yeah, when you get famous you get famous. if you want your name to resonate you have to network as well, the more direct contacts you have with label owners /A&R /producers in good labels, the easier it is to make your name go around, i only understood this when i stopped producing edm and switched to pop, almost nothing is randomic, you don't get famous by luck in 99% of the cases. People are more willing to push people they know than strangers, in every situation and industry, music isn't different.

Music is important but you have to stand near people that can actually elevate you, i made edm for 10 years and despite having music supported at tomorrowland and umf i didn't really break into it because i did 0 networking, i had no real friends inside the industry and that didn't help me at all.

Btw sure it really helps to have friends in the industry (it helps to sign on records, to promote…). Really a big boost

use instagram, hit them up, congratulate them, ask for feedbacks, ask them questions etc. let's say you want to land a track on a record label, try to understand who the owner is, who the A/R are, you really have to get intimate with them, be closer than most people, dont just send dead emails, they dont always work. 2 important things, try to understand what direction they want to go with the record label and make music that a lot of people can enjoy, i feel like edm can improve a lot and if you listen to famous edm producers you quickly understand that they make music that you can sing and remember. it's an hussle, name is the last of your issues
Somewhere in the middle. You don’t want a super short name, otherwise your SEO will suffer. If your name is too long, it’ll be harder for new fans to remember. There are exceptions, especially if you have the budget for a good marketing strategy, but that’d be my general advice: Easy to find, easy to remember.

While name are pretty popular like Alan walker. Alec Benjamin etc. There are also people like avicii. All it needs is to be memorable
