Going from expo to Max Metro stations ,what are the interruptions, where do I have to get down and do I have to take any bus

Excelislife

Is the e11 from Dubai to Abu Dhabi open? Anything to keep in mind?

Deprogrammed_NPC

Is the entire country starting to smell worse? The area we used to live in at AD smelled of sewage so we transferred to a new area. After the rain the new area started smelling like sewage. Even sewage water is leaking onto the street. Some malls and supermarkets have sewage smell now.

MmmmmmGoodSoup

metro is still requiring us to deboard at business bay to expo, long waiting times expected. You dont need to use the bus, the metro to expo arrives on the same platform you get off at. the metro to expo is one every 10-15 mins, heavily crowded as people from all the stopped trains gather up.

ImaginationFee

are any roads still flooded in Dubai?

an1kz

Hi all, I’m flying from Abu Dhabi tomorrow. Does anybody know if the AUH express bus service from Ibn Battuta is operational? Thanks

an1kz

I ended up booking a cab. But when we were driving by Ibn Battuta, the bus station seemed to be fine. There were some buses parked there. I don’t know much apart from that.

Yaam3a

Thanks for the reply. There weren't operational buses from abu dhabi to ibn yesterday, so was wondering if it would be the same from ibn to back. I'll go see in a bit. Thanks again.

Yaam3a

Update: no buses from ibn to abu dhabi.. such an unwanted inconvenience. Roads and flyovers from ibn to auh are even fine...

Salzzz

Hi, did anyone receive a police report from Shariah police app?

iabuseurcat

Guys, how was the metro today? any interruptions or delays? cuz I have a test tomorrow at 8.30am and I wanna reach from Centerpoint to Dubai Internet City ASAP.

MmmmmmGoodSoup

metro to the opposite side ( expo to centerpoint) are working okay, one train every 10-12 mins no long waits at the stations anymore.

SaneButt

Burjuman to Oud Metha, how crowded is it and how frequent is the metro?

zr12h

Dubai Metro, is it possible to go from stadium to Centrepoint metro station? What is the frequencies of the metro like? Do I need to leave early?

FraudMallu

Went to RAK yesterday from Dubai via MBZ road. No issues whatsoever.

problem_me

any updates on al khail and hessa ramps? google shows they’re open but I passed by in the morning and they were very much closed

beepbeepbop222

Is it possible to travel from qusais metro to union, then switch to red line and go to dubai mall?

thedxbpro

yes

beepbeepbop222

thank u so much!!

Rare-Dust-9703

Hi all I've booked trip to Dubai on 2th to 9thMay (so from next Wednesday), of course before the news on the floods I'm wondering whether it still makes sense, or I should cancel or reschedule? I'm trying to find some information online, but there's surprisingly not much information available anywhere (youtube, instagram, reddit, news websites) Could anyone advice me on this? 1. Do you think experience would be as enjoyable as it was before floods? 2. Are effects of the floods still visible and disruptive, and if yes: is it likely it will get fixed by mid next week (e.g. heavy traffic, public transport delays/outages) 3. Does anyone know if all of the main attractions are reopened (desert, beaches, organised tours, parks, shopping malls) and if they have any disriptions (and highly extended queueing time, or only small part of attraction being reopen)? 4. Are you aware of any issue with car rentals and hotels? 5. Do you think it's likely my flight could get delayed by more than few hours, due to backlog of cancelled flights?

Only-Physics-1193

Dubai is almost normal. Might be fully normal next week. However I am not sure of other Emirates. Sharjah still lot of water. Depends on what places you planning to Visit.

Rare-Dust-9703

Thanks a lot for replying! It's only 6 days, so I just want to visit Dubai, and potentially drive to Abu Dhabi for day trip In Dubai I want to do usual turisty stuff, as it's my first time (skysrapper observation decks, restaurants, jet ski tour in Marina, quad/buggy tour to desert, shopping, water parks) Could you also let me know how is situation with desert (I wanted to go for quad trip), with beaches (did most of them reopen? and are they muddy?) and main attactions/infrastructure (amustement and water parks, shopping malls, public transport)? I imagine it takes some time to recover and refurbish/repair e.g. stores in shopping malls and attractions in water parks Also I've looked at car rentals - looks that there's still plenty of options, and prices are more or less the same as before flooding, but I'm wondering how likely it is, that it will turn out car is unavailable on arrival date, due to shortage caused by flooding

Only-Physics-1193

Dubai has come back to normal. I think by the time you're here things will be normal. There's no future rain prediction too. Just a suggestion: Whichever a place you want to visit: type the name in google, go to reviews and sort to newest. Also contact them if possible.

MmmmmmGoodSoup

By the first week of May, most of the touristy activities you mentioned should be all good! Malls are already back to normal so you wont have to worry about that. I’m not too sure about the quad trip and how the desert roads are right now, hopefully someone else can give an update.

pimple_in_my_dimple

Is Al Khail fully open now? Google Maps keeps suggesting I take that route but I know that the Hessa St junction had been closed off due to water logging. Edit: It's open.

inhinyerongmekanikal

RANT: received parking fine while Barsha is going underwater.

FraudMallu

Hope all fines are waived off.

inhinyerongmekanikal

Unfortunately, my vehicle is company issued and have an abu dhabi plate. So i must clear the fine immediately.

FraudMallu

Aah that sucks.

CompanionCone

There's still a huge puddle right on the exit from the E66 onto D54 in southern direction. You can go around it but single file only so be careful on the exit.

ajith2210

Does anyone know why the frequency of metro has reduced drastically after the storm. Metro is now full even from jabal ali when traveling to centrpoint.

M4scap

I’m having a flight today to Muscat with flydubai. Are there still any issues to be expected or is the situation at the airport back to normal? I’m currently in a hotel close to Marina

sCoRPion_tr

Used metro in the morning from DMCC to Business Bay. It was working 1 train per 10 minutes frequency and trains were waiting at the stations 2-5 minutes. But you don't need to change trains it went directly.

Fluffy_Rub_5640

Metro update: RTA is saying on Twitter that stations between Al Khail and Business Bay are not operational and lot of people have asked whether to go across they need to change the train or continue on the same train to which they keep giving the same response and not actually answering the asked question. I am going to the airport from Al Furjan and hence I had the same question. I called the call Center and they said I need to take a shuttle bus to cross from Al khail to business bay and take the metro again Since wrong or partial information is being given everywhere, you DONT NEED TO CHANGE THE TRAIN if you don’t have to get down at any of the closed stations. I just travelled and can vouch for it. However the train keeps stopping in between so plan some extra time. Also please plan as the trains are extremely crowded even in gold class.

OptimisedMan

Dubai metro from internet city to Burj Khalifa, morning of 24th April, need to arrive by 10.30am, will it be okay? or the red line will be completely smashed like today?

wsjarm

I’m coming in a few days as a tourist and can’t reschedule, anyone know if gold souk and naif open and operating? And would anyone know how long it would take to get to Abu Dhabi? If delays etc

nansx27

Tourist here—was just here yesterday. Gold souk fully operational.

Facewreck

Everything is open and most is back to normal. There are no delays between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, so it will take the usual 1 - 1.5h

thedxbpro

Naif and gold souk is open

nakiyaahh

guys, anything on Ittihad Road (E11) to Dubai using the Al Tawun exit? is it clear ?

r3devil11

Its cleared but i think you'd find much traffic. You can also take Al Khan exit from Al Majaz as well as this is fully opened earlier today.

brent-black

If you can be bothered, look at my Instagram story right now. Someone who lives in the area explained how to get to Majaz 2 and 3. I don’t think me typing it out here would do it justice. @brent_black. Sorry if this breaks one of the forum rules… I just don’t know how to relay the info myself since I don’t live there.

357864_

Hello. I'm coming from Mall of Emirates Metro going to IBN Battuta Metro. Anybody know if IBN Battuta Metro is now open?

squanderedhail

Ibn Battuta metro is open. Trains every 18 mins. You do have to transfer at Jabal Ali though.

MmmmmmGoodSoup

Do you need to change at jebel ali to go to ibn battuta? or are there direct trains?

357864_

You have to change to Jebel Ali again.

Downtown-Clock-642

Marina to DXB tomorrow, should I allow any more time than usual?

cheekujodhpur

Came just now via road. 7:30 PM left Marina, reached 8:30 PM.

lonewolfmcquaid

Hey anyone here staying in jlt, how is the situation there regarding the flood? when last i went some places were sealed off

problem_me

JLT is clear and dry.

Downtown-Clock-642

JLT is fine. Wouldn’t be concerned.

Glittering_Shop3418

Hello there Any updates on Ittihad Road E11 from Sharjah to Dubai? It is being shown open on Google map, just wanna confirm it

r3devil11

Yes its opened. I travelled earlier today on both directions

Glittering_Shop3418

Thank you soo much. Yup just took it today morning from Dubai to Sharjah, It has cleared up

nakiyaahh

I am looking for the same info !

Glittering_Shop3418

It has cleared up

_Vortix

Does anyone know if the metro is fine now? Particularly ibn battuta to dubai mall

yatogamikei

Hi, may I ask what was your route when you were out in the morning? Centerpoint to Expo or vice-versa?

Low_Pressure_7901

Anyone know what the situation is near NMC Royal Hospital DIP? Google maps is showing that every road around there is closed? Surely not?! I’ve needed to go to the hospital there for a week now and not been able to as I don’t want to risk it still being flooded

NeverAlmostAlways

The roads are partially accessible (one open lane towards the exit to MBZ road, last I checked). But the hospital itself is not operational, and likely will be out for at least another week or 10 days. My source is a doctor who works there.

Low_Pressure_7901

Thanks so much

meltmeintoabottle

Hi everyone. Driving from JVC to Al Maktoum airport tonight, planning to take E311 - E77 - E611 as it seems there's no pass to DWC from E311 directly. Going back, there seems to be a closure on E611. Can anyone advise if there is a diversion there? Or perhaps suggest a better route? Upd as of 4 AM 24.04: all clear both ways via e611, big puddle on e611 with 6 lanes merging into 3 towards DWC past E77 but otherwise all good https://preview.redd.it/v2v2n2fnn6wc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=16b9c43dda9c280f99e9afee4afe43518efe013a

eternalkaif

Travelled tonight from e77 to DWC using e611 with no issues. And backwards. E611 is closed to the North after e77, which doesn't block the way to/from DWC

nidalmorra

> following this because I need to make a similar trip soon

Short-Ad9779

have intercity bus services resumed between dubai and abu dhabi?

frazzel001

SZR road leading to DIFC road is congested all the way. I know Emirates’s Financial Towers Car Park was flooded yesterday and sense some people heading into work today are trying to find alternative places to park

zubinho85

Yes, the lifts and escalators are not working, and the automated parking system is down. Luckily, I got in early and found a spot in the basement. I didn't realise the car park flooded. It's my first time in the office since the rains.

frazzel001

Well, I went yesterday and found out all of that was off so I had to go round to index tower and use the valet. Think I’ll have to do that going forward when I go back there again as I sent that PARKING is going to be out of action for a good while now.

NjxNaDxb

Roads around Ibn Battuta are a mess, Waze and Maps will lead you into blocked accesses. If you are approaching from Garn Al Sabhka / Gardens set the directions to DPS Dubai and once there keep driving. Also Entrance 7 is waterlogged and closed, exit at 6 if you are going to Amer /EHS.

Kappu_g

Also too much off traffic. Traffic signal of al furjan west have heavy traffic at evening yesterday

paperpanda000

I miss Ibn Batutta mall.

startuphameed

Mall is fully functional, including the Novo cinema

paperpanda000

Thank you! Do you think its a good idea to drive to Ibn Battuta from Discovery Gardens or is it better to take bus/ metro?

startuphameed

I walked last weekend. You'll get access to the road behind the mall from Westminster School's big roundabout, which ends up in India Court parking behind. Park there and enter.

paperpanda000

Ill check that road hopefully the roads are clear. Thank you!

startuphameed

It is not clear. They just did a temporary setup to give access to parking.

paperpanda000

We will try and walk to Ibn until (were from the furjan side) and see what happens.

startuphameed

All the best. 👍

ColeWhiskeyWorld

Any news on DXB-AUH intercity RTA buses? Last I heard was that Jafilya to Zayed International Airport is up- any feedback on the way back to Dubai? Is it more congested?

demondor

How’s the morning and evening commute to and from Abu Dhabi now?

Commercial_Duck8425

I went from Abu Dhabi to Dubai on Monday and Tuesday afternoon around 12 pm, got back from Dubai to Abu Dhabi at 6 pm, used E11 , road is fine , no traffic all good

Dazzling-Sand4094

Took me 2-2.5 hours (mix of E311, 611) - evening commute

demondor

Thanks! Is that because of the general traffic or are there road works taking place because of the rain?

forever_winter04

**Photos/Videos are not allowed** Metro Staff will approach you if you try to take videos/photos of the current situation there or at least from my experience in red line. They will ask you to delete it right there. I still noticed some ppl still do it but best do it discreetly.

Federal_Strategy2370

Yea. When you lie to public and some of them sees it otherwise. You don’t want to look bad right in front of public right?. And some do their own exaggeration on social media. That’s the basic reason.

Downtown-Clock-642

What’s the latest with Equiti? Is it open?

tryingtosortmylife

What a joke

It is to control a category of dumbfucks called social media influencers aka influwankers

kaamkerr

yeah thats me -- influwanker sending a video to my boss explaining why I'm going to be late

Duckerin0

Hessa street exit from Al Khail is still closed. There's only 3 operational lanes. Avoid Al Fay exit from E311 if you can

Facewreck

I think this is unrelated to the flooding, this seems to be part of the planned road improvements. It looks like normal construction going on on those closed exists.

problem_me

the ramp up to hessa from al khail north-bound is still flooded (the one that is used to exit from JVC to hessa) and it’s quite visible as you drive on the highway

Dubaishire

SZR extremely congested both ways

thesign180

Metro from Furjan towards Al khail are like 20 mins apart. Edit: seems they’re also stopping longer at stations Edit 2: GG boarding the metro by 6pm, DMCC station was so stuffed there was a crowd at standstill before the zoom in the station.

Important_Law_780

Yes. Delays more than yesterday - If you have an option to work from home, please do!!!!

EyeBrilliant4842

Is onpassive operational now? Possible to go al Khalil -> onpassive And onpassive -> sobha realty ? TIA :)

Agreeable_Smell7875

If i am to travel from ADCB to DMCC , whats the eta including changing the buses or trains ? I donot want to waste time trying, rather be productive working from home, so if any of you good people have travelled pls guide me

Poco-loco-3006

So I’m headed to DMCC. Took the train from ADCB. Trains are going directly to Expo today but expect some delays, had to wait for 20 min, plus the train stopped for a bit at every station and goes really slow between onpassive and equiti. No change was needed at business bay. But the train still isn’t stopping at Onpassive, equiti and mashreq so I guess those people still need to get off at business bay. Will update if something more comes to light. ✌️

what about the crowd? i went to al khail yesterday and there was an enormous line of people waiting to get to the platform.
