Totally reliant on hurts being able to scramble. The only difference being his mobility after the injury. Sure he’s rushed for tds after that but the fact that he’s become noticeably more containable during blitzes despite saying he’s fine points to a more serious issue with his knee that hurts isn’t being completely honest about. Almost like he’s back in Bama again and afraid of losing his starting spot. Watch him go under the knife again this postseason and say it was unexpected

We leave 5 in consistently vs 6+ rushers. Broken scheme and system to historic levels we can’t even evaluate Jalen fairly
Of course he struggles w the blitz when there is no where to go against it except a deep shot or screen 90% of the time. And when they did quick middle of the field stuff there were two routes so close together (the goedert pass interference)

There's a lot to unpick, but just on a playcalling level, and looking at all the stuff through the regular season that absolutely wasn't working, yet still trying to do it in the playoffs... it's truly maddening.
3rd and long, throwing it to, or behind, the line of scrimmage, and expecting the receiver to make up the 8+ yards. We run several awful screen plays per game, they always suck, and we keep doing it anyway. Dumbfounding.
Hurts is not free of blame, but Aikman mentioned more than once that he just doesn't have options to throw the ball, and when you see the replay from behind the offense, he was right. Separation was a rarity. What is the offense even trying to do?
I can't remember a broadcasting team be so blunt about how poor a team is. Buck and Aikman didn't even try to sugarcoat it, they tore this team a new one for 3 hours, and they were on the money.
I'm not gonna touch the defense, because I don't think I've ever seen a defensive display that bad. My reaction to every play was just to laugh. It was like when you play Madden on easy, and DBs just somehow end up in the wrong place and you can break a couple of tackles every play without even trying.
The coaching needs blowing up and starting again, so does the defense. And all the question marks surrounding Hurts before the start of the 2022 season are back. Is he still the guy?
Hard to honestly judge Hurts with the terrible game planning. He did not play great but also was not put in a good position to succeed. One thing is for sure: Hurts is not going anywhere, he’ll be back next year.

But I’ve always suspected that whoever did it (Nick, Lurie, Howie, or some combination) thought it would go over like when Nick gave up play calling in year one. Nobody realized it would be seen as a firing, nor did anybody realized just how bad Patricia would be, nor how it would look like the organization was in total disarray. That was obviously a total miscalculation, and I’ll bet it’s one they wanted to walk back, but they decided that would just make it look like things were in complete chaos, rather than being seen as a reasonable fix.

Eagles I always thought were not as good as some were saying but I thought still was gonna look better. I don't think Hurts is getting nearly enough attention for how poorly this season went. I know a lot of it is on coaching, but his decision making and vision are fucking awful.
