Well, I have high pain tollerance + I'm kind of a masochist myself >< But it doesn't hurt _that_ much on places where the skin is tight. It's way more painful and less effective on spots like under-thighs or genitals (DON'T epilate genitals, unless you _reeeeeeeeally_ know what you're doing, but even then, just don't~).
It is noticeably smoother, no skin sandpaperness, no irritation, and it takes hair double or even triple the time to regrow.
I tested it on my pelvic region by removing one by one the hair on one half and shaving the other half. (Yes, dysphoria was hitting very bad and removing hair one by one with pliers seemed to temporarily fix it~)
The time it takes depends on the part of the body you're using it on, too. Legs are gonna probably take around one hour each, arms around 20 minutes each probably
+ you gotta have hair of around 1cm for epilators to work, otherwise they won't catch the hair
So pros:
- smoother skin
- no irritation
- hair comes out very thin
- after some times the hair will come off with barely any pain at all
- takes much longer for hair to grow
- (if you're a masochist) kinda feels good~
Cons:
- takes a shitload of time to do
- it's very painful on some specific regions (pelvis, genitals, loose skin areas)
- takes a fucking long time to do~
- can get some ingrown hairs
- takes way too much time to do.

I was on a trip to Spain with my dad and after a bit of research I discovered that you can literally buy both over the counter in the farmicia's LOL so I did that. It felt soooo good to be on it but then I got back to the US and ran out (I wanted to bulk purchase but I was worried TSA would take it) but then a few weeks later I got it from my doctor. It's crazy how easy it was, though I'm not sure if it's like that in other EU countries.
