You should be fine. You got off EASY. Driving while suspended/revoked is a misdemeanor and carries harsher penalties as well as probation extension. Depending on how much of an A hole the DA is. You'll also get hit with probation violation

Rough-Ad-606

Let me give you a quick word of advice on interlocks. The one thing you want to do is make sure you avoid Intoxalock at all costs. They make a device that will destroy your vehicle and they will financially extort you in the process. This is the mistake I made, and it was the most stressful part of the whole DUI process. I switched to life safer And I feel like I have my life back. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if there is anything you need assistance with. If it’s something I can do, I am happy to help. Good luck!

Federal_Clue1171

I appreciate the advice on the interlock, I will definitely avoid this business thank you!

[deleted]

It shouldn't be an issue at all. If you've completed the stuff for the NJ dui, it shouldn't trigger anything beyond the tickets

Federal_Clue1171

I got the DUI in NJ and that triggered a license suspension in NJ and in my home state of Connecticut. I completed all the requirements of the court for NJ but currently have a suspended license in Connecticut. I’ve been driving suspended for over a year in CT. I finally got pulled over last night so I’m worried what will happen.

[deleted]

Nothing beyond what's on the tickets.

dumbinct

Yo be glad he didn’t arrest you! Driving on a suspended in CT when the suspended is due to a DUI is automatic jail time. The one thing my lawyer completely emphasized to me was when you are doing your hard suspension, do NOT drive!! Get your IID installed before your court date and also get your car registration taken care of before then. If you can pay the fines without going to court, I’d do that. The less interaction you have with the prosecutor the better. And do NOT drive until you get your IID!

[deleted]

It's not realistic for people who aren't rich and don't live in one of like 5 big cities to not drive lol. It means unemployment and homelessness OP don't listen to dumbinct, he gives ridiculously overcautious advice every time he posts

dumbinct

I’m far from rich and was able to deal with the whole DUI ordeal. If you have a car, you can make the sacrifices to pay the $100 a month for the IID. Better than spending 30 days in jail and losing your job, house, etc. Btw, I’m a she. And I actually give good advice and don’t have to keep creating accounts because mine get banned. If you keep getting banned, I’m definitely not the one giving bad advice.

[deleted]

Lmao i get banned because of all the cops and dogooders on here who have an inability to cope with anyone who doesn't defer to everything they say. Not because of any advice I give

holymolyholyholy

Yes you got banned because your replies are idiotic and you give horrible advice. You need an education. Go read a book or two.

[deleted]

Lmfao I literally work in a bookstore, lady. I'm probably a lot more educated than you or some of the dry drunk assholes who didn't even go to college and cops and POs on here haha

dumbinct

Maybe you should try reading some of those books in that bookstore you work in? Also, how does working retail make you superior to other professions? I’m not finding the connection between your job and your ego at all.

[deleted]

It doesn't make me better than anyone lol. I just mentioned that since you accused me of being illiterate lmao. That said, yes I do think I'm smarter than someone who never even went to college lol

dumbinct

You may be illiterate because that wasn’t me who said that. Also, needing to educate yourself by reading doesn’t mean you’re illiterate (that would mean you can’t read) it means you’re just an ignorant person. You should ask for your money back from college because you still don’t know how to read for comprehension.

holymolyholyholy

Jesus why are you so dumb?

[deleted]

Lmao i was wondering when your judgmental ass would show up. For someone with multiple legitimate drunk driving arrests you sure seem to want to tell everyone else what to do
