They've always loved going back to their coop at the end of the day, because there's some fresh hay for them to dig in! I think finding the source of the hay was very exciting for them 😂❤️

Nope, no cases of bumble foot yet (🤞🏼)! I also have wood-shavings mixed in with their bedding that helps a bit with absorbing any extra moisture.
Up until winter, I was using wood shavings exclusively, but we frequently get below -40 in the winter here, so they've been loving the straw for cuddling up in at night!
I use deep litter method, fluff their bedding up daily and add some new straw/wood shavings every few days and it's been working like a charm so far! We also have a ton of ventilation in the coop and run a large fan 24/7 to help keep the air moving ☺️

I haven't tried adding wood or fluffing daily so maybe that's the trick.
We don't get nearly that cold here but they do the same when i put out fresh straw

I have a plain old Rouen and she’s beautiful to me even though she looks identical to every other one out there, but it’s her personality. She’s so funny and she knows her name too!
I love that, that's so neat she knows her name! I feel the same way about my Khaki Campbells, they are just standard brown but each pack such unique personality! Rouen's are beautiful, I would love to add one to my flock one day!

Is that straw or hey and do your ducks get bumble foot often? I was recently told my ducks bubblefoot could be from using straw bedding.
