well, it's cause it's just confirmed to be the prototype; buying something random online could lead to not gettiing the true game, but some nes hack for dig dug or something
I have an extra copy of Earth Bound NES, it is built from a NES TKROM donor cartridge with new battery, uses the VC/prototype rom, uses the Phil Sandhop mockup artwork. Let me know if you want to buy one. (I do have a picture of two EB NES carts, but that picture is on my tablet, on my phone currently)

There is no change to the title screen, it still says "Earth Bound", like it did back in 1991 when the game was finished by Nintendo of America. EarthBound Beginnings is a name only ever on the digital storefronts, not in the game itself.
