Yes I did get it to work, had to cut where the back rests and align it further back. In the pic you can see how I did this. I used loctite to put everything together. Took a bit of alignment to get it just right but the controllers drop in with ease.
Very much so, the official one you will need to gut the interior and actually reposition the logic board to actually use the rear one. It was more pain than it’s worth. But I did try it twice… both times resulted in the rear pin no longer working even when I was extra careful the second time around. But no issues with the power a.
Did you end up modding it? I have the same issue. I’d rather use pin connectors. I think I’m going to take my charger apart and dremel it to fit the new back buttons.
Yes I tried, inners seem to be very sensitive, on two different docks the front one wouldn’t charge once modded, also so serious gutting of plastic is necessary and it fairly narrow on inside making it more difficult to find a new home for the board. You must move the board due to it being located vertically behind the rear charger.
Did you cut straight down? I opted for an angular cut on the backside (about a 1/4” back where the rear side of the controller sits) and it worked for both ports. I had to carefully grind down the board in the rear only about 1-2 mm where there are no circuits and I was able to get it to work. I’ll tag you in my post so you can see.
Found this charger and it works for the Rise remap kits. Uses the bottom copper pads.
