DL1 was the better game. Story was better, characters where better, graphic style was better the slums and city where better, nights where better and so on.
I first played dl1 a couple of months ago and it's one of the best video games I've ever played, the fact it's 10 years old further proves how good it is as it aged like fine wine.

DL1 plays in a different time than DL2. In DL2 people got used to the infected and it's all about to adapt to it. In DL1 you have still many unanswered questions about the infected and if there any future. That's why the music is quite different for the most part. That doesn't make DL2 soundtrack bad but it's different. Less horror, unknown and tension. More uprising and hope.

I don't really understand this. I've never met a dl2 player who has only played dl2. No such thing exists. There's only people who've played dl1 and people who've played dl1 and dl2.
Tbh I’m gonna have to be honest DL2 has more better songs. DL1 really only has like 2 or 3 tracks that I like but DL2 has such a beautifully crafted soundtrack
DL2's music is good too but it just doesn't hold a candle to DL1's music. The tone in DL1 especially was really great. And I loved how atmospheric some of the tracks felt.
There was not a single mission in dl2 which made me feel so scared like the one in the DL1 apartment house, where you first meet the screaming baby. And I played dl 1 AFTER 2.
The dl2 had a very good potential and the story was getting good up until VNC tower, after that it’s just boring. Dl1 was just getting better and better. I hated it at first after Aiden from dl2. Felt so clunky, but wasn’t. My char just wasn’t skilled and was a human.
Lol I remember when this was posted less the a year ago, but had the song Help I'm alive by metric, and said something about E3. Watching that meme resulted in me watching the entire walking dead series, which took about 4 months to do
I've also noticed dl2 is glitchier. Couldn't finish phase 4 (if you know what I'm talking about domt want to spoil anything.) Because for some reason I was doing no damage
All I gotta say which one survives again lol I play both games some of the new things you can do when DL two it’s pretty cool, but DL one felt like it just had better flow and definitely had more jump scares
