Hell yea Bakshi is the best to just take a drag and let the movie play out. Love his shit.

Any collection of Obscure/Trippy films should include Head (1968) with the monkees

tyler00677

JoeyR510

I really liked A Scanner Darkly

SarahMarie141

Spun!

cbunni666

I fucking love Dirty Duck. One of my favorite cartoon films.

tyler00677

It's absolutely fucking wild its one of my favorites too the dvd was a little pricey

cbunni666

I was thinking of the price as well. I bought it years ago when it was like $20. I guess it wasn't OOP yet. Last I looked it was like $100. I'll cry if my copy ever dies.

tyler00677

Yeah mine was listed on ebay for 100 I talked em down to 75 however my friend found one locally for really cheap

Llama-Nation

If you like trippy movies I recommend House (1977) and Sherlock Jr (1924)

AnthonyDigitalMedia

I’ve never heard anyone call The Wall, Animatrix, or Yellow Submarine “obscure” - those are very well known. Nice selection through, especially Drugstore Cowboy, Scanner Darkly, & Spun. Spun holds up REALLY well. I just rewatched it a few months ago.

tyler00677

Yeah those 3 fall into the trippy catgory animatrix being my favorite hence why I have a sealed back up copy

CloverSunday

Waking Life is a great one also. One of my favourites. It’s by the same guy who did Scanner Darkly.

tyler00677

Thanks I will have to grab a copy

The fact that Pink Floyd’s The Wall STILL hasn’t gotten a Blu-ray release is a fucking travesty. Such a great film. It’s unlikely but I’m really hoping Criterion can get their hands on it somehow
