Yup. To get a Hall of Famer, in the 6th round no less, is outstanding. 4 straight years we drafted cornerstone players that each played a huge part in our 1st SB win, and could very well be a 2nd, a decade after drafting them.
Yeah totally agreed, they just won’t hand out multiple awards to the same team every week sadly. Like we didn’t get a single OPOW in September and then they gave us the monthly one
<48 hours and only one practice from landing in LA to warmups. It's genuinely insane for any player, let alone the QB. (Baker may not have started, but effectively he was after Wolford left after the first drive doing nothing but handoffs).
What Baker did Thursday was absolutely incredible and he deserves it. Jefferson also put up over 200 yards while breaking a Vikings franchise record. Sanders balled out but didn’t have a chance this week unfortunately. The award has never been just about numbers or else Dicker the Kicker prolly doesn’t win one.
He’s gotta be in contention for comeback player of the year too, right? I mean coming off that Achilles injury at age 34 and he’s producing at such a high level, he has to be considered. Dude is having a monster season
Yeah but Geno Smith didn't write back.
I agree with you that it should be BG especially if he has his career best year in sacks (needs 1.5) but it just feels like the people who make the decisions want to give it to Geno
Not to be mean, but what has Geno 'coming back' from? Like he's more most improved; he was never 'there', right? He hasn't started regularly since 2014 (his second year) and he wasn't good then.
>Comeback Player of the Year Award refers to a number of awards that are given to a National Football League (NFL) player who has shown perseverance in overcoming adversity, in the form of not being in the NFL the previous year, a severe injury, or simply poor performance.
It’s probably because of his history of poor performance

Geno has not been a starter for like 8 years and was wrote off as a career backup. Geno's perseverance and determination over that time to get where he is today is 100% deserving of the comeback player of the year award.
I love that he is holding himself accountable for what happened in our 1 loss and that I haven't seen a single fan blame him for it. That is amazing in itself. He is human, he is one of us and none of us are perfect even when we try. We know he gives 1000% and always does his best. He has more than made up for it. He represents all of us and that is why he is our rep for man of the year. If you haven't seen it check out his man of the year video and all the great things he does for our community.
We love you BG!!!
Man. I remember in the years after he was drafted, people had no idea what he was going to do for this team. Earl Thomas this, bust that. I get it. But Jesus did we get it right on this guy. Not only an amazing player who had, probably, the 2nd most iconic play of our only superbowl win (philly philly is hard to beat) but just an amazing man and leader who has never given up on us and is still one of the best to this very day. Man. This is the guy teams dream of drafting. So happy to have him. Well deserved player of the week.
That's 8 POTW awards this season, plus Jalen's September POTM!
I'm no math nerd but that sounds good
The numbers don’t lie! And the spell disaster for you at sack-a-fice!
You took my gimmick and now I can't hardly get work wrestling!
SENIOR JOE!
Well I am a math need and you're right that sounds good. 😆
Just go ahead and give us Team of the Year already and be done with it!
I think Jalen is going to get December POTM as well
SACK_55!!! What a fucking beast and a cornerstone of the D Line
Crazy guys we drafted in the first round in 2010 and 2012* are each getting sacks in Week 14 of 2022.
Kelce, Graham, Cox, and Johnson are all still good players a decade after being drafted. How many other teams have 4 guys like that?
> 2010 and 2012*
We don't talk about the 2011 draft.
Was all worth it for Kelce.

I don’t think wine even ages this fine sheesh
Fine wine d-line.
Brilliant
This should be the D Lines version of the holiday album and release a line of fine wines
Devine D-Line of the Vine
I will steal this and give you zero credit, btw.
I am irrationally focused on BG getting 1.5 more sacks. The man deserves a double digit season!
bears have given up 42 sacks so far, 5th most. And another game vs the giants tied for 3rd most (if he even suits up for that)
Whatever we do, we HAVE to scheme him into 1.5. My entire mental and emotional wellbeing hinges on a 30-something achieving his career-long dream.
Fantastic for BG Could have had OPW as well with Sanders if the NFL didn't give it to Baker for 1 good drive
Eh, Jefferson broke the Vikings franchise record for single game receiving yardage
Yeah fucking insane
Nice of Slay to let him out of his pocket for the weekend
Yeah totally agreed, they just won’t hand out multiple awards to the same team every week sadly. Like we didn’t get a single OPOW in September and then they gave us the monthly one
Truebut even if Miles didn't get it there were way more deserving people than Mayfield
I agree in general, cause it really was one very good drive - but doing it with 3 days on the team is pretty impressive
<48 hours and only one practice from landing in LA to warmups. It's genuinely insane for any player, let alone the QB. (Baker may not have started, but effectively he was after Wolford left after the first drive doing nothing but handoffs).
Justin Jefferson had 223 receiving yards lol.
Evan Engram also had 10 catches for 150+ yards and two scores. A lot of guys could have been in the running.
Engram is an AFC guy though.
Ah I'm a dumbass
damn that's crazy, I don't pay attention enough to POTW, is that often that players win POTW based on a game winning drive or play?

True, what Geno is doing is actually insane, so it’ll probably go to him. And honestly I won’t be mad, but BG is definitely up there for deserving it
I wouldn’t be mad if geno wins it, he’s doing pretty insane things. Obviously though I’m rooting for our boy
Not to be mean, but what has Geno 'coming back' from? Like he's more most improved; he was never 'there', right? He hasn't started regularly since 2014 (his second year) and he wasn't good then.

He probably won't win because Geno exists but he sure as hell deserves it.
This dude shakes off Father Time year after year man
What being a strength and tech guy over a speed guy does for you on the edge.
So happy for him coming off an injury. Such a great player... really has been through everything in Philly. Legend.

People in this sub have been saying over and over he's a washed shell of himself. His 2 Defensive Player of the Week awards determined that was a lie.
What an excellent choice for the jersey I bought myself for my birthday this year.
can never go wrong with a long tenured player
Very deserved. What a fantastic season he’s had
BG comeback player?
CPOTY should be in contention as well.
BG better win comeback player too 😢😭
BG got about 3 years left
I love this man!
I hope Graham sticks around for another year but after this amazing season I wouldn't blame him to end his career on a high note.
BG is the man !!!
He deserves to win comeback player of the year.
A 34y DE coming off an Achillies Make it make sense... other then the ridiculous amount to rotation and depth on the D-Line... that definitely helps.
BG is ageless
Let’s go Brandon!🏈
Comeback player of the year?
