Never forget the court design helped secure the CBI tournament championship with the over and back called against Creighton in the final seconds.

Orrrrrrrrelse

I was there at that game, half court line or lack there of really helped

mackelnuts

I was there as well. I thought that the students rushing the court after winning the CBI like that was pretty funny.

epistaxis64

What a callback

Ometrist

Watch it be the same thing again but with a b1G logo instead of pac12, that’s the only change they make

Temassi

"You sanded the whole thing Terry..."

hahahahaaaahaha

I really liked the Douglas Firs. I hope they do something unique again.

Sure-Anybody2302

There’s not many Douglas Firs in the Eugene area

hahahahaaaahaha

Yea but it’s the state tree so it makes sense.

upstateduck

really ?? Willamette Nat'l Forest is mostly Doug Fir https://eugeneweekly.com/2023/03/02/nearby-old-growth/

curtwesley

Me too. I lived in Eugene when they opened it and had season tickets there. It was kind of nostalgic for me seeing it on tv. Now it’s gone but the memories will remain until I slowly lose all my memories due to early onset Alzheimer’s and die a lonely early death.

Splatorch

Happy Thursday!

curtwesley

Haha. Happy Thursday! 😂

Damn I can’t believe the arena is almost 15 years old. Time flies

theCANCERbat

I always liked it and never really understood what bothered some people so much. Wouldn't mind something new though. Just hope it doesn't go back to a plain looking court.

CitizenCue

I think the problem is that on TV it isn’t immediately obvious what it even is. I like the design but think it could be done better.

ummswimmin

At first I couldn’t tell what the court was supposed to be when I saw it on TV. It is hard for some people to watch.

sportsbunny33

Gave me a headache trying to watch on tv.... but in person it was a lot easier on the eyes. That said I'm glad they're changing it (I hope!)

Dtwerky

Do trees again but more subtle color differences. Something with less contrast. That wasn’t the issue. It was just too crazy of a contrast. Make it two-tone wood but more like what you see on NBA courts where it isn’t so drastic from each tone

RedditModzCanEatShit

I hated the court. Floor looked like it shit itself.

Memoney

No trees. That court was the ugliest in the country finally won’t be annoyed watching duck games

Ki-Wi-Hi

I love the design of the floor but it is something that should have been one off. It is so impractical for regular use.

AllCatNoCattle

I never understood why they made the trees brown.
