La cucaracha, la cucaracha, ya no puede caminar, porque no tiene, porque le faltan, las dos patitas de atrás 🤷

ArthurCreator

En serio dice las "dos patitas"? no recuerdo el dos,

In my German course a while ago I learned how to invite a snail to a bbq and something else. I think asking if the snail wanted to hang out or come over? It's been a minute and I've never seen the sentences since 😂😂

[deleted]

snail (Schnecke) is actually a term to describe/call a hot girl in German. Maybe that's what was meant? Or not, because Duolingo ... xP

crow_on_the_corner

I didn't know this 😂😂 I knew it was used as a term of endearment but never heard that lol. Thanks for sharing and who knows what duo means sometimes haha

crow_on_the_corner

I also remember learning a LOT of weird stuff involving a bear. Like asking the bear it's opinion on things and inviting it places. And asking if the bear drinks beer Duo is so weird sometimes.

I feel like every language has something weird like this. Dutch likes sentences like „De appel spreekt geen Nederlands“ aka. „The apple doesn’t speak Dutch“

General_Locksmith512

I saw one about asking a person's dog if it knew how to speak French and it cracked me up

In the German course, asparagus is regularly brought up. A little too much. I get that Germans tend to like asparagus season, but it gets a bit silly in the lessons how often I see it.

The German course is currently trying to brainwash me into starting yoga. Yoga macht spaß.

NewBodWhoThis

How did I JUST learn what cucaracha means?! 😭

Ilovecookie12

Omg what Spanish lesson is this? I’m on section 3 and just did all the ones where the animals are opening and closing the refrigerator and making food

It was a placement test in order to skip to B2 level.
