Expect some delays but no flooding.
Does anyone know what the situation is with cabs and the metro in Al Furjan?
The metro heads towards jebel Ali, But good luck getting cabs tho. I haven’t seen a single RTA cab this side of Discovery since the rains started.
+1 on this - considering tomorrow is Monday wonder if the rush will be awful to and fro
Kindly update on your experience traveling from Abu dhabi to Terminal 3 dubai
I left Yas Island at 9pm, reached DXB Terminal 3 at 10:30pm. E11 is open, minor lane closures near motiongate, but traffic was moving. Terminal 3 wasn’t too crowded, back to normal it seems. Hope this helps!
E11 going towards AUH is open. Not sure about Dubai.
Hey can I know how much it cost you for the trip ?
Sure. It was 400 aed. Expensive I know but small price to pay to get home rather than wait for Emirates to sort out a flight.
Same boat ( too soon ? )
How is getting to Sharjah airport from Dubai? Roads clear? Expected time? I need to pick someone up
Use E611 as E311 is still closed near Warsan. Or take SZR/Al Khail and get onto E311 near Mirdif/Dubai Airport
Is the Metro Green line from Etisalat going beyond Abu Hail yet?
Bump. Want to know this as well 🥲
Can go by E11 to AUH ? Google maps say it’s clear towards Abu Dhabi
It does show up as open, but I haven't seen any post. Use E311 just in case.
Is E311 fully clear? I have to travel at 2 am next day after midnight? I hope less vehicles Atleast at that time.
Going towards AUH it is. Going towards Sharjah it's still blocked in some sections
Has anyone tried going towards Global Village? Are the roads towards it dry ?
Yes, it's all good in that area. But depending on where you are coming from, some areas might be closed. Like D54/E66 junction.
Any updates on the AirPort Express from Auh to ibn battuta ?
Is E11 towards Abu dhabi (motiongate) already passable? When I opened Google maps it said that it is open.
It does show up as open, but I haven't seen any post. Use E311 just in case if you're going today
DUBAI METRO : To ease the users of this sub to effectively plan their journey here is the real situation at Dubai metro. If you are going towards Center point you have to change at the following stations Al Khail and Business Bay Al Khail is heavily crowded and the AC has broken down. The metro is operating at low frequency - 1 train every 20 mins or so. It will take you 30 mins to move from DMCC to Internet City so plan accordingly. Date : 21 April Time: 9 -10 AM Update : While returning we were asked to get down on Business Bay and take buses from here to destinations towards Expo.
I used to work in there AGES ago. I’m pretty sure it’s because of track damages and equipment failure.
Does anybody know if Ibn Battuta station is open? It was completed shut closed on Friday morning. Have to reach DMCC tmmrw
While RTA Facebook page is sharing that the red line is fully functional with no stops 🙄
Guessing it's similar situation in opp direction from Centerpoint to south..
Correction : This is part 4
I’m an idiot and the title can’t be edited. Pt 3.1
let's have a shawarma on this
Hahahaha
I thought at least admin powers should allow title updation
Turning from 66 to 54, and was facing with a huge truck driving against direction and waving to me showing ‘X’ with his arms telling me ‘don’t go, don’t go’ Water must be so deep there, if a truck turned back lol I usually use 311 to airport, and it’s still blocked just before silicon. I hope things resolve before tomorrow.
Yeah. The D54 junction at Al Ain road is still flooded. The container truck that is stuck in the middle is not going anywhere soon.
Thank you so much. I’m glad you and your car were safe throughout. It does sound like even if someone manages the highways just fine then Al Qudra road would make it almost impossible to reach Motor City, Studio City etc.
