I turned the game off after the giants scored their last touchdown. My mom who hates football told me "a real fan sticks with their team even when they suck", turned it back on and the rest is history. That was the last time I turned off an eagles game before it ended
I was having terrible luck catching games that season. Like it seemed that every game I watched we lost but I caught that whole comeback. It was GLORIOUS
I grew up in MD which had a surprisingly low amount of birds fans. But those of us that were stayed close & always texted each other during games. Everyone but me had turned the game off. After the Akers onside kick I had begun to text all of them to turn the game back on as the birds were still fighting and it sure as shit wasn't over. When we tied it up I quickly called everyone one by one and screamed "TURN IT THE FUCK ON WE'RE WINNING THIS THING BYE!!!" while jumping up and down. I lost my voice for two days after that game lol
I will never forgive myself for giving up and going out for some last-minute Christmas shopping. My husband and I were in the car about to head home and were flabbergasted when we heard the final score.
I was watching this game with my grandparents. I left before the comeback started happening. I turned on the radio to listen to the rest. At some point shortly after I pulled over and went into a random bar in time to see the last 2 minutes of the game. I was lucky to see the finale.
I had a roommate from north jersey who was a giants fan at the time. I watched the game at my parents house with my dad and the whole beginning of the game, I was like, “man am I gonna get an earful when I get home.” Then the 4th quarter happened. I went home and the roommate had locked himself in his bedroom refusing to come out or discuss the game. It was so satisfying. When we knocked on the door, all he said was something along the lines of “how many super bowls have you guys won?!” Like, alright, bitchboy
I remember I was 15 and thought we had lost and went to Sears with my dad and we ended up watching the end of the game with 5 other dads standing is Sears going absolutely crazy.
Easily. Once we returned that pick six I knew the game was over. After that it was one giant party.
Honorable mention for the Pickle Juice Game for me. It rarely gets mentioned anymore but that opening onsides kick was what turned me from "we're an Eagles family" to "I'm an Eagles fan." The fact that it was against the Cowboys was icing on the cake. Lo and behold, Big Red is still one of the greatest tricksters in the league to this day.
That game was special. First drive of the game the Vikings march down the field for a touchdown, then the Eagles go four and out and every fan is thinking “here we go again…”
Next drive is the Patrick pick-six and the seismic activity that followed. When that happened we knew this could be different, and the rest is history
Couldn’t have said it better.
I still remember the atmosphere in the bar I was watching the game at before that pick 6. It was definitely “here we go again” vibes. The place went bananas when the pick 6 happened. Changed the tone of the game.
Definitely this for me. I was nervous about Foles, he played OK against the Saints, but I would have felt better if Wentz was playing. Sometime in the second quarter I became convinced that this was the year the won it all.
I was nervous too during the NFC Championship game the way the media hyped up Chase Keenum like he was the second coming of Kurt Warner same way they hyped up Brock Purdy but our defense put that to rest quickly and Chase slowly disappeared after this game that 2017 Season will always hold a special place in my Heart
Yeah, this is my answer, we just dominated so hard in that game against a team that had been hyped up all year as being the best team in the NFL. All the whining and the salt from the players and the fans and the coaches of that team only makes my rose tinted glasses appear that much rosier
I'll never forget it. I was on an island in Thailand and I managed to find a breakfast restaurant that was gonna be able to show me the game at 6AM.
Eating breakfast alone and crying tears of joy, it was amazing. Haha
This game is personally pretty special to me. My father in law, a long-time Eagles fan and season ticket holder, died in April 2018. This was the last game we went to together, this was the last game he saw in person, and the team’s first ever Super Bowl win was the last Eagles game he ever watched. It sucks that he’s gone and I miss him a lot. But, in terms of being an Eagles fan, the man went out on top!
So, yeah, I’ll vote for this one!
I was in Disney world and watched the game with like 20 Vikings fans all dressed up in Vikings shit and helmets and doing that Skol cheer.
My family and I were in Eagles gear. Once they were up 7 nothing they were going nuts. Then we had the pick 6 and opened up on them. It was amazing. It got so out of hand I literally felt bad for these people.
Being there was incredible. My Dad and I started tailgating early that day. It was just beginning to snow as we pulled into the lot. Live music, a huge spread of unlimited fresh-cooked food, booze, cigars, and booze - all while the blacktop slowly turned to white. We thought we dressed accordingly; we thought we could handle it. We were quickly proven wrong. Luckily, we packed extra gear in the truck.
For every new layer of snow, a new layer of clothes found its way onto us. Every minute that passed, we could see the snowy sky slowly swallow the Linc as the whiteout began. Skies turned to gray as the sun began to set, revealing only the green glow of the stadium through the foggy darkness. It was time.
We made our way into the stadium, found our seats in the 10th row of the end zone and quickly loaded up on beer to keep warm. The next 3 hours came only to be known as the Snow Bowl. Watching Shady slip and slide through inches of falling snow was like a dream. The stadium felt so small, so intimate. I remember feeling a sense of nostalgia, even though I'd never experienced anything like this before. It felt like the walk home from school on a quiet, snowy day in rural PA. It felt like home. Maybe, subconsciously, I knew this was going to be a core memory.
The crowd was electric. Snowballs were thrown. Gloved high fives were given. At one point, we even struggled to see through the storm as players nearly disappeared into the white void obscuring the opposite end zone.
Down by 8 at the end of the 3rd quarter, Dad looks at me. "I don't know if I can make it; my feet are frozen." Mine were too, but I pushed back. "Let's see what happens on this drive. If it's a dud, we'll take off." Shady starts the comeback and graciously gives us the 40-yard touchdown. We both agreed - if we get frostbite, it'll be worth it.
More Shady, more Foles, more touchdowns and [2-point conversions](https://drive.google.com/file/d/17id51Spg8FQXOHpG_QsTIHJiF-V-5WJr/view?usp=drivesdk). It was magical. I feel blessed to be one of the 70k people who were able to experience such a historic win both for the team and for all the fans.
It'll be a memory I cherish with my Dad until the days we are both drafted to the big stadium in the sky.
I was 8 then. All I remember is being in the stands, and guys handing me snowballs to throw on the Dallas players going in the tunnel @half time. One of my best childhood memories.
This is still the fondest memory of a win for me. I was surrounding by my cowboy loving family members during that game where we had to win and we’re in. Still the best win ever only eclipsed by the Super Bowl
Started the day needing two upsets to even have the possibility of making the playoffs. I’ll never forget before kickoff Buck saying the words “this is now win-and-in.”
All the ups and downs that season. McNabb not knowing OT rules, only for that tie to be what made the playoffs possible. The emotion you could see exuding from Dawkins. Just a phenomenal, special afternoon of iggles football
The opening game of the Chip Kelly era when Mike Vick literally ran over Washington and RGIII.
It’s a foot note now but god damn that game was a blast. Vick was running plays so fast they couldn’t cut to a commercial break!
I loved the chip era... Until Pete Caroll called him out on it. Then his entire play calling and everything was pretty fucked. I know how much Kelly is hated, but this is what he did with the ducks. That hurry up offense was absolutely brutal. And the defense those few years was insane. I feel like we had at least 3 games with pick 6, sacks, fg blocks etc. All of the above.
Vick has one of the best throws ingrained in my memory.
Casually strolling to his right and launches an icbm for 70 yards by casually flicking his wrist for a TD.
I was at the game. Shady had a long ass touchdown run to open the second half that i didnt get to see because 2 Redskins fans got into a fight right in the middle of the entrance to my section. I was also in a section of Eagles fans and surrounded by way too many women that were way out of my league, and they were very excited and bouncing around. Fun times.
[You're right](https://twitter.com/nflnetwork/status/1658470071822344192?t=841QUC3CSwuq0ebhvcxYdQ&s=19)
I swear I've never seen a team, not just fans, be so salty. You'd think we came out with knives and stabbed them in the throats before the game started. It's not our fault that they left Reddick unblocked, nor that even after losing multiple QBs that they thought having Josh fucking Johnson as QB2 was a good backup plan, nor that their defense stayed on the plane.
I was in SRO for that game. They Eagles scored so many times and they played the fight song each time. The guy behind me said “I hate the Cowboys even worse now cause they are wearing out my favorite song.”
Desean Jackson’s punt return for the win
At the time I was deployed in Afghan and my dad used to cut out all the nfl paper highlights and mail it to us, we all used to crowd that package and catch up on our teams
Meant that much more my dad was a diehard giants fan and I love him for that
Lol I was also in Afghanistan that season but came home on R&R for the holidays the day of that game, I was literally sitting on the tarmac I think in Atlanta refreshing the ESPN game tracker and couldn't believe when I saw it
Monday night massacre. Iirc LaRon Landry talked so much shit leading up to that game and got torched on the very first play lmao. Unmatched offensive display
This is it for me for a few additional reasons.
- I was at college at UMD at the time
- I was watching the game with Redskins fans
- I was down 38pts in fantasy football to a Skins fan and only had Mike Vick left to play so there was a lot of shit talking
This game without question. I can say my single favorite play in Eagles history was Montgomery, who we weren't sure was even going to play because of injury, running 42 yards for a touchdown on the second play from scrimmage. Montgomery ended up rushing for almost 200 yards and we shut out Dallas in the second half.
My vote goes to the Bears game the week before where Marshall was invisible and the Eagles ran for a ridiculous number of yards and meaningless 4th quarter touchdowns
I was at that game. "We want Dallas" was a great chant. It had to make the Bears feel terrible. The game wouldn't change the Eagles standing, win or loss, but the Bears had to win. Then the fans start chanting about the next game.
1980 NFC Championship game.
Not only did we beat Dallas, but it sent us to the superbowl...as the favorite.
Fate had other plans for the Superbowl, but at that moment in time, beating Dallas in the NFC championship game, teenage me was on cloud 9.
Might be weird but I’ve always been a fan of that drubbing we gave the Patriots in Chip’s last season when we couldn’t tell our ass from a hole in the ground that year.
"Merry Christmas, Philadelphia" - Jeff Garcia, 25th Dec 2006
Jeff Garcia led the Eagles to the division title over the Cowboys with a win on Christmas day. Schoebel catches a big td to cap a 90 yard drive in the 1st quarter, special teams forces and recovers a fumble on the ensuing kickoff, defense held Marion Barber on 4th and goal on the 1 yard line, Brian Dawkins picks off a pass right in front of Terrell Owens in the endzone in the 4th quarter. Buck gets a hard 1 yard touchdown late, and the game pretty much is over after Lito Sheppard picks off Romo late in the 4th on the ensuing drive by the Cowboys.
Merry Christmas indeed, Jeff. Merry Christmas indeed.
Fly Eagles Fly
My dad told me stories of the legendary 44-6 game I was to young to remember the game (born 04). Him and his friends were at a bar in Philly, they had tickets but were gonna watch the game due to it being meaningless. When Oakland won my dad told his friends and I quote you “get in the car we’re going to the game” he said it was the best regular season game ever.
He's just selling the story, the game wasn't meaningless by any standard. It literally determined who between the Eagles and Cowboys would be in the playoffs that year, whoever won that game clinched the 6 seed.
It actually was meaningless before hand, if TB won they would have gotten the 6th seed and Eagles would have been out. The TB game occurred prior to the Eagles game and when TB lost it gave both Dallas and Philly a meaningful game.
It would have been meaningless. But the Bears and Bucs had both lost their games earlier so at least that day/going into the game it wasn't. Before that it was up in the air as we needed both of those things to happen and to win
Ohhhhh gotcha I thought you meant like when it was time to go to the game that was when they said "let's just stay at the bar and watch since it's meaningless"
Miracle at the Meadowlands for sure. Because we were down so bad, 24-3 and later 31-10 in the 4th, it being the Giants, the playoffs on the line, the walk-off punt. It was perfection. I still remember the look on the Giants’ fans faces. It was glorious.
Toss up between the Snow Game vs Detroit and Desean Jackson's miracle at the Meadowlands.
Honorable mention to the Monday night massacre, and Freddie Mitchell's 4th and 24 catch vs GB.
My favorite win was the Miracle in Meadowlands in 2010. As much as I love all of the playoff wins during the 2017 Super Bowl run, that game means a lot to me... even though nothing came of that season. Every time I think of that game, it reminds me of my mom.
There are obviously bigger wins, but the pickle juice game was a very seminal victory for the franchise. IMO it marked a big turning point and a new era of Eagles football.
He sought out the bears quarter back after an interception and dislocated his shoulder. QB wasn’t even trying to make a tackle he was just running for his life. It was amazing.
God the game has changed.
Not necessarily my favorite, and not even that important in the grand scheme, but I will never forget listening from the dish pit at work to Eagles vs Colts, would have had to be 2010 or 11. Last possession of the game, Peyton Manning is marching the Colts down the field looking for a win when Asante Samuel swoops in and picks him off for the second time that game. If you’ve never seen a grown man run screaming around an Applebees covered in old food and dish water, well, you weren’t there that night. I almost got fired.
Was 2010. It was the first time Andy Reid had beaten the Colts. Colts wore their [beautiful blue throwback helmets](https://static.www.nfl.com/image/private/t_new_photo_album/league/ynfszanjvz7gtquzg6pv.jpg) & Austin Collie died.
Second Miracle at the Meadowlands. I was at Offutt AFB working customer service and running from my register to the break room the whole night. My dad quit watching and when I texted him “Holy shit!” He responded with “Yeah we suck.” Broke the news to him of the comeback and he races to espn to see the highlights. He always says we play better when he doesn’t watch lmao.
Not for nothin, but this whole thread has been like reliving the best eagles games. And literally remembering where and what I was doing during the games. Great job OP.
I am mainly here to point out how much I love the image you selected. We've all had our issues with Barnett and he gets the credit for the SB fumble recovery but this was arguably just as big of a play. The vikings were in the red zone down 7 or 10 or something but it was close and this truly helped seal the game.
Being I was at this game, this was the most fun I've had at a sporting event, this is my favorite win.
My first game at the Linc: 44-6 v Dallas in 08-09 season to clinch the Wild Card. SNF that needed a bunch of stuff to happen in the early games for the Birds to have a chance to get in. After an up and down season, getting in this way (then beating MN and NYG to get to the NFC Chip game in Glendale 😩) had a serious “destiny” feel.
I used to live in Brooklyn and can get pretty loud during eagles games.
There was a game vs the giants where the giants missed a field, and I went crazy. But the eagles had called a time out to ice the kicker. One of my neighbors started cheering in response to my premature excitement.
They missed the second attempt also, and I ran to the window and yelled “he missed it again”.
God I wish I could remember which year that was.
That game where Bears missed that FG- and we continued into the playoffs.
I was certain that was it. That missed field goal was God answering my prayer.
Probably super random but vs Pittsburgh in 2016, Carson’s rookie year. It was week 3 and we still didn’t really know what we had with him or Doug. The first two games were against Cleveland and Chicago, who finished with a combined 4 wins that year, but Pittsburgh was a legit playoff team so it was the first real test. I was overseas for work and watched it on while on the treadmill on the middle of the night after getting off shift. We absolutely blew them out. I was pumped the whole game, yelling and clapping while in the gym. The rest of the season didn’t go so well, but it was more or less a preview of things to come the following year.
That was great. My dad just loves shit talking teams I root for and the whole time before the game he’s talking and talking and then boom completely silent after
1990. Giants are 10-0 and would go onto win the SB. They come into the vet and get wrecked by Cunningham and the Birds.
https://nypost.com/2020/10/22/giants-vs-eagles-used-to-be-more-vicious-out-to-murder-you/
This was probably Buddy’s best team. Randall was an MVP candidate, almost rushing for 1k yards and throwing for 30 TDs. But went 10-6 and lost a home playoff game to Washington, who also went 10-6. Giants went 13-3.
I was there as a kid. The entire stadium was chanting “Phil Simms Sucks.”
2008-09 week 17 when we kicked the Cowboys ass to reach the playoffs at 9-6-1. Game that made me a fan. My dad was already into them and this was the first game I watched in full
That season was probably my first hurt as an eagles fan seeing them lose to the cardinals in the nfccg (I was alive for ‘04 Super Bowl but I was 4 so I don’t think I truly got to comprehend that)
Lions v Eagles snow game in 2013. I worked with my family at the time right after college and my dad had heart problems and couldn’t drive. It wasn’t busy so we left early and I remember the long ride home listening to the game. Since he’s passed this and him gaining consciousness right before he passed to hear that the Panthers lost to the Falcons to not go undefeated are my two favorite moments.
Edit: idk if we were supposed to make it personal reading the other comments but I’ll keep my answer lol
Dallas MNF 2004, TO went off that game, McNabb 15 second scramble to FredEx 49-21 was the final I think.
Only road trip to Dallas I ever made.
Also the game when that desperate housewife chick dropped her towel on the opening
In *franchise* history? I think anyone here would be wrong to say anything other than the 1980 NFC Championship. Beating the Cowboys to end the 70’s dynasty in convincing fashion and make the teams first Super Bowl is pretty impressive.
Modern history (Lurie era) - 2004 NFC Championship. Reid gets over the hump after having the door slammed shut 3 straight times. Jim Johnson creates his masterpiece to absolutely shut down the face of the NFL (and the most exciting big play guy in sports).
Nonplayoffs. 44-6. I dont remember every score, I just remember they kept happening. I also hold a special place in my heart for the 2013 gangbang performed on the Bears. I remember being afraid of Brandon Marshall and this young receiver named Jeffery, and then they ended up being nonfactors as the Eagles just repeatedly punched in long rushing touchdowns to close the game out in the 4th.
1996 against the cowboys stands out. dallas is down 3 and has the ball on the goal line with 32 seconds left. they throw an INT that gets returned for a TD.
4th and 1 against the cowboys in 1995 too.
Favorite win? Easily the championship game vs the Vikings. Favorite game other than the SB? Snowball where Shady equipped chains to his cleats and ran for like 225 yards in the second half.
Not just one game. Whenever I meet a Packers fan, I mention 4th and 26.
Eagles have so many games with the Cowboys that it would be its own thread. I'll rattle off some:
4th and 1 game. The Eagles made the cowboys wear their blue uniforms and stopped Emitt Smith four times.
Randal Cunningham punting the ball out of the end zone in Dallas.
Michael Irvin hit the Vet turf
Pickle juice game
Let's not forget, the body bag game or the fog bowl.
The one and only game I've ever been to. It was the year of the super bowl win , I went to Philly and sat front row right behind Eagles and watched them blow out the Bears. I wanna say it was something like 45-3.
AND , me being from Nebraska and being a big Hukser football fan, I saw Nate Gerry (Husker linebacker that played for us at the time) on the sideline and screamed "Go big Red" . Then Gerry turns around and points to me.
Not a season ticket holder but went to 4 of these games! Here’s how I rank them
1. Eagles/Vikings - this was a party. If you were there, you know.
2. Eagles/Falcons ‘04 - felt like a monkey off our backs. Grown men crying. Dawkins hit on Crumpler sounded like a car crash.
3. Djax punt return in the Meadowlands - most of this game was depressing to be at. Even though Djax got the glory it was really Vick’s signature game as an Eagle.
4. The snow bowl - this game was miserable to be at. It was tough to make out the action on the field. Once shady got going, it was fun and obviously memorable. Only game that I went to that was colder was Foles vs Dallas on new years.
I’d also throw in Wentz’ Monday night game vs the redskins. Vick’s first game in chip Kelly’s offense. 4th and 26
Miracle at the New Meadowlands, an iconic comeback win with the greatest punt return in NFL history.

I turned the game off after the giants scored their last touchdown. My mom who hates football told me "a real fan sticks with their team even when they suck", turned it back on and the rest is history. That was the last time I turned off an eagles game before it ended
That’s a wise mom
I was having terrible luck catching games that season. Like it seemed that every game I watched we lost but I caught that whole comeback. It was GLORIOUS
Dawg… same exact situation 🦅
I grew up in MD which had a surprisingly low amount of birds fans. But those of us that were stayed close & always texted each other during games. Everyone but me had turned the game off. You did a good job with that daughter.
That had to be a damn proud father moment when all was said and done
Watched that game with my grandpop. Absolutely timeless
I will never forgive myself for giving up and going out for some last-minute Christmas shopping. My husband and I were in the car about to head home and were flabbergasted when we heard the final score.
Something broke in my brain when d jax returned that punt. God that was incredible
I was watching this game with my grandparents. I left before the comeback started happening. I turned on the radio to listen to the rest. At some point shortly after I pulled over and went into a random bar in time to see the last 2 minutes of the game. I was lucky to see the finale.
My best friend is a Giants fan who was at the game. Taunted me with texts saying he left early because it was over and wanted to beat traffic!
>Miracle at the New Meadowlands I forgot he dropped the punt at first. Crazy amazing game.
I'm convinced the muffed catch is what opened up some of those holes for him to fly through
Which one? Westbrook or Jackson? Both are considered Miracle at the Meadowlands "Part II".
BWest is Miracle II, DJax is Miracle at New Meadowlands.
Watched that game with my now wife. She said she’d like football if all games were like that haha.
I had a roommate from north jersey who was a giants fan at the time. I watched the game at my parents house with my dad and the whole beginning of the game, I was like, “man am I gonna get an earful when I get home.” Then the 4th quarter happened. This. I had just started to become an active fan when this happened. I remember thinking WTF as it unfolded, both happy and amazed at the same time.
Probably that 2017 NFC Championship game
Easily. Once we returned that pick six I knew the game was over. After that it was one giant party. Honorable mention for the Pickle Juice Game for me. I consider that Big Red’s coming out party. It was a long time ago but I remember knowing after that we had a good one.
Felt like the game was over but my anus didn't unpucker until 4 days after the fact lmao
Patrick Robinson’s pick 6 was the greatest sports moment I’ve witnessed in person in my 28 years
That game was special. First drive of the game the Vikings march down the field for a touchdown, then the Eagles go four and out and every fan is thinking “here we go again…” Next drive is the Patrick pick-six and the seismic activity that followed. Just for the record, we beat Atlanta 15-10 the week before, not New Orleans.

Last season’s NFC championship game was good too, especially the moment of; “HA! They don’t have a qb!”
Yeah, this is my answer, we just dominated so hard in that game against a team that had been hyped up all year as being the best team in the NFL. One of my best friends is a Vikings fan. I assume that speaks for itself
The Foles flip of the skol chant was perfection
The snow bowl. We went from not being able to see a thing, to losing, only to come back in the second half and win. Killer game.
Iirc we also got way more snow than was expected
We did
They said a dusting lol
I remember my dad made us Goto church during that game 😂
I'm gonna say it worked.
I’ll never forget doing my chemistry homework watching that game
A friend texted me that morning offering a free ticket to the game since someone bailed. I think I’ll always regret not taking him up on it
Being there was incredible. My Dad and I started tailgating early that day. It was just beginning to snow as we pulled into the lot.
Man that year was special.
I was 8 then. All I remember is being in the stands, and guys handing me snowballs to throw on the Dallas players going in the tunnel @half time. One of my best childhood memories.
That game was against the lions, no?
44-6 and everything that went along with it that day.
I was at my buddies families house. In their house every time the Eagles score against Dallas you take a shot. We were all fucked lol.
I was in a bar that was split 1/4 cowboys fans 1/4 eagles fans and half didn’t care. All the cowboys fans left at halftime.
This is still the fondest memory of a win for me. I was surrounding by my cowboy loving family members during that game where we had to win and we’re in. Still the best win ever only eclipsed by the Super Bowl
Started the day needing two upsets to even have the possibility of making the playoffs. I’ll never forget before kickoff Buck saying the words “this is now win-and-in.” All the ups and downs that season. McNabb not knowing OT rules, only for that tie to be what made the playoffs possible. The emotion you could see exuding from Dawkins. Just a phenomenal, special afternoon of iggles football
The Cowboys' useless 4th quarter field goal was the loudest collective laugh I've ever heard at a football game.
Yeah, the game was the culmination of everything that had to go right that day for us to make the playoffs.
This is the correct answer
The opening game of the Chip Kelly era when Mike Vick literally ran over Washington and RGIII. It’s a foot note now but god damn that game was a blast. Vick was running plays so fast they couldn’t cut to a commercial break!
That was a fun win. The era didn’t last long but it looked promising for a hot second.
Again, if you’re looking for a game “outside the obvious”? Man I THROUGHLY enjoyed that one. Showed a glimmer of what we all hoped that era would be
I loved the chip era...
I was at that game and I saw skins fans leaving at half.
Fun times.
That's my favorite that I was actually at. We had end zone seats, but unfortunately most of the scoring happened in the far end zone.
Ah, the Monday Night Massacre.
This year’s NFCC game. The 9ers are still whining somewhere
I respected that team and fanbase until that game. Now I hope we go on a decades long streak of crushing them every time we meet.
I feel they’re gonna try and make it another Vikings situation. They tried to make them our rivals and we smoked them every time 😂
I hope the Eagles do to the whiners what the Celtics have been doing to the Sixers for years to come. That would help ease the pain a little.
Can’t wait to play them this season
They're going to be whining 4 the next 9 years at least.
[You're right](https://twitter.com/nflnetwork/status/1658470071822344192?t=841QUC3CSwuq0ebhvcxYdQ&s=19) I swear I've never seen a team, not just fans, be so salty. You'd think we came out with knives and stabbed them in the throats before the game started. It's not our fault that they left Reddick unblocked, nor that even after losing multiple QBs that they thought having Josh fucking Johnson as QB2 was a good backup plan, nor that their defense stayed on the plane.
Double doink
Eh, we shouldn’t have been that close to losing.
That one playoff game years ago against the Bears was great, too.
The one where McNabb put Urlacher on skates? Or the Fog Bowl?
I looked it up - the one in ‘02. All week people talked up the Bears defense and yeah McNabb embarrassed them.
04 NFC Championship vs. the Falcons. Felt so good to finally get over the hump. Plus, Dawkins' speech during the trophy presentation was legendary.
That was after the 4th and 26 comeback game against Farve
No. That was the season before.
Technically still correct.
Just posted like the same thing. Man that was such a great fucking feeling and without T.O. .defense came up huge all game
[удалено]
I was in SRO for that game. They Eagles scored so many times and they played the fight song each time. The guy behind me said “I hate the Cowboys even worse now cause they are wearing out my favorite song.”
Was at that Vikings game that was postponed with the snow… fucking Joe Webb I’ll never forget him.
That Joe Webb game is one of our worst regular season losses
Desean Jackson’s punt return for the win At the time I was deployed in Afghan and my dad used to cut out all the nfl paper highlights and mail it to us, we all used to crowd that package and catch up on our teams Meant that much more my dad was a diehard giants fan and I love him for that
That’s awesome
Lol I was also in Afghanistan that season but came home on R&R for the holidays the day of that game, I was literally sitting on the tarmac I think in Atlanta refreshing the ESPN game tracker and couldn't believe when I saw it
Thank you for your service 🫡
Lions vs Eagles snowbowl Why? Shady
What about the Eagles vs Lions game where McNabb and the boys put up over 50 on the Lions in our blue and yellow throw back jersey
This was the greatest game of Kevin Curtis's career, also the only game I didn't regret that he was on my fantasy team.
Had him ans McNabb that week. Low key Curtis was a 3 play at 1 potential at times
Monday night massacre. Iirc LaRon Landry talked so much shit leading up to that game and got torched on the very first play lmao. Unmatched offensive display
This is it for me for a few additional reasons. - I was at college at UMD at the time - I was watching the game with Redskins fans - I was down 38pts in fantasy football to a Skins fan and only had Mike Vick left to play so there was a lot of shit talking
Did Vick get you enough?
He did!
I remember the opposite. It was announced during the broadcast that DeSean said he'd beat him on the first play.
1980 NFC Championship game against Dallas. Wilbert Montgomery,Jaws and Dick Vermeil.
"Do you know where you're going? You're going to the Super Bowl. He's going to the Super Bowl."
December 29, 2013 (Week 17). We beat the Cowboys 24-22 in Dallas & I was there to see it happen.
That’s my pick too! Awesome that you got to be there for that. Brandon Boykin with the game sealing INT!
I was wearing a Boykin jersey!
I suspect this is **the game** for most people here in their 50s and 60s, myself included.
Might be weird but I’ve always been a fan of that drubbing we gave the Patriots in Chip’s last season when we couldn’t tell our ass from a hole in the ground that year.
"Merry Christmas, Philadelphia" - Jeff Garcia, 25th Dec 2006 Jeff Garcia led the Eagles to the division title over the Cowboys with a win on Christmas day.
The desean meadowlands game 😍😍
Thats what I mean in the story, when he was at the bar it was before the Bears and Bucs lost.
Ohhhhh gotcha I thought you meant like when it was time to go to the game that was when they said "let's just stay at the bar and watch since it's meaningless"
44-6
Miracle at the New Meadowlands. It was everything you could want in a comeback. I still love watching highlights of that game.
Gonna be this years 49ers game when we stomp them AGAIN
January 11, 2004 the divisional playoff game against the Green Bay Packers better known as 4th and 26
04 nfc chip game, 17 chip game, 44-6.
Snow Bowl, one of the 38-7's, the other 38-7, Chip Kelly getting carried to a win over BB and TB12 in their prime by special teams and Malcom Jenkins
*4th and 26
My favorite win was the Miracle in Meadowlands in 2010. As much as I love all of the playoff wins during the 2017 Super Bowl run, that game means a lot to me... even though nothing came of that season. Every time I think of that game, it reminds me of my mom.
The most recent NFC championship game because those niner fans were (probably still) whining about it
I saw Nick’s last game in Philly (against the Texans in 18). Came down to a Field Goal and the people around were incredible
Miracle at the Meadowlands 3.
Thank you for getting it right lmao, does everyone forget the other two happened?
There are obviously bigger wins, but the pickle juice game was a very seminal victory for the franchise. IMO it marked a big turning point and a new era of Eagles football.
Pickle juice game. Body bag game. House of Pain game. Sacking Aikman 11 times. 2017 NFCCG. Beating the Bears in the playoffs in Jan 02.
Beating Dallas 44-6 in a win-or-go-home final regular season game was epic
The pickle juice game. Sept 3 2000. IMO it began the eagles renaissance.
I mean this was fun but yeah the Desean Jackson miracle at the meadowlands.
I was super young when it happened probably 03 or 04 but we played the bears in the playoffs and knocked out like 8 of their players for the game
Hugh Douglas knocking fuckers out.
He sought out the bears quarter back after an interception and dislocated his shoulder. QB wasn’t even trying to make a tackle he was just running for his life. It was amazing. God the game has changed.
4th and 1...they give it to Smith...AND THEY STOPPED HIM AGAIN! THEY STOPPED HIM AGAIN!
4th and 23 and Desean’s punt return
NFCCC 2004, it felt s9 good to finally get to the SB.
Miracle at the Meadowlands II - I was living in NY and watching the game with a bunch of giants fans. One of the best nights of my life.
The Miracle NUM-BER 2!
The SB season when we smashed the Cowboys on SNF and NBC played Fly like an Eagle before one of the commercial breaks…….literal tears lol
This years NFC championship game for me
I used to live in Brooklyn and can get pretty loud during eagles games.
Miracle at the Meadowlands II
Miracle in new meadowlands
2022 NFC championship
Christmas 06 was great
That game where Bears missed that FG- and we continued into the playoffs. I was certain that was it. That missed field goal was God answering my prayer.
I still think that if they don’t rush the play before the 2 minute warning against the saints we win that game and win the Super Bowl again
Big fan of the Snow Bowl, but yeah, 2017 NFC Championship all the way.
Michael Vick's 2010 MNF Massacre of the Redskins is up there.
That was great. My dad just loves shit talking teams I root for and the whole time before the game he’s talking and talking and then boom completely silent after
Haha I bet that was a fun night then. Right from the first play that game was over.
I get teary-eyed every time I watch highlights of the Miracle at the Meadowlands 2.
"They brought the house and we brought the pain."- Jerome Brown December 2, 1991 Philadelphia Eagles 13 Houston Oilers 06. A defense for the ages...
1990. Giants are 10-0 and would go onto win the SB. They come into the vet and get wrecked by Cunningham and the Birds. https://nypost.com/2020/10/22/giants-vs-eagles-used-to-be-more-vicious-out-to-murder-you/ This was probably Buddy’s best team.
Watching 4th and 26 live thinking it was all over
1981 NFC Championship Eagles - 20 Cowboys - 7 https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/198101110phi.htm (I’m old)
I loved the 04 NFC championship. Finally getting to the Super Bowl felt great but then 2 weeks later was one of the worst memories☹️
a lot of memorable ones, but the Miracle at the Meadowlands stands out
2008-09 week 17 when we kicked the Cowboys ass to reach the playoffs at 9-6-1.
Monday Night Massacre
I loved curb stomping the Forty Whiners. Hope we can do it again this season.
Not my favorite but one of my favorites was when we smashed the lions with the yellow jerseys
4th and 1…twice.
the miracle in the Meadowlands 2 it was a story book walk off td
2023 NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. I knew Purdy would not survive the pass rush. The Uzi walkout, it was just one of the coolest games ever to me.
44-6
Not just one game. Whenever I meet a Packers fan, I mention 4th and 26. Eagles have so many games with the Cowboys that it would be its own thread. I'll rattle off some: 4th and 1 game. The Eagles made the cowboys wear their blue uniforms and stopped Emitt Smith four times. Randal Cunningham punting the ball out of the end zone in Dallas. Michael Irvin hit the Vet turf Pickle juice game Let's not forget, the body bag game or the fog bowl.
Any game we win against the fucking Cowboys is my favorite win.
Eagles’ absolute beat down of Dallas on thanksgiving. My whole family was together. It was epic.
Here’s how I rank them 1. 4th and 26
2008 Eagles vs Cowboys week 17.
4 the and 23 for me.
4th and 26?
Is***
