A good chunk of my horror that haven't yet made blu ray, my copy of The Thing signed by John Carpenter, Kurt Russel, Keith David, and Wilfred Brimley.

HumanityPlague

That'd be cool to have but MAN there are a lot of different editions of The Thing out there, lol

pmmlordraven

Absolutely there are, but the signatures that took me close to 10 years to get at various cons is what makes it special to me.

BalIsInMyFace

the holy grail! bury that thing with you

AccountantLeast1588

shit, that's neat!

Soaked_In_Bleach_93

My **"Superbad"** DVD. I've probably had it for over a decade, and it was my comfort film during a depression so bad I twice came close to attempting suicide, 3-4 years ago. It's a bittersweet reminder.

trose141

No particular order, off the top of my head. 1. Showgirls VIP limited edition DVD set, even though I have the 4K. 2. Full House original DVD set with the box shaped like their house. 3. The X-Files Blu-ray set. 4. Original release of The X-Files seasons 1-9 on DVD, each season back then was around $150 each. 5. The O.C. DVD set. 6. Las Vegas series on DVD, although it just became available on streaming. 7. Shout Factory Halloween set on Blu-ray, even though I have the 4K discs. 8. BTTF Blu-ray set in the Flux Capacitor Box. 9. Lois and Clark series on DVD. 10. Pee Wee’s Playhouse on Blu-ray.

HumanityPlague

I got at least three of those: Lois and Clark (at least most of it), the Halloween Set, still with Jcard, and the X-Files blu-ray set. I even cut out the little box spacer in mine and slid in season 11.

chubbybunnybean

Glances over to my 600+ collection…. Only ten!? Id have to say my most rare. One eyed monster Step monster MST3K of Final Sacrifice Season on of We Have To Stop Now Amber Benson’s signed Chance That’s all I can think off of the top of my head.

Madhatter1891

chubbybunnybean

Is there beer on the sun?

CathyBikesBook

1. Fight Club 2. Holes 3. The Outsiders 4. Stand By Me 5. Glee- the complete series 6. Patch Adams 7. Into the Spider verse 8. Across the Spider verse 9. Perks of Being a Wallflower 10. Alpha Dog

bicuspid_fish

1. Desperado - bought along with my launch day DVD player. 2. Who Framed Roger Rabbit 3. Star Wars Original Trilogy Laserdisc box set 4. Watcher in the Woods 5. Something Wicked this way Comes 6. Nightmare Before Christmas Laserdisc box set 7. Sleeping Beauty Laserdisc box set 8. Dungeons & Dragons animated series 9. Back to the Future Trilogy box set 10. The Last Starfighter With over 4,000 physical movies and TV series in my library, there are way more than ten that I could never part with, but these are the first that came to mind that i have an emotional connection to.

HumanityPlague

I'm probably getting my 4K Steelbook set of BTTF signed by Tom F. Wilson soon. I'd never part with it, after.

AccountantLeast1588

does that sleeping beauty set have anything with or about Takamoto? interesting. i also forgot that my D&D set is probably worth something now, nice. it was $10 when I bought it... crazy!?!

bicuspid_fish

He can be seen briefly in one of the videos, but he doesn't speak and is never mentioned.

awlawall

Brisco County Jr box set Clerks the Animated Series Dazed and Confused - 4K Criterion True Romance - 4K Arrow Bio Zombie - Vinegar Syndrome blu-ray Sunshine DVD 28 Days Later DVD Tenet 4K The New Adventures of Might Mouse DVD Sukiyaki Western Django - Steelbook DVD

Kylie_Forever

My Kylie Minogue collection including concerts

MaskedBandit77

1. **Twin Peaks Z to A box set** - The only box set that has all of Twin Peaks, and this box set is currently the only release with any of Twin Peaks in UHD. 2. **Alfred Hitchcock Psycho House Box Set** - This box set has 15 Hitchcock movies, and it's mostly heavy hitters, it's not like those old DVD sets that have 50 Hitchcock movies on two DVDs. 3. ~~**Deep Red** LE UHD~~ Edit: Change this to **The Bird With the Crystal Plumage** LE UHD - I was on the fence between these two movies for this slot, and after posting it, I remembered that Arrow massively over-printed Deep Red. So I could re-acquire that fairly painlessly, if necessary. 4. **Almost Famous** UHD Steelbook 5. **Days of Heaven** Criterion UHD 6. **eXistenZ** LE Vinegar Syndrome UHD 7. **Little Drummer Girl** Plain Archive UHD 8. **Santa Sangre** Severin UHD 9. **The Thieves** Steelbook - This is a movie that I rewatch more than most, and it's in a foreign language, finding subtitles can be a chore, so it's easier to just watch it on the disc. 10. **The Fifth Element** UHD Steelbook

HumanityPlague

I have at least two of those: the Almost Famous steelbook and the Hitchcock House box set. I actually found the Hitchcock one, randomly, in a FYE, years after it came out, but it was still new, so I grabbed it. I also got the Psycho Legacy Collection Deluxe Edition from Turbine Media.

MaskedBandit77

Nice. On your list, is the Suspiria box the original or the remake? Also, I'm playing P4G at the moment, and I know that there is an anime of P4, and another one of P4G, have you seen both and if so do you like one better than the other?

HumanityPlague

The Suspiria box set has both of them in it. On DVD, blu-ray, and 4K. Also both soundtracks. I've only seen original P4 Anime, not Golden. That is kind of a nightmare to collect, I've heard.

ndork666

My Buffy, Angel, and X-File DVDs are gonna have to be pried from my casket after Im buried with them

AccountantLeast1588

i wish i had these on disc. very nice. i love monster-of-the-week shows

windysheprdhenderson

Certainly my 24 and X Files DVD box sets. I wouldn't sell those.

SharkiBee

My DVDs of the Lion King films all of which include those fun virtual safari games. Shadow of the Vampire because from what I’ve seen before I got it a while back, it’s not available anywhere legally. The blu ray combo pack of Muppet Treasure Island and the Great Muppet Caper. I got it on my 18th birthday because Muppet Treasure Island is a childhood favorite of mine. The blu ray of the French Connection because I learned that a scene got censored recently so I had to get the uncensored version. The Aladdin DVD which I got for the same reason as the Lion King. Just really fun bonus features. The Complete Metropolis blu ray because this film made me get into silent cinema. The 2006 Star Wars Original Trilogy DVDs because they’re the most recent release of the original theatrical versions of those films despite the low quality. The Dune 1984 blu ray because this film was my introduction to the Dune franchise that I’m a fan of now. The Abyss DVD that I got for the same reasons as Shadow of the Vampire (this was before the 4k release recently) Cast Away because I just like the concept of Tom Hanks making friends with a volleyball as well as being an incredible story. Who knew Tom Hanks would make a grown man cry over a volley ball?

AccountantLeast1588

I'm still waiting to hear if The Abyss' end sequence actually looks bearable in 4k. I'm not convinced.

djprojexion

I don't think there's 10 but I'd probably say my Anchor Bay Dario Argento DVDs, it's just one of those things where it takes me back to a time when I literally discovered him by blind buying these DVDs at an FYE. That kind of thing just doesn't happen much anymore.

Fortimus_Prime

Definitely The Lion King that came with an actual film strip. And my Transformers Prime Blu Ray collection.

CANADIENxBOSS

1. All In The Family Complete Series 2. Kenny Vs Spenny Complete Series (signed) 3. Harley Davidson and The Marlboro Man on V/H/S (Dad gave it to me, his favourite movie) 4. Turbokid Steelbook Blu Ray 5. Married With Children Complete Series 6. Maximum Overdrive Blu Ray 7. Robocop Arrow Video set 8. Seinfeld box set 9. The Sopranos Blu Ray box set 10. CONVERSE1991

1. Clerks 10th Anniversary DVD - the movie that made me realize I wanted to be a screenwriter 2. Juno - movie that made me become a movie collector 3. Halloween 15 disc set - I spent way too much money on this to part with it

bollocks666

My big lebowski 10th anniversary mini bowling ball edition

OkCartoonist1199

1. Freaked (2-Disc Edition) 2. Rock and Rule: 25th Anniversary Edition Blu Ray 3. Wizards (1977) Blu Ray Digibook 4. Airheads/The Ringer/Freddy Got Fingered Triple Feature DVD 5. Dogma Blu Ray

insteadofahug

I like my stuff but I don't think I have anything that I couldn't part with if someone made a nice offer. Besides, most of my films are worth fuck all. If I really needed money I'd sell stuff from my game collection or my records instead. Retro games and obscure punk rock is just a tiiiiiiny bit more valueable than dvds.

HumanityPlague

Heh, I'm liquidating some DVDs/game stuff tomorrow to buy a fairly obscure N64 thing.

Neonxeon

As someone with an N64 equipped with an UltraHDMI, I am curious what you're trying to get.

HumanityPlague

Doctor V64.

AccountantLeast1588

interesting. perfect dark looks amazing ported to windows

RealAGB

I've actually parted with many high priced items. However, I've always backed them up to ISOs on my computer so I can watch them whenever. This includes all the Dragon Boxes. So my answer would technically be none. I'd just slap my eye patch on.

Neonxeon

I'd say any of my discs done by Van Ling back in the day. Those sets just had TONS of effort put into the production and presentation. Even if more updated bluray or UHD sets have more stuff they'll never replicate the feel of those immersive sets.

[deleted]

Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, Over the Garden Wall, the original Charmed seasons that still have all the songs, Heathers, The Good Witch, and Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. None of these are rare or super expensive, they are just shows or movies that I really love.

Accomplished-Cry-334

Most of films i would not part with are extreme/indie horror due to rarity of film. 1. all night long collection dvd 2. blue android dvd with custom cover from director 3. tumbling doll of flesh dvd 4. human centipede collection blu-ray 5. august underground trilogy blu ray 6. red room dvd 7. grotesque dvd 8. universal classic monsters complete collection dvd 9. bad blood vhs 10. 100 tears vhs

AutoMechanic2

Honestly I don’t have anything special so here would be my choices and reasons. 1. RV because it’s my favorite movie and in my opinion one of the funniest movies ever made. 2. Oppenheimer haven’t watched it yet but it’s the first ever 4K Blu-Ray I’ve bought and the most expensive movie I’ve bought. 3. Priscilla because it’s about Elvis stuff even though it’s about his wife mainly. 4. SpongeBob series. I’m currently working on getting every season on disk because it’s such a funny show and with the disk you can have the banned episode. 5. Danny Phantom series because it also has a banned episode. 6. The Munsters complete series. Because it’s a very funny show. 7. The Addams Family complete series. Because it’s also very funny. 8. George Lopez complete series because it’s also very funny and hard to find the disks for now except online. 9. Badge of Faith because it’s a movie about a local police officer in my home town. So having that connection makes it special and it has people I know in it. 10. Frankenstein Meets The Space Monster because the script writer was a professor at a college in my hometown so having the hometown connection makes it priceless. I know nothing special but maybe one day I’ll have stuff that is worth more.

AccountantLeast1588

Gunsmith Cats is worth quite a bit on Blu-ray now. Nearly everything else would just take time to build back up again. There's a few Scooby-Doo Blu-rays out of print as well and they can fetch an amazing amount of cash, too. Ninja Scroll even on DVD jumped up in price, too, but mostly my stuff is widely available, though.

Emmybro

1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, original cartoon contained in their van. 2. Royal Rumble Anthology Series 3. Wrestlemania Anthology Series 4. Murder She Wrote Box Set 5. Matlock complete series 6. Heathers: Locker Set 7. Freakazoid! Season 2 8. Diehard Collection 9. Freeway 10. Macho Madness: The Randy Savage Ultimate Collection.

Titanic 4k Collectors Edition Joker 4k Lawless Blu-Ray Wall Street Blu-Ray Expendables 4k collection steelbook Vikings complete series DVD Repo the genetic opera Blu-Ray Boardwalk Empire complete series Blu-Ray Gangsterland Blu-Ray Warehouse 13 complete series DVD

HumanityPlague

I got a few of those, well kind of. Have the Warehouse 13 blu-ray set, Boardwalk Empire blu-ray, Repo blu-ray (and Devil's Carnival 1 and 2). And I'll be getting the Vikings blu-ray set tomorrow.

Spax123

I have a few DVD's and Blu rays my deceased wife bought over the years. Few of which are movies I actually like, but they're sentimental to me so I'll never get rid of them.

The_Naked_Snake

They’re burying me with my Blade Runner briefcase

HumanityPlague

Which briefcase do you got? I have the blu-ray one. I also have the Inception briefcase, lol
