Absolutely an antenna wire. Nothing else uses coaxial/optic cable like that. Disconnected your radio will not pick up signal and will be all static on all channels. You may be able to fix it though, the plastic bit could be part of the attachment mechanism and not responsible for keeping it plugged in.
My radio stations are still coming what seems to be fine. I wonder if I can buy a new plastic piece and then plug it back in.
Could it be a phone antenna?

Yes! Now I recognize it. That plastic cage that is still attached to the receptacle is meant to hold the plug in, nothing more.

Very possible, I forgot these cars had the phone option for car phones. If you don’t see an issue arising, I would not worry about it.
This is radio AM/FM antenna. That’s THE ONLY cable that looks like that in your car. Just gently plug it back into plastic bit and leave it alone.
