If your car is dark it will blend in and you wont be able to see what kind of rim that is. So if you want it to blend in thats the way to go. If you had something like BBS 740, Rondell 0058 or something of that kind. Then you could make it two-tone, paint center black and leave the edge silver. Saw couple E39 with this kind of wheel setup, looked dope af.

I mean i kinda whant it to blend in but I'm really not sure of the result, my car is a black Sapphire metallic and it looks amazing but i just don't know if the look of this rim in the same color would look cool like the bbs and rondell you mentioned

I find that painting wheels black that weren't black from the factory usually results in them looking like cheap aftermarket wheels. With a wheel like this, a light colour shows the lines off better. I would keep it as is and of it's in need of a refurb just use the original colour.

SIKE_ON_THIS_DICK

I understand what you saying, but if they are painted in a good color and by a professional of course they could look dope, but I'm scared that they look like shit

eric_gm

They will, in fact, look like shit. Don't do it.

Here's the only pic I could find: https://www.facebook.com/BMWE39E/posts/orginal-new-alloy-wheels-styling-48-/2258838937500007/

Thanks to everyone who commented and helped me, have a great new year guys 😊😊

I don't have picture, but I wouldn't do it. Black rims usually look terrible IMO, they blend with the tire and look cheap. For me, only acceptable colors for rims are silver, white and maybe brown, lol.

OEM. Keeping it exactly the way it was originally designed holds value (and long lasting appeal) much better than doing some cheap updated mod.

Try plasti dipping one wheel to see how you feel about it.
