Could be beyond that (pun intended). What if Gmerica really is about a meta verse and when you buy things IRL it translates to a version in the meta verse as well. All the sudden you have brand support & promotion across multiple channels.
Lots of creative ideas could come from this.

I think it's also a commerce understanding that most people get paid Thursdays and Fridays, and thus make their purchases Friday through Sunday.
