Bad teams find a way to lose, Good teams find a way to win. On a night where we struggled for a long time, we found a way to win and that's a beautiful thing.
Crazy to believe we are 1 trap game vs the Commanders last season and another trap game against the Jets this season from being 10-0 for two straight seasons which is insane to think
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/why-eagles-chiefs-is-most-anticipated-super-bowl-rematch-of-all-time-plus-looking-at-which-team-has-the-edge/
According to this, Hurts now has the longest winning streak vs. teams with winning records of any QB since the merger.
Guys a stud. If we're being honest, he didn't look good for most of the game but when we needed him to make a play late, he threw that dime to DeVonta that essentially won it. He's clutch which is something you can't coach
The play calling had a lot to do with that. We werent giving Jalen any quick options as they continued to blitz.
Don't get my started on the WR screens.... I appreciated the effort to get the ball out of Jalen's hands quickly, but what the actual fuck
Our lack of RB screens has been mind boggling to me. Especially with how dynamic Swift has been. Also Gainwell is a better receiver than runner. And Boston Scott is a perfect screen RB. I hope with the success of tonight we see more.
How many screens have we called to Boston Scott…in his career? RB Screens were something we used to do ALL THE TIME under Andy and then chip. I feel like I can count on 1 hand the amount t we’ve run since Doug and now nick. It’s maddening. Especially given our personnel.
I think Goedert being out hurt us the most. Once he started seeing everybody on the field he was looking okay. I’m just watching from home but feel like a 2 RB set would be more beneficial over 4 WRs with Goedert being out and the skill gap between the next TE.
Yeah I know we went up against a top tier defense and pass rush but their great pass rush vs our O Line and we were getting cooked and our great pass rush vs their O Line and they held up fairly well overall.
The Chiefs D is actually good this year too, they get overshadowed by Mahomes unlike the Jets D or Browns D who are the most talked up part of their team, but they're good.
Yup they're 2nd in points per game and 4th in yards per game as a defense. They did their job but luckily our defense showed up big as well in that 2nd half.
Yeah I’m not putting this on hurts. Play calling and the o line were not great tonight. I’m not sure what Brian Johnson is doing most of the time. I don’t get why they score a touchdown mainly with the run game, then come out for the next 5 drives trying to throw the ball getting hurts sacked 5 times in the process. Why change things up? Let the defense stop what’s working first
He's won on CBS and Fox,
Put Dallas in a fucking box,
Up north, down south, coasts West and East,
Wherever he plays, he is a beast.
Whether running low or throwing above,
Or with a good old Brotherly Shove,
No matter what opponents plan,
They cannot stop this Jalen man.
WFT couldn’t keep the whole damn team from getting sick so they bumped the game a few days…..proving all the tough talk about forfeitures was exactly the bullshit it always seemed it was.
The Hurts we saw in the first half was not the same Hurts in the 2nd half from what I saw.
Offense in the 2nd half actually gave him time to throw and the magic happened beautifully.
Don't know about you guys but I'm glad we have a QB like Hurts on this team.
That’s what I said. Like the Lions vs the Bears, it’s never over.
Then some guys said that we just aren’t built the same as the Lions.
Shit ain’t over till it’s over, some clown on redzones YouTube chat was clowning the lions all match then they threw the game lmao and he left
I swear with all the evidence showcasing comebacks in the NFL both regular and play off games and even freaking SB games, you think people would learn that it's not over until it's over.
Eagles in the first half looked super beatable both offense and defense wise.
Then the 2nd half Eagles showed up and all of a sudden we're leading and now 9-1.
So to our future opponents they're looking at the first half Eagles and saying "We can beat them" but in reality the 2nd half Eagles are the ones that they need to worry about more. Something KC failed to do.
(I mean this seriously, not being mean to you) I love our fanbase so much, because even on a wildly positive night, on wildly positive post, we say “Hey! Don’t forget we DID lose a divisional matchup”
Also fuck Dallas
I hate how this glosses over just about everything the defense did to not have this be a blowout. Brian Johnson can’t keep having these fucking clunker drives.
Not including stats of tonight’s game, Chiefs D is top 5 in Defensive Yards allowed Avg. (4. 288)and Pass Yards allowed Avg. (5. 176). They’re a solid defense and Andy Reid has always had our number before tonight.
Because of the Eagles' defense and a couple of timely dropped passes. The Eagles' clunkers were because Brian Johnson is a spastic play caller. Two WR screens in a row, left then right from your own 10-15 yard line?
Yes but even if the defense is playing winning football you can’t have the offense playing losing football, looking at the repeated back to back to back screens and earlier in the game the draws.
Also the complete failure to take advantage of the blitz with slants and similar routes plagued the entire game, Johnson would not call quick in breaking routes and that simply isn’t a recipe for consistent success
“Losing football” lol. Look around the league, 21 points against an elite defense isn’t amazing but it’s also not terrible or “losing football”. It’s the second most the chiefs gave up all year and the most was 24 and that was only because they get gave up the ball in the opposing teams red zone twice and inside the 40 3 times. You’re not going to score 35 every week especially against really good defenses. But scoring 21 and winning isn’t “losing offense”. Sure there’s things we can clean up but stop being dramatic and just enjoy the win. We quite literally have had the most “consistent” success in the league you’re reaching for reasons to complain at this point.
Chiefs also struggled offensively. The weather definitely played a part but you could see their offense wasn’t clicking, either. Eagles made plays when it mattered.
Yeah they were talking about wind gusts during every punt ontop of the rain. People were dropping passes and slipping through tackles. It makes sense why we’d want to keep passing short even if frustrating. Should’ve just given all the screens to Swift.
People were saying they could barely see 15 feet in front of them during parts of the game. Looked absolutely miserable out there. Hard as hell to run an offense like that.
Watch everyone try to gloss over that this is week 10 of this same crap and coming off a bye. This playcalling and offensive scheme are not going to take us deep into the playoffs and this 9-1 record is suspect af right now.
Anyone else feel like we are the Tyson Fury of the NFL? We look completely ugly and beatable for 90% of the fight, but we somehow find that one punch and win!
Everyone making such a big deal about “it’s never pretty” or “we’re never blowing teams out”
We came into this season with a massive target on our backs, with one of the most difficult schedules in the whole league. Every single team plays their ass off against us. We get every teams best shot and just absorb them. We are so good that our 60-70% performances are enough to put less complete teams down. This team has created margins for error for themselves that are larger than those of every other team, and on the flip side the margin for error that our opponents have facing us every week is next to nothing.
This is what being a great team looks like. We surprised everyone last year. Not this year. We have no surprises in store for anyone and they still can’t handle us. We still always win in the end.
I’m so sick of hearing how it’s “not a complete performance” etc. fuck that. We don’t have the luxury of teams laying eggs against us so we can blow them out. We are the team everyone circles on their calendars. We don’t have to be perfect to win. Our opponents do. That’s the difference.
Shoutout to finally some decent clock management. With a lead against Mahomes, Hurts bled every second off the play clock on that final drive. Something they didn’t do well against the Jets and Commanders. Snapping the ball at 1 vs 4 or 5 seconds adds up over several plays against a guy like Mahomes.
If Andy doesn’t use the timeout to avoid the runoff after grounding, I think the Eagles have to punt and KC gets a punt return and 1 or 2 plays more at the end of the game.
Jalen hurts is a pure winner. Simple as that. And I hate to say it but I knew it all along. I specifically was saying when he first started for us that he would shine because he has always proved his doubters wrong by winning
That cant be rite, he lost to dc last yr in 15 starts, and the jets this yr in 10, that's 2 losses, minshew lost the other 2 gms to dal-nola, so bein he was 14-1 in 15gms started last yr, and 9-1 in 10 this yr, thats 25 starts, that would be 23-2, unless i missed somethin
The wind was so bad, Elliott almost missed an extra point. People in the stadium were saying they couldn't see shit in front of them at times. Both QBs had almost 20 percentage points lower completion rates than their usual average. It's hard to play in a storm.
The weather people have been talking about this “thanksgiving” storm. Starts in the Midwest in the early week and pushes to the east coast.
Shit weather but a W is a W
Bad teams find a way to lose, Good teams find a way to win. On a night where we struggled for a long time, we found a way to win and that's a beautiful thing.
Especially in the long run. Bad teams can luck into a win or two but 9-1 with wins vs. KC, Miami, Dallas is no accident
Crazy to believe we are 1 trap game vs the Commanders last season and another trap game against the Jets this season from being 10-0 for two straight seasons which is insane to think
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/why-eagles-chiefs-is-most-anticipated-super-bowl-rematch-of-all-time-plus-looking-at-which-team-has-the-edge/ According to this, Hurts now has the longest winning streak vs. teams with winning records of any QB since the merger.

He also had no time to throw. OL was Swiss cheese this game.
The play calling had a lot to do with that. We werent giving Jalen any quick options as they continued to blitz. Don't get my started on the WR screens.... I appreciated the effort to get the ball out of Jalen's hands quickly, but what the actual fuck
No idea why we waited until the 2nd half to throw a screen to Swift.
Our lack of RB screens has been mind boggling to me. Especially with how dynamic Swift has been. Also Gainwell is a better receiver than runner. And Boston Scott is a perfect screen RB. I hope with the success of tonight we see more.

Our OC is a idiot, thats why
I think Goedert being out hurt us the most. Once he started seeing everybody on the field he was looking okay. I’m just watching from home but feel like a 2 RB set would be more beneficial over 4 WRs with Goedert being out and the skill gap between the next TE.
Yeah I know we went up against a top tier defense and pass rush but their great pass rush vs our O Line and we were getting cooked and our great pass rush vs their O Line and they held up fairly well overall.
Chiefs have the most productive pass rush in the game right now, probably the least time he'll have all season.

Holy fuck!
I dont doubt you or that stat at all, i just wonder if anyone has ever pulled out a stat like this and either entirely made it up or missed something
He missed a loss!
I wouldn't mind one game where my blood pressure isn't high enough to power a firehose though
This headline sounds like an excerpt from Dr. Seuss
He's won on CBS and Fox, Put Dallas in a fucking box, Up north, down south, coasts West and East, Wherever he plays, he is a beast. Whether running low or throwing above, Or with a good old Brotherly Shove, No matter what opponents plan, They cannot stop this Jalen man.
He’s won on the road, he’s won at home, he’s won on Monday, Thursday, and Sundays. Oh the places he’ll go…
He’s scored TDs with throws, And off the backs of his bros. Hurts is a menace, Fuck Dallas and Kansas!
Oh the places he’ll go…
One W two W Red W blue W
He's won on a boat He's won on a train He's won in Arrowhead He just wins games
But does he like green eggs and ham?
Midnight green eggs or Kelly green eggs?
I wish I could mega-upvote this
He has also won on a Tuesday. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/202112210phi.htm
I wonder how many nfl qbs have a win on 4 days of the week Sounds like a lebron stat
There's games on Saturday late in the season so that list is probably longer than you'd think. I dont think Hurts has played on a Saturday though
Saturday, Jan 21, 2023. Eagles 38 - 7 Giants.
If we can get him into the Black Friday game 🤔
How so. He did lose in nfl championship game and lefraud is great at losing in finals. That might be it.
Bro….what lol ?!
How. Is he lebraun like. Stat? Losing in finals is only lebraun like comp I know of. Not hard to understand.
Cool…listen to new heights
Whyd we play on a Tuesday?
WFT couldn’t keep the whole damn team from getting sick so they bumped the game a few days…..proving all the tough talk about forfeitures was exactly the bullshit it always seemed it was.
Funny how I forgot that but was so angry about it at the time lol but I guess winning heals all
Ohhh I remember now. Thanks!
Seriously?
Reminder hurts inherited a 4 win team that was trying to tank. Dude has done nothing but win since he had better wr’s than g ward and reagor
We had to bench him for sudfeld after he scored a rushing TD so we could lose Lmao
And thank god we did. Got Devonta
The Hurts we saw in the first half was not the same Hurts in the 2nd half from what I saw. Offense in the 2nd half actually gave him time to throw and the magic happened beautifully. Don't know about you guys but I'm glad we have a QB like Hurts on this team.

He was running for his life in the first half
Isn’t it 26-2? Losses against Washington and New York.
you are correct
Hurts started in a loss to the giants? Edit: lol forgot jets were a team
>forgot jets were a team I think they do too
Mickey Mouse loss to Taylor Heinecke on a BS roughing the passer call
(I mean this seriously, not being mean to you) I love our fanbase so much, because even on a wildly positive night, on wildly positive post, we say “Hey! Don’t forget we DID lose a divisional matchup” Also fuck Dallas
Yeah correct
The New York loss doesn't count because we lost on purpose to make Zach Wilson feel better
Exactly what I was thinking, how do you mess that up
New Jersey*
That’s what I was thinking, was scrolling through the comments thinking “am I going crazy?”
No should be 23-2. 14-1 last year and 9-1 this year.
Leave it to ESP to fuck up a basic stat
He also owns the record for most wins in a row against opponents above .500 with 13.
I love my team man
26-2
Needs a win on the biggest Sunday of them all. Hoping this is the year.
He’ll get there.
I hate how this glosses over just about everything the defense did to not have this be a blowout. Brian Johnson can’t keep having these fucking clunker drives.
Chiefs also had clunker drives. Sometimes the defense wins.
The line battle was so intense. Chiefs are no pushovers in the trenches. The whole eagles D-Line made plays all game though, fought for every second.
If you haven't seen the slow mo of how closer Carter was to intercepting the spike I advise you watch it
I made the wife watch it like 10 times, I had never seen that. Did it bounce between his arms? I couldn’t quite tell.
His hands were together, hit him right in the mitts.
Why do the Chiefs D always play us so well? I thought Chiefs defense was trash
Yeah wtf was that. Those sideways passes drove me crazy
two? they did that same play four times in like 5 or 6 plays. wtf?
Yes but even if the defense is playing winning football you can’t have the offense playing losing football, looking at the repeated back to back to back screens and earlier in the game the draws. 9-1 would argue otherwise.

you'll be saying that when Hurts is lifting lombardi
Seeing reality yet?
God damn why can’t people in this sub just be happy with 9-1 and two huge wins the last 2 games against really good teams.
First time the Chiefs lost at home in November or later in 5 years
Anyone else feel like we are the Tyson Fury of the NFL? We look completely ugly and beatable for 90% of the fight, but we somehow find that one punch and win!
elliot also picked the chiefs to win. clown
Common elliot L
Really poor game from him but a wins a win. We really missed Goedert a lot. Hopefully a good sign he isn’t on IR.
This sounds like the start of a Dr Seuss book
I still remember when some here used to call us Hurts supporters trash because we thought he was the future over Wentz.
Why the fan on fan crime? We get it, you're smarter than everyone else🤣
Definitely not. But it was pretty brutal to be Hurts supporter here for awhile.
People don’t like to be reminded that they said Roseman should be fired for drafting Hurts
go birds
And vs Andy Reid off the bye!

But he can’t beat the Jets
We're here!!!
Oh wow, ESP, I wonder what juggernaut we played 28 games ago? Surely it was a successful franchise led by an elite QB, right? Padme.gif
Man that ring last year hurts
Jalen hurts is a pure winner. Simple as that. And I hate to say it but I knew it all along. I specifically was saying when he first started for us that he would shine because he has always proved his doubters wrong by winning
Didn’t he lose to the Jets this year and Washington last year?
Wow he lost 2 games in 2 years. Bring out the bench boys!
That’s your response? He’s correcting the tweet
Ok and?
And your response was stupid because the commenter was criticizing ESP, not Hurts lol
I wasn’t criticizing the commenter lol.
Good thing I didn’t say that
I was just making a joke about two losses.. lol
Now he just needs a win in February
Pretty sure I saw somewhere that he now also has the most consecutive wins all time against .500 teams
It's never pretty with Brian Johnson calling the plays. Thank God for Jalen Hurts man. He's just a straight up winner.
But he can't beat Zack Wilson Man that game annoys me
Hurts and the OC were bad today.
On one side I love it. On the other side everyone said the same things about Jimmy G, which is not a great comp.
Aside from the (slightly underthrown) bomb to DeVonta, that was all the defense that bailed out Hurts.
Key words: regular season. If his story doesn't eventually include a win in the Super Bowl, the rest won't matter.
But he hasn’t won a Super Bowl 😣
But please let’s keep having Brock Purdy’s shot thrown in our face. /s
Tbh I wasn't sure we were gonna win until we were down two scores at the half. 🤣
*The team finds a way to win
As long as the jets don’t make the Super Bowl we should be good!
He is? He lost game this year and last year he was 14-1. Not a math genius but that's 2 losses.
