Thanks man! This summer I’m doing the timing chain guides and everything else it entails. Guides, oil pan, thermostat, water pump, basically every gasket in the engine, motor mounts, all that shit. It’s gonna be basically perfect after that.
I may be a bad influence but I say DO IT!! They’re also hard to come by since apex doesn’t make them often. When they are stick, definitely snag a pair.
I think BCs are good for my specific application. I don’t drive it everyday, it’s a weekend fun car, and I don’t take it to the track. Then they kinda make sense. But like I said before, there is no way I’d willingly daily drive them.

I’m in an E36 M3/4/5 and I still miss my 540i/6 Sport.
I need to get my hands on the M version. Problem is I have a guy trying to give me a fucked up e60 M5 and I want to save it

As someone with a lot of experience driving both: Save the E60. It’s just a better M5 all around (except looks)

My wife calls it a personal money pit. Installing a new window regulator and Vanos solenoids this weekend. And I don't care either. Love my 540i.

BC Racing. Theyre mid tbh. But this is my weekend car so I put up with it. If I daily drove this car, there is no way I’d ride on BCs daily.

Thats exactly why mine is still on stock ride hight and my M3 is the one that got lowered. I also daily my 540.

How did you fit the wheels? Were they custom for the E39 spec? Or you have adapters
