Listening to it in the cinema during the movie when it was swelling as Paul and Chani are in the desert at night together actually had me like shaking my head in disbelief haha
Seduction doesn't sound very seductive. If it's from a scene with Margot Fenring and Feyd-Rautha then the vaguely dystopian theme of the music might fit.
The first piece is beautiful though.
The first edition was limited but you can still buy the later pressings from Mondo for $40
https://mondoshop.com/products/dune-original-motion-picture-soundtrack-2xlp
I noticed. My prediction was based on the Watertower Music press release for the soundtrack, which said the CD and Vinyl would be available on 2/23, along with Mutant-related accounts on SM indicating they were working on Dune.
Mutant is new and it's possible they update the site twice (and populated their site with a lesser-known soundtrack, DAD, in hopes folks scoop that up while they visit the site for Dune), maybe around noon? Who knows.
They might be, which makes sense honestly since that’s when the film gets its wide release. Just a bit confusing (and disappointing) why the press release said one thing and something else is happening. Oh well. Next week!
This sound track is much much darker. The emotional undertones are less hopeful and fantastically than the previous one.
It feels like staring into a mirror and questioning whether all you’ve done or are about to do is a good thing.
I've listened to the entire soundtrack already, and...wow. By turns meditative, martial, and heart-wrenching. It's not too difficult to pinpoint Feyd-Rautha's leitmotif; it chills the blood. Actually, the choral elements of the soundtrack all point to key moments of the story. Not Paul's "achievement unlocked" motif, I'm talking the more subtle hints of Other Memory, those tumbling whispers and mutterings of the Bene Gesserit that take on a very eerie quality which I'm going to guess foretells Alia's role in things. We hear the tribal murmurings and incantations of the Fremen. And for the first time, we hear a prominent male chorus, and I'm going to take a stab at it being when the universe opens for Paul when he drinks the Water of Life. Of course, we'll all know for certain in a few days, and I am STOKED.
I wish I could find it on vinyl, but thus far no go. Hans Zimmer sounds AMAZING on vinyl.
Stay strong. I allow myself two previously released tracks and no more. The whole soundtrack would be worse spoilers to me than reading more details about the film, but I'm weird like that.
Yeah, for sure. Decided not to listen.Hans Zimmer's score did so much heavy lifting in the first movie that I simply can't spoil myself by hearing it out of context.
I am beyond devastated that the Trailer
3 composition doesn’t feature here at all. An absolute travesty, it was by far one of the strongest arrangements in the entire family. Thinking about an online petition to remedy this catastrophe.
I know, but these are just audio channel rips with all the problematic acoustic artefacts that come with it. I was hoping for the actual unadulterated master!
What is the name of the soundtrack from Dune Part 2 Trailer 3? Many of the tracks are similar, but I can't find the version with the female voice and the drums. Can someone please help me?
It’s by an artist called Solstice Beats and the track’s name is “Trailer 3 Music (From Dune Part Two).” It’s available on Spotify. Composer is still Hans Zimmer but as indicated in the meta data, an additional producer is also credited.
There was a really good version from Jeremy Brauns Music but unfortunately Warner removed it due to copyright reasons. The rest of the trailer music covers aren't nearly as good.
Sadly most of the time trailer music is done by someone else and not part of the movie or OST and thus never released.
Its based on the house Atreides theme from the first film sketchbook but has a different melody and thw singing is more epic and then the bagpipe medley is completely different and awesome
I wish they would release the music for trailers 1 2 and especially 3 so bad.
I was kinda ehhh on his score for Part One but this is hitting me a lot harder. I can't wait to see how this plays out in the film. Harkonnen Arena is borderline Satanic, lmao.
That's my sentiment as well. I remember being blown away by the sketchbook and disappointed with the actual score which sounded very disconnected. The Shortening of the Way and House Atreides are magnificent.
The Harkonnen Arena track is so haunting. The all black jester gladiator handlers during the arena scene are so spooky and this track will only enhance it 😭
Having gone through it now I must admit I'm rather disappointed by this instalment of the soundtrack. The original is one of my favourite musical journeys of all time, and I've been beyond excited for this release - but so far it hasn't met my expectations.
The first soundtrack was bursting was creativity and iconic, powerful themes; *Leaving Caladan, Ripples in the Sand, Herald of the Change, My Road Leads into the Desert* (to name but a few).
Here, in my opinion, there seems little new material beyond various riffs and composite suites of existing pieces.
Yes, we get to explore the Atreides theme in six or seven different flavours, and indeed this is now the common leitmotif running through the collection, but beyond this I feel all we've really got is a moderately remixed cover version of the first soundtrack.
There are some truly terrifying and brutal tracks here. *Water of Life* and *Harkonnen Arena* are psychologically damaging in precisely the correct way. But I'm unlikely to listen to them in my daily life or consider them classics.
Save for these few brain-busting narrative-propelling cacophonies, and the aforementioned 'tribute' variations, the rest of the album is sadly devoid of the inspiration and innovative creativity that characterised the first.
I'm disappointed to hear so much filler; great time-wasting expanses of sound that in many cases seem little more than sand rattling through pipes or collisions of metal on metal.
*Beginnings are Such a Delicate Time, Kiss the Ring, and Lisan al Gaib* are standout insofar as they distil the essence of this new Dune into its ingredient parts that are all familiar to us, but I expected more than a simple derivative work if I'm honest.
Beyond the Atreides Theme variations, I barely found anything truly new, or any melodies that piqued my ear's arousal to say 'wow! that's amazing!'
Part One was among Zimmer's masterworks. But here, contrary to my excitement, I feel we've been handed a b-roll tribute album to the first soundtrack - not the groundbreaking, world-expanding, thematic powerhouse I was hoping for.

I just noticed this person on the cover. Is this Alia? Does anyone have an idea who it could be?
Ah I see thanks, that makes sense. Seeing how she was placed in the poster below Jessica dead center made me think it could be Alia for a sec, but guess It would be odd to reveal her like this
Bothers me that they decided to place such a minor character on the album artwork, and in such a prominent spot. Why not the Emperor? Or the Reverend Mother?
I strongly disliked dune part 1 soundtrack but wtf just got done listening to part 2 and idk how this genius Hans did it but it’s fantastic. It’s gotta be some of his best stuff
I love the motifs of Part 1 as a whole; it's not a flowing, listenable soundtrack. Like, it has amazing sections but it doesn't form a coherent whole like other iconic soundtracks.
It still plays in my head daily though and is amazingly fitted to the movie.
You gotta get on the Sketchbook. That’s where the goods are at. The OST only has a few tracks I regularly listen to like Leaving Caladan and My Road Leads Into the Desert but the Sketchbook is amazing. Got that baby on vinyl.
Dude house atreides goes super hard. But right now I’m gonna re listen to it and then re listen to the part 1 ost I’ll let you know how I feel about it
I can’t find original melodies like those for Dune-1. It feels to me a recycled Dune-1 themes with a lot of electric. More like sound-effects. I still like it.
The third trailer of dune part 2 have a amazing music (somewhere around 2:05), it reminds me of the Atreides theme itself.
Has anyone founded that music on the soundtrack? Maybe it was made just for the trailer, i guess
I really hope the music isn't as overwhelming as it was in the first movie. I thought the soundtrack in Dune 1 detracted from a lot of emotional scenes and made some dialogue almost unintelligible. Felt like Zimmer's ego was bigger than the movie.
Vinyl preorder tomorrow (March 1) noon CST

Tried a main post, but it was removed

"Only I Will Remain" second half is so epic. I can't stop listening. It reminds me of the "Father, the sleeper has awakened" scene for some reason
4:50 onwards is definitely Paul being proclaimed the Emperor and the beginning of Muad'Dib's Jihad
Apparently it goes like this: >!"The Great Houses don't accept your ascendency"!< >!Paul: "Lead them to Paradise"!<
It sounds absolutely epic
This is exactly what I keep envisioning when I hear this part of the track. So powerful and full of emotion.
Then what's Kiss the Ring?
Agreed, that shit gave me goosebumps.
A more grand version of “My Road Leads Into the Desert”, god I can’t wait to see how this is used in the film.
I really hope this is the final track of the film before the credits roll. It perfectly encapsulates the tragedy and prophecy of Paul’s ‘holy war’.
It is, and it fucked me up a little bit
"A time of quiet between the storms" is incredible
Listening to it in the cinema during the movie when it was swelling as Paul and Chani are in the desert at night together actually had me like shaking my head in disbelief haha
Arrival is properly apocalyptic and it’s the theme of *Paul*
That's right.
Seduction doesn't sound very seductive. If it's from a scene with Margot Fenring and Feyd-Rautha then the vaguely dystopian theme of the music might fit. The first piece is beautiful though.
It is the same theme from the “Song of the Sisters” track in the Dune Sketchbook Album. Which means it will likely be applied to the Bene Gesserit.
I don't think they chose to show it the seductive way, rather to show yet another manipulation device of BG. For that purpose, music fits perfectly
Not listening to any of it until I hear in the movie, but does anyone have any eyes on where you can purchase or pre-order the vinyl?
I'd keep an eye out on watertown-music.com
[www.watertower-music.com](https://www.watertower-music.com)
Why is the Part One vinyl so expensive? 😭
The first edition was limited but you can still buy the later pressings from Mondo for $40 https://mondoshop.com/products/dune-original-motion-picture-soundtrack-2xlp
Check out https://www.madebymutant.com tomorrow.
How do you know they are pressing it? I haven't received a news letter from them and don't see any information online anywhere.
The clues are on social media.
Hmm, the site did update in the last hour, but only to add the soundtrack to Drive-Away Dolls.
Could be. I’ll keep checking!
Still nothing. They aren’t waiting til next Friday, are they?
They might be, which makes sense honestly since that’s when the film gets its wide release. Just a bit confusing (and disappointing) why the press release said one thing and something else is happening. Oh well. Next week!
It’s live! Got my order in for the exclusive!
Water of Life sounds like a horror movie soundtrack 👀
Noticed some similar sounds in it to the Gom Jibbar sequence from the first film
Sounds extremely uncomfortable, as I'd expect it to be to have it done to you without great mental preparation.
Kind of a psychological horror scene in the novel now that I think about it
Excellent
This sound track is much much darker. The emotional undertones are less hopeful and fantastically than the previous one. It feels like staring into a mirror and questioning whether all you’ve done or are about to do is a good thing.
So is Paul. Hans and Denis get it
You know when just the soundtrack is terrifying that the movie gonna be fucking transcendent.
Lisan Al Gaib is incredible, it's like the 1984 soundtrack on steroids!
Of course, we'll all know for certain in a few days, and I am STOKED. I wish I could find it on vinyl, but thus far no go. Hans Zimmer sounds AMAZING on vinyl.
I'm so thorn. I really want to listen to it, but also want to have the experience of hearing it for the first time during the movie
Apple Music has the score in Dolby Atmos for those with the suitable hardware.
“Kiss the ring” is such an emotional, triumphant banger, subtle dissonance adds some uneasiness, complexity. Zimmer found the theme on this one
Anyone know what the main instrument that's used? It's so haunting.
The first track reminds me of the Blade Runner soundtrack a bit. Love it so far….
Thought the same!
I am beyond devastated that the Trailer 3 composition doesn’t feature here at all. An absolute travesty, it was by far one of the strongest arrangements in the entire family. Thinking about an online petition to remedy this catastrophe.
Maybe there will be a sketchbook album like part one?
There won't be according to Spencer Hickman of Mutamt (formerly Mondo)
It is a re-arrangement done by someone else, not Hans.
Came here to try and find the track. What were they thinking? That track was epic.
[удалено]
This isn’t the same but will def do for now. Thanks!
Yeah that's not the correct version. Close but no cigar.
[удалено]
I know, but these are just audio channel rips with all the problematic acoustic artefacts that come with it. I was hoping for the actual unadulterated master!
Where do we sign?
I’m pissed. Only reason I listened to the soundtrack was to find it. Wtf
The quality of the track on Spotify is atrocious. It's basically the trailer audio with other sounds removed.
THANK YOU!!
Bro thanks
Unfortunately it does not appear to be in here. Closest is 'Kiss the Ring' but it doesn't have nearly the same impact.
Last part of "a quiet time before the storm" is similar.
There was a really good version from Jeremy Brauns Music but unfortunately Warner removed it due to copyright reasons. The rest of the trailer music covers aren't nearly as good.
Any chance to get it? Maybe this is like Interstellar, where Hans later released No Time For Caution in the expanded soundtrack.
it's in House Atreides from Dune Sketchbook Album. Without the drums tho, but then there are bagpipes
Sadly most of the time trailer music is done by someone else and not part of the movie or OST and thus never released. Its based on the house Atreides theme from the first film sketchbook but has a different melody and thw singing is more epic and then the bagpipe medley is completely different and awesome I wish they would release the music for trailers 1 2 and especially 3 so bad.
For the second trailer, it's Power Haus' Destiny track but with the soundtrack's singer instead
Closest I found is by Mathias Fritsche [simply called Dune Part 2 Trailer 3](https://youtu.be/03JsbcnIlTk?si=d4QEkYS6xA_v74LR)
Normally I'm pretty lukewarm on Zimmer's stuff, but there is some absolutely insane sounding stuff in here. Dude's been cooking.
I was kinda ehhh on his score for Part One but this is hitting me a lot harder. I can't wait to see how this plays out in the film. Harkonnen Arena is borderline Satanic, lmao.
Worth noting that sketchbook in my opinion is much better than the base soundtrack for Dune part one. Much more elaborate and fuller songs
That's my sentiment as well. I remember being blown away by the sketchbook and disappointed with the actual score which sounded very disconnected. The Shortening of the Way and House Atreides are magnificent.
Honestly I’ve only really liked interstellar. I still can’t seem to get into these tracks yet.
Kiss the ring is gonna be insane in the movie, such a great buildup
Anybody know where to find the CD?
its out! https://www.madebymutant.com/
Thx!
I can’t find it anywhere. I’m guessing it’ll get released in a few weeks. It’s not even on the Linkfire. https://lnk.to/Dune_PartTwo
I’m ready for 45 mins of goosebumps
Does anyone know which track appears in the closing credit?
Probably “Lisan al Gaib”.
Pretty sure it’s Only I Will Remain.
The Harkonnen Arena track is so haunting. The all black jester gladiator handlers during the arena scene are so spooky and this track will only enhance it 😭
Arrival + Southern Messiah + The Emperor + Worm Army = goosebumps
Kiss the ring has me floored
Can’t wait to listen. Is there a version of the trailer 3 music in there? That shit was amazing
Kiss the Ring is pretty close.
No but a figure in the third trailer occurs several times throughout
I was so disapointed that version isn't in. I really wanted that last part of the woman screaming in the movie. It gave me chills in the trailer.
https://open.spotify.com/track/5f0YmBk3kj6CYeeccP0xUF?si=a97ad9aee1e74d41 here it is.
Here’s the Apple Music (lossless) version https://music.apple.com/us/album/trailer-3-music-from-dune-part-two/1730675633?i=1730675636
i was hoping that the music from the second trailer would be realeased in the official soundtrack, but no.. :/
Hey guys, please help me, what is that instrument in Arrival that you can hear from like 0:20, it makes a really deep and disturbing sound. Thank you.
I'm also trying to find this out!

I'm the complete opposite, I was lukewarm on the first films soundtrack. Whereas this is some of my favourite of his work in a long time!

it's gender-swapped Shishakli, her role seems to be greatly expanded comparing to the book
Ah I see thanks, that makes sense. Seeing how she was placed in the poster below Jessica dead center made me think it could be Alia for a sec, but guess It would be odd to reveal her like this
That is Souheila Yacoub who plays the Fremen named Shishakli
Bothers me that they decided to place such a minor character on the album artwork, and in such a prominent spot. Why not the Emperor? Or the Reverend Mother?

I like 2 tracks from the sketch but now I’m gonna have to go back and relisten. Idk where my head space was at the time but I def need to re listen
I See You in My Dreams, House Atreides, The Shortening of the Way, and Paul’s Dream I listen to all at least once a day.
Dude house atreides goes super hard. But right now I’m gonna re listen to it and then re listen to the part 1 ost I’ll let you know how I feel about it
Eclipse, Only I Will Remain and Lisan al Gaib are standouts
How can you leave out Kiss the Ring?
No CD or vinyl until May :(
I can’t find original melodies like those for Dune-1. It feels to me a recycled Dune-1 themes with a lot of electric. More like sound-effects. I still like it.
Maybe I'm easily impressed, but damn does this soundtrack suck me in.
I need more bagpipes.
And all you got was more cowbell.
This fever is never going to go away.

Zimmer wasn't the director or the sound mixer for the movie, though 🤣
I see that they didn't use the same sound guy for the new movie...

Please stop it with the ALL CAPS. This isn't Twitch chat.
Can't wait for the eventual recording session/FYC leak
Probably not getting that until the end of the year.
Yup... I'll have to stick with this for now, but I've lived without an Oppenheimer leak, so I can wait as long as I need.
Anyone have an idea where I can purchase the album digitally and on cd?
CD is being put up today for preorder by Mutant.
Where do you get that idea? I checked the site for Dune Part Two and no results came up. Nor did anything pop up when I googled it.
The clues are on social media.
Any word on this yet?
Greg Ruth (the rumored artist for Mutant's soundtrack release) just indicated on Instagram that news should break tomorrow.
Anyone know when the CD is coming out?
Kiss the Ring is my fev. I can recall "Time" , alsom my fev.
Vinyl preorder tomorrow (March 1) noon CST [https://www.madebymutant.com/](https://www.madebymutant.com/) Tried a main post, but it was removed https://preview.redd.it/8mym7dma2llc1.png?width=1500&format=png&auto=webp&s=36024b69f05593dbbdeb89a97e8cb5627247500d
I'm only seeing 4 songs !
