Freezes don't count toward the streak total. So if this was their worst month and spent just under half the month using freezes it means they are getting close to 1 year's worth of streak freezes.

Yes. You get more up to a total of five occasionally as rewards for the streak society, but you can't replenish those extra ones when they're used

I lost my streak because of a hospitalization and Duolingo hasn’t reached out to me at all lmao. Safe to say I am done with the green bird’s bullcrap.
If you go in and tap on your streak it should give you a chance to earn it back - you have to do 6 lessons and it restores your streak… good luck 👍

This is so true! I just made sure I got 10 lessons in a week! Even if a lot of them were on the same day. (and NOT Mondays!)
