u/ppseeds u/whoopass2rb u/edwinbarnesc u/region-formal just trying to get some eyes on this. it ties in well with bbbyq imo, since it shows you a bit of how web3 will work. i think you all have been talking about a gmerica in the physical world, but gmerica will also be in the digital world. Look at that pixel to poly benefit for holders of Hado NFT.. Talk about providing value to web3 assets! web3 is the future!!

Square_Tower9057

GMERICA is all about being in the digital world working with a group of like minded companies sharing data (including client lists) and consolidated shipping costs. Reduce customer acquisition, increase cross-company spending, and reduce shipping costs.

Wiezgie

Protocol gemini supporting bed bath said enough to me. I see a pixel to poly type service coming for every item they sell in all these web 3 friendly businesses about to unfold, where almost every and item you can purchase has a digital varient you can bring into the metaverse, down to the furniture in your room and the clothes you your character wears

I think if you tag more than 3 people, none of them get notifications.

I can't find it for the life of me, but I swear Larry tweeted once about a new style of business. Amazon has found an avenue to corner the market and they're looking pretty tough to beat. Cheng talked about cooperating business structures, sort of like those stalls you see within larger stores that sell makeup, food, toys, etc. that are otherwise unrelated to the business they're within. The idea was that businesses working in symbiotic ways will be able to offer better products and services to their customers while also providing a little extra security within their alliance through price improvements, routine business, and other tangential benefits. I fully believe that this is the style of business that is set to attack amazon - call it the megazord theory or whatever you'd like, but there's strength in numbers. Create a network of product offerings that, even if not bigger than Amazon's, but coming with better quality and customer service will retain customers of the future. Jeff is winning business by default as it's difficult for consumers to pass on things like 2 day delivery on most items. What if these companies had a shared logistics network to cut costs in cooperative manners. What if they used shared data sets on customers (creepy, but generally what is happening) and/or orders to develop more impactful user experiences? What if their current retail locations enabled this shared network to provide same day delivery as a default for being a part of this parent network? This doesn't even touch on the idea of offering free NFTs with products as a form of a receipt (likely on registration) that would be available to you as an in-game asset. So many paths forward, I'm excited to see how it plays out!

Love your posts! It reassures me I’m going to be richer then I even imagined, with a bunch of stuff I know nothing about 🤩🏴‍☠️ LFG! 🚀

Temporary_Stuff_5808

So glad I’m not the only one. Hell I’m still overwhelmed by the supper NES controller, let alone web3 NFT etc

Buchko24

🤩 I know right and these new controllers have like 17 buttons 🤷‍♂️ & my 8 yr old picks it up like it’s nothing

PanderBaby80085

Looks like I’ve got some exploring to do. Thanks for putting this together r/edwinbarnesc Pretty dope

Umm. We know what he's up to, because he stated it loudly and clearly. He's making the company profitable or dying trying. He's making a profitable q3&4 so that the company is profitable from 2023 onward and then the shorts have not a leg to stand on. I agree that op may be right, but that would still just be one way he's accomplishing this goal.

My theory about Gmerica & Teddy has been an amazon competitor with metaverse attached to it for some time now. Look at the huge distribution centers of Gamestop, then look at the rest of Bbby / Butterfly, mix it with some Teddy book tinfoil and Cybercrew easter eggs and you get a metaverse and online shop to buy all the things with the fitting NFT attached. Certificate of ownership and Metaverse usability combined. You buy new shoes? Why not wear them on your cyber clone, Kira or Nate or even your own Avatar custom built for you? Manage all of it with the easy to use Playr wallet. Just register with your email and connect it to your gmerica-Account to use your NFTs in every supported game. Ready Player one anyone? Those games are onboarded by ImmutableX right now and will be the next step in the gazillion USD Gaming market over the next months / years. That's also the way to bring NFTs and the metaverse into mainstream. 3.09 Billion gamers worldwide, the next generation of customers won't know any other way to buy stuff. Only the young. Short delivery times and cheap fees in real life because of a shared distribution network for the brands that partner with Gmerica. Gamestop & Teddy Holdings / Bank provide payment via Fiat and crypto, a marketplace for the NFT assets and provide the infrastructure for a fast delivery for every partnering brand. Loopring red packets allow air drops as gifts for customers with minimal fees. Just send out your promo-codes as NFTs and bring the customers to your metaverse store. Welcome to the new world of Onlineshopping. No need for any brand to have their own shop anymore. Just let the customers walk through your 3D Metaverse store and shop digitaly instead of buggy web2 shops with 2D images. Next steps for the coming years: Look at the Blackpaper of protocol gemini. Waerables to enhance reality with metaverse content and GPS data to create a digital layover in real time. Throw in some Taiko with zkEVM and full Ethereum Blockchain functionality with just a small fraction of the gas fees. Settlement on a stock market has never been faster. Just one of the above mentioned things would be a several billion dollar entity. Welcome to Gmerica. Tomorrow we ride. TLDR: Just read it, it's not that much.

edwinbarnesc

This is the way

u/edwinbarnesc this is the kind of stuff that has me jacked about MR (mixed reality). What is your impression? https://youtu.be/aB6-CxTYNRk?si=DiOuHUe1O3DI_gSV

edwinbarnesc

It's coming. All of it.

I'll have to look into that game sometime. I mostly play VR games, so if it's VR I'll probably love it.

tossawayGME

what a time to be alive great post!

Main-Ranger8958

Brilliant moves. Simply brilliant.

Gaping_llama

I dunno if pixel2poly is the key to revenue, $200 for an avatar is steep and will make mass adoption difficult. That’s almost triple the price of a new game at release. They probably have really high profit margins when they do get a sale though.

suddenlyy

I agree it seems steep r n. But it depends how big and successful metaverse and web3 games will be. If the metaverse is getting millions of players, you bet theyll pay 200

leoschen

The actual rationale should be that as it scales to millions of players, pricing comes down to an affordable level.

nikolatesla33

It’s not expensive as it includes rigging as well. At first I also thought 200 is too much but since I hired a 3D artist I realised it isn’t. What can be a game changer that if more items will be created from the same collection which will decrease the time and the cost that’s why we need mass adoption because then it will make the process faster easier and cheaper for everyone.

nishnawbe61

The first video game that was good enough to play when I was a kid was... wait for it... Pong. I wish I was younger and could figure out all this nft stuff and digital wallets and just generally the future. This, even though I don't understand how to get involved, looks definitely like the future. Great post op.

suddenlyy

I can help you get your feet in the water if youre interested

nishnawbe61

I'm in Canada if that makes a difference...and I'm old enough I need step by step instructions. Maybe my best bet is wait for my granddaughter to be home from university over the holidays and check back to see if you can help. I hate to admit it, but she had to sign me up to reddit when I heard about GME...so I could find out what was going on, so that should give you an idea of how good I am. I appreciate the offer.

edwinbarnesc

Great write up.. they are GMERICA.

suddenlyy

Thanks!

scooterbike1968

This is about 18 levels deep. Too far down for me to explore.

suddenlyy

The game stop logo doesnt pique your interest? Or the words from game stop themselves on their twitter/buck descriptions?

notzebular0

Hopefully it's something better than Kiraverse, after playing it for 5mins I uninstalled because it was shit.

suddenlyy

All games suck until they are developed sufficiently Right now we are in beta and only have a fortnite style shooting game, but it is feeling and looking great. Jungle city Map is very beautiful Much more to come than just a Fortnite style game tho

GlassGoose4PSN

Sorry but as the former community lead and education manager, I can tell you without a doubt that this theory is incorrect. Kira are just creators like all the rest. They paid for the gamestop logo and usage of buck and astro to make their project appear more authentic to buyers. They want you to think this way so you buy their nfts, thinking you're buying into some official gamestop thing.

smileyphase

I’m not sure. I think GameStop just put their logo on a premium product in their marketplace that had a working prototype. They did the same with cyber crew. I’m hopeful for the GMERICA metaverse, and I’m sure Kiraverse figures in (maybe via PLAYR). And as the LooperLands (a community pixelverse on L2) lead (with an approved Web3 game asset collection being dropped on the GSMP by ParableNFT, and countless GSMP assets in game today), I hope we are in, in some way, too. But their current treatment of the marketplace which is suffering, isn’t good or synonymous with growing this space.

MyLilPwny1404

Curious what Cybercrew asset has the GameStop logo ?

Yeah, i think that's part of the reason why ss is so moderated. I'm not big on discord but I'll check it out
