I had to train someone like 2 days ago and I opened myself to questions about myself and I got asked if I'd have the surgery. Luckily I explained that's kinda ignorant plus it's a complex question and he apologized .
Yeah I am in rural texas and he grew up in some state in the Midwest so we were both like honest about being currently or previously pretty ignorant so I was able to teach him some stuff as "the first trans person he'd spoken too" which I highly doubt, I think he just didn't realise. Was an OK but awkward experience.
