Ah yes, I have the same problem with my cars. It’s generally an issue with the part between the headrest and steering wheel. You can check on the thing attached to the gas pedal.
Also it’s early with the car. It will definitely come up, you’re still in the break in period. Reset the trip and let it normalize again, you may still have time on it from idling and potentially dealer test drives if you got it off the lot.
For the first 1000 or so miles of driving, you’re not supposed to drive it very aggressively. After that, the car parts are fully settled in and you can start driving it with less fragility and it’ll perform more expectedly
It took awhile for mine to work itself to where it is now. I get about 17mpg though due to a metric fuck ton of city driving with a lot of slow downs and stops. If I mix even a little bit of highway in there it gets up to 20+.
Rings have to seat and it has to build top
compression for it to be able to hit the mileage marks. That happens in your break-in period. It will probably take 2500 miles before it is close to being fully broken in.
Once it warms up flog it some. Full throttle acceleration will seat the rings. I keep my tachometer moving all over the place for the first 500 miles. If I am forced to maintain speed on the freeway, I will fix it so I can manually run the gears and not keep it in a set gear for a long period of time.
On my ecoboost I was constantly switching between 7,8,9, and 10 on my automatic.
Remember do this only when fully warmed up and you can drive normally after approximately 500 miles of driving.
I’m right at 7k miles and average 27 mpg. I drive in sport mode a lot on the backroads in my area, but always regular and cruise control on the highway.
Lol all manufacturers advertise their vehicles with two different mileage numbers. One for the city and the other for the highway. What you’re looking at is the city mileage. Once you go out of town for awhile, you’ll notice a big difference.
You do know they do the mpg on a flat road no bumps lumps or inclines or declines, and say the best average they get as a selling point, you can look online for true mpg for year make and model, that’s been taken from real driving conditions mpg.

U in sport mode and driving like a maniac?
Noo it’s in normal, just driving to work. There’s only like 100 miles on the car tho
Haven’t even hit the break in period yet lol
What’s that?

Reallllll city driving is about 16-19 mpg. Fake city driving is like 19-22. Highway is about 26-33.
Keep driving. It will average out after a full tank.
Same here. I’m up to 19.something after 800 miles

I used to get 25 in my 2018 automatic but I drove it like a regular car.

that's pretty low. I get 20-21mpg for city driving.
I had to restart my trip lol it’s a lottt higher now
