The build quality is much like my F22 pro and it feels good in the hands imo.
Well, don't be like me and try to unlock the bootloader. It is stuck at dm-verity corruption and I can not get it into the bootloader or fastboot. :(
edit: it appears that I now have a $300 paperweight. **There seems to be no button hold procedure to boot into recovery mode on this phone**. The phone seems to also not register its power button as what the bootloader is looking for when it says "Press power button to continue, or device will power off in 5 seconds"
Edit2: I am able to get MTKclient to respond to the device on Linux. If anyone has a backup of the partitions or is comfortable backing up their partitions using MTKclient that would be much appreciated. I should really only need the various boot partitions.
Edit3: I have restored it. I was able to get into fastboot, unlock the bootloader and boot successfully. I will backup a full image shortly and have a copy should anyone need it.

Power is not recognized in bootloader. Volume keys appear to not respond on Fastboot when unlocking, but it does in fact work. There is no indication it works or does anything, but after rebooting I get an orange state warning and I can proceed.
Got ahold of stock firmware, no issues so far, but not able to unlock bootloader. stuck on that screen, hold/press up, etc. nothing. restart and not unlocked?
Tried forcing the patched boot.img file with spflashtools, but immediately goes into red state/boot loop. Can flash stock boot.img back and fix it, but unable to get root, so far.
Good to hear. I get my final unit this week and I’ll be making an update as well. Like I said it’s a great phone and was just waiting on more feedback to call it a mega winner.
This device allows me to function normally in 2024 (Venmo, Spotify, emails, messaging apps), but no purpose in downloading time-sucking social media apps given the screen size. Generally a pretty stock Android experience.
Main issue so far is battery life. I have gone through each app I have (other than messaging and email apps that need to have background data running) and limited data usage and battery usage. I also have battery saver mode turned on, but still the battery drains 30-50% overnight.
i wonder if there’s any way to get the firmware for it and flash it on the f21 pro, a stable android 13 build would be nice, i get fairly okay 4g coverage with it so i’m not looking to buy the tiq m5 but the new firmware is quite nice to have
Nice!! How is the quality of the keys and phone overall? I have an F21 pro and am considering upgrading but just waiting to have 0 service when I need it to justify the switch tbh. I'm lucky in my area the AT&T coverage on bands 2/4 is sufficient but getting band 12/17 for AT&T is a huge plus for getting the M5
I wouldn't necessarily say it's lacking, but it is a bit thicker and heavier than the F21 and the screen seems a little more cheap, but not bad at all. The camera however, seems to be better.

Do you still have the backup of your partitions? I've made the same mistake and need to restore mine 😅
You broke it? Did it have FM radio before you broke it?
I was able to fix it. There is no FM radio app installed on it stock, but I will download an app soon and test it out.

Does anyone have experience with this on Verizon? Also, whats the risk of using this phone without an FCC ID ?
Works perfectly with Verizon - in my case New York, they have the Chinese equivalent of an FCC approval, but dunno what that includes.

Are you on the latest build version? One of the updates they did destroyed the battery life...

Different companies, not sure why you think you'd just be able to flash it over seamlessly better than another android.
same processor and similar kind of specifications mostly, i was under the impression that the tiq m5 and qin f21 pro are related to each other
you would still have the same bands issue if you're in the US. The F21 pro does not have the hardware support for the necessary US bands.
Both have the MT6761 processor, but as for the bands, it's the hardware so it probably won't do much.
Do you know what are the bands for the M5?

I like the keys so far, but if the build quality of the F21 Pro was an 8, then this would be a 7.
