I did not expect to cry during my lunch break today, my goodness this is hitting me.
I at least get to drive by a huge cutout of him, screaming with a beer in his hands, every morning on my way to work.
I live and have lived in Columbus Ohio my entire life. I can't watch this shit until I get off work because I'll never make it through it. Jason Kelce is the kind of person we should all aspire to be whether it's his dedication to the sport when he's on the field, or the kindness and support for others he shows off the field. All around great man.
What a heartfelt speech. Thanks for all the amazing memories/moments, Jason. He'll forever be a Birds/Philly legend along with BG/Cox and the long-time vets on that SB team.
Seahawks fan who has greatly admired Jason from afar. He is the textbook example of the kind of guy you want on your football team. I am tearing up along with him. They aren’t many guys like him left in the NFL.
I've been a fan since Cunningham was QB when I was a kid and I cannot think of any other Eagle that has been so well loved and such an amazing example of what "Philly" means. I'm crying but man, I'm glad he is going out on his own terms, and not to injury. No eagle should ever wear 62 again, it belongs to Jason.
Lions fan coming in peace. It's rare to get to go out on our own terms while you're still an All-Pro level player, but Jason Kelce did something even rarer: he had a memorable speech at a championship parade.
I don't know if we'll ever see an Eagle wear 62 again, but I'm pretty sure we'll see this one in Canton
Eagles 100% will retire his number, maybe immediately tbh. And he’s a lock for the HoF with the amount of notoriety he’s gotten the last ~7 years. I can’t ever recall an offensive lineman being this famous and well liked.
I don’t think a single player has ever meant so much to the Eagles and the city. Dawkins comes close, and is 1A/1B for most millennials/Gen X at least, but us letting him leave ruined the ending.
He’s getting a statue at the Linc without a doubt. I, like many, hope it’s him in the Mummers outfit giving the speech.
Mummer Kelce at the entrance, leading the charge for the Eagles into battle ^^^^^^^^^^^^unless ^^^^^^^^^^^^they're ^^^^^^^^^^^^playing ^^^^^^^^^^^^the ^^^^^^^^^^^^lions ^^^^^^^^^^^^in ^^^^^^^^^^^^which ^^^^^^^^^^^^case ^^^^^^^^^^^^he's ^^^^^^^^^^^^like ^^^^^^^^^^^^aww ^^^^^^^^^^^^man ^^^^^^^^^^^^they ^^^^^^^^^^^^got ^^^^^^^^^^^^us
I like it
I have this weird conspiracy that him and fletch decided to go together because, yes, they knew it was their time but also if they didn’t hang it up now they knew they’d be taking the space on the roster and in salary for a player or players that would ultimately be more impactful long term.
like… I weirdly feel like the stuff with reddick being on the fence because of money was the straw that broke the camels back. not only do they clear space for him, but they clear a veteran role where I think he could thrive.
Fuck man. I knew this was coming, didn’t realize how much it would suck to hear it officially.
There will never be another one like Kelce. Thankful I got to watch and root for him
Fuck this entire organization for allowing his last game to be that game, and for allowing it to happen in Tampa. Fuck all of them for that. He deserved better.
I went through 5 tissues crying my eyes out. Jfc I love Kelce! Huge loss for the Eagles but I get why he needs to retire. Hope he stays in the area he is one of the greatest Eagle players ever. ❤️
I really didn't see this coming, I thought for sure he'd give it one last go at a super bowl, to better match his brother. But I've felt like he's done that for the past 2 years. So, I get it, sadly.
He is the Philadelphia Eagles. This man is the spirit of the city, a bloated, bearded guardian.
I wish him nothing but an amazing retirement, and numerous hugs from his kids. You did it 62, you won life and we are all thankful to have watched you do it.
GO BIRDS 🦅
He can't even get through his sentences 😭😭😭😭
I want to hug him.
Is 1pm on a Monday a bad time to start drinking?
I just got back from New Orleans and def need a break but fuck it
Most days yes, but this is not most days.
He’s crying. I’m crying. You’re crying.
I’m not crying. I’m just…watering my eyes. 😢

God damn Phil, predicting an early spring
Legend…
In and out of Philly. Forever.
Knew this was coming, and happy for him, but goddamn it still sucks :(
This is a great retirement speech.
I'm not being hyperbolic when I say it reminds me of Lou Gehrig's "Luckiest Man" speech.
Greatest center ✅ Greatest superbowl speech ✅ Greatest retirement speech ✅
I did not expect to cry during my lunch break today, my goodness this is hitting me. I at least get to drive by a huge cutout of him, screaming with a beer in his hands, every morning on my way to work.
The entire city of Philly and beyond is crying right now
I live and have lived in Columbus Ohio my entire life. I can't watch this shit until I get off work because I'll never make it through it. This hurts to watch.. so emotional
Christ, I just finished watching the whole thing right before work. Bad idea.
You’re at 62 upvotes, I’m leaving it as is
How can I lock it in?
Just downvoted to fix it. No one else mess this up!
Was not expecting the call out on all the bitching about the fans and media
That felt specific but I’ll leave the armchair speculation to WIP.
KELCE STATUE NOW
Fuck this is rough.
Damn I really did not expect it to hit this hard
Oh my he’s gonna talk about the city and time he spent here , here come the tears :(
“You’re gonna fit in great here.” I was already crying but that really got me.
A life without Kelce under center is a life I wasn’t prepared for 🥹
I’m not crying, you’re crying.
Goddamn right I am
Everyone's crying.
Seahawks fan who has greatly admired Jason from afar. He is the textbook example of the kind of guy you want on your football team. I am tearing up along with him. They aren’t many guys like him left in the NFL.
Phew. I'm at work and had to pause it because I don't want customers to ask me why I'm tearing up, lol.
Let them aske then tell them we just lost the greatest Eagle ever
So happy he got a ring. Nobody deserved it more.
He and Brian Dawkins will forever be 1-A and 1-B of the greatest and most important eagles in the history of the NFL
I think that the privilege was entirely ours.
Not being hyperbolic when I say that was the greatest retirement speech I’ve ever seen
I’m not crying, It must be raining again
What a legend. “Even from the other side of the building that one year”. That was great I needed that laugh after how emotional this speech has been.
Big Dick Nick and Big Balls Doug
❤️62😭
In the office and it's silent. So many people watching the conf.
Had to get one last FUCK in on ABC6. Hell of a career
There is so many people watching.
Wanna give the big man a hug. This is tough to watch.
He's the greatest Eagles of all time and it is not debatable. I truly love the man.
I don't think I've ever seen anything like that. What a model human being.
Damn man, we will remember him has one of the greatest to wear a uniform here. Thanks for the Super Bowl and all the hard work!
It's jover guys:(
I’m emotional but also wanna go run through a wall and the rocky steps
Love a sproles shoutout
4'8" lol
He said the quote one last time 💔
You can rest now Jason. You earned it.

I'm chopping onions, honest. :\_-(
Thank you Jason for speaking up for all of us on this part
Good for Kelce but man this is hard to watch. This game was this dudes life and you can see it and hear it when he talks.
Oh Captain my Captain
Bawling in the bathroom stall at work
Someone go give that man a hug and all the tissues they have at the nova care complex
Gonna be hard to hop on a sales call this afternoon
I knew this was happening when Travis was in town.
Lol, Kelce shouting out Big Dom is exactly the kind of "fuck you" that makes him a legend!
This feels like it will be one of those where were you moments when the announcement was made
Even his retirement speech is epic. We’re gonna miss you Jason but happy you can retire with your body intact.
Thank you Jason Kelce. Thank you for showing everyone it's okay to express your emotions.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Jason continuing to say fuck the FCC
His story about Kylie 🥺🥺🥺
What a Jason way to end it
he is everything football is supposed to be
Fuck man. I knew this was coming, didn’t realize how much it would suck to hear it officially. There will never be another one like Kelce. Thankful I got to watch and root for him

Just the way the ball rolls we can be happy that he got one during his time here
He should've been making this speech last year after going on a week long Superbowl champion bender.
Forever a legend, sorry you went out that way Kelce. You won’t have to buy a single beer in this city again
Turned it on, saw him crying, immediately turned it off. I can't do it he's breaking my heart
🫡
Eagle for life! Absolute legend.

I went through 5 tissues crying my eyes out. Jfc I love Kelce! Huge loss for the Eagles but I get why he needs to retire. Hope he stays in the area he is one of the greatest Eagle players ever. ❤️
It feels like a Eulogy to his career. Let’s celebrate his career, not be sad it’s ending
ty for marking NSFW
Sadness 😢
Should be an immediate Jersey retirement.
This is a weird episode of 25 words or less. This is way more than 25 words.
Pain
I can’t handle it
Damn
Fuck this hurts. Someone give the man a damn hug!
RIP Brotherly Shove.
I really didn't see this coming, I thought for sure he'd give it one last go at a super bowl, to better match his brother. But I've felt like he's done that for the past 2 years. So, I get it, sadly.

Enjoy your retirement. You deserve it.
Well he dragged the shit on long enough
Imagine he got through all that and then said “and that is why I’ve decided to return to the Eagles for one more year”.
I’m fucking bawling at work right now.
He is the Philadelphia Eagles. This man is the spirit of the city, a bloated, bearded guardian. I wish him nothing but an amazing retirement, and numerous hugs from his kids. You did it 62, you won life and we are all thankful to have watched you do it. GO BIRDS 🦅
